Thanks for the new thread @TheSpoonyNavyReader We are indeed a very chatty lot!
@Buscake Hello to the reborn teenage you! That's fantastic.
@GameOfJones The progress from thread to thread is indeed mind-blowing. So good to see so much progress from everyone, both on and off scales.
@ShineyGreen I think you're right, its the medical grade ADHD speed that does that. One of my closest friends is on what I think might be the same meds and she's gone from being a total foodie to really not caring about food at all.
@soupforbrains I'm disappointed that you didn't bring the scales!
@TryingMJ I have the opposite problem. I have to take psyllium husk to keep me regular and not have to strain. I haven't had a movement for two days now, which is absolutely unheard of for me, simply because I forgot to take it for a few days.
@TheSpoonyNavyReader Planning what to eat at work and how to manage overnight trips is a challenge, it's one of the strategies that I've had to work hardest at. I have a Wasabi near me at work so usually have the salmon sashimi set for lunch one or two days a week, but take home made soup or salad in a couple of days. There's very little available near my office that's both nutritious and nice to eat. Office lunches are an absolute danger zone for me.
And on overnight trips, I also have to be careful - I've ordered some very strange combinations in restaurants to try and keep calories down and protein up, but my default fallback if its a typical hotel menu is a burger with no bun, sauces on the side (no mayo, mustard instead), leave the chips and onion rings and add a side salad with no dressing bar a squeeze of lemon juice. It's not perfect and I doubt you'd lose much eating that every day but it's really hard in some of those restaurants to find anything that's not a complete calorie bomb.
Congratulations on the new job, though, sounds exciting!
