Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

Thread 6 blows my mind

Has anyone dropped their dose?

I was on 5mg for 11 weeks then did 1 of 5.83, 1 of 6.25 and 1 of 7.5. I feel like the 7.5 was too strong so an debating counting clicks to go back to 6.25, has anyone done similar?

SharpOpalNewt · 12/08/2025 09:48

I've kept upping mine as my body gets used to it.

SW: 13st 4lbs
CW: 11st 5lbs
GW: 11st 0lbs

Normal BMI for the first time in 17 years! 🎉

Morning all, have had a read through all the comments I've missed when away and looking like we're all doing really well. Sorry those who are losing hair, you can have some of mine, I've a thick bushy head of hair and it's not budging.

Wish my boobs would go down a bit more, don't get me wrong I've lost 17 cm from them but they're huge still.

Anyway weigh in at the end of week 19 is a brilliant 2lb. I've not been consciously counting calories and have eaten more so I'm chuffed to bits.

SW 15st 3
CW 12st

Total loss is 45 lb/ 3st 3lb 🎉🎉🎉

Still on 2.5mg

I'm loving not being able to wear some of my old stuff as quite frankly they were all unappealing massive sacks that I'm selling off. Wore a size 14 top yesterday and I felt fabulous. It's amazing how more confident I feel.

Happy Tuesday everyone x

I found 7.5 too strong for quite awhile, I cut back to 5 mg and then went back up to 7.5 because 5mg wasn’t effective enough and this time the food depression and side-effects were not as bad. I’ve been on 7.5 for about eight weeks, and I’m beginning to think I’m ready to go up to 10.

What is happening on 7.5?

TheBossOfMe · 12/08/2025 12:02

@Fatmumslim01I found 7.5 too much so split dose 5/2.5 for a few weeks. And then moved back down to 5 as I hit goal.

I’m 53 and 5ft3. So one of the oldies on this thread! A lot of this for me was about some of the health challenges that I was likely to face as I got older - S Asian background means very high risk of T2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. So keeping my weight right down where it is now has to be a lifetime goal.

Fatmumslim01 · 12/08/2025 15:22

Thanks all I went with 50 clicks of a 7.5 pen so a 6.25 dose.

I did 7.5 last week and found I got a massive headache z and constipation despite psyllium husks and loads of water, and also the suppression was too strong, even 10 days post jab I was still stuffed. (I delayed a jab due to weekend away hence 10 days)

Also injected into my thigh for the first time ever and I think it was my 22nd jab. So much more easier and comfortable than my tummy where it's more like a game of "find the tiny bit of skin not covered in stretch marks" 😂

Chilldrill · 12/08/2025 15:51

@TheSpoonyNavyReader congratulations! @Bipaloss looking fab!
@2025mj a clump came out last week but weirdly seems to be a lone incident, that seems like a lot of hair though, may be worth speaking to your doctor. I take collagen, and think it's helped. Some also say biotin is good, but as you have other health concerns I would definitely speak to someone.
Back from 'holidays' 3 lb down, so 9.4 now, had ice cream every day as well! Was lovely, applebys, one scoop in a tub, each day, flavours were: lemon cheesecake, coconut, and rum and raisins, enjoyed every scoop!

LilyLondon · 12/08/2025 17:57

@SharpOpalNewt wohoo! That’s amazing for you! Congratulations

I started Wegovy at 31/now 32, am I the baby here? Feels weird lol

I went on WLIs because I didn’t recognize myself after having two kids not too far apart (and wanted to look somewhat ok for my sister’s wedding).

I’ve just hit -11kg as a post-TOTM mini-whoosh, so down from 84kg to 73kg. Next mini goal is -2st, and GW is below 70kg (which I’ve only been at after my best weight-loss effort back in college - and for a very short time). I’m quite excited as it seems so close now!

Puddingpiper · 12/08/2025 19:23

@Justformounjarodid you do supplements before? I’ve started at the same time as started MJ and intrigued as to how much of the benefits I am feeling is the weight loss and how much in the supplements.

@Flamethrowers4lbs in 13 days is good going I recall putting a stone on in 10 a couple of years ago. Did you inject whilst you were away?

@Fatmumslim01 I came down from 5mg to 3.75mg after a week as the sulphur burps were vile, my suppression felt the same on both doses.

NSV here i have had three people in the past two days say that they can tell I have lost weight I think I will take that as progress from ‘you’re looking well’ and makes the meagre 0.4kg weight loss in 2 weeks feel slightly better. My body does not seem to want to drop below 90kg

Flamethrowers · 12/08/2025 20:08

Hi I haven’t injected for a week and I am very hungry and snacking. Snacking healthily but nonetheless snacking. Need to go and get another pen.

RuthEvershedforPM · 12/08/2025 22:10

@2025mj yep also losing hair - I have quite thin hair anyway so have started stand vitamins today and will do some research

@Bipaloss Wowsers - what a difference, but you are beautiful in both x

@soupforbrains 45 here, feel older sometimes as my friends have younger children and I have one who’s left home … but I do look younger having lost some weight :)

@TheSpoonyNavyReader what a glam granny you will be, so thrilling x

Justformounjaro · 12/08/2025 23:32

@Puddingpiper Before MJ, I would take a multivitamin sporadically so I can’t say whether taking extra things are about an overall improvement in nutrients or the supplements themselves. My hair and nails are certainly stronger than previously. My joints not so much but I put that down to the exercise that I’m now doing.

northernlight20 · 13/08/2025 08:10

Morning all,
it’s wed and it’s weigh and jab day. Weighed in at 91.7kg today, another 1kg down this week.
sw 114.4kg
cw 91.7kg
mini goal weight is 88kg cos that’s what I was 12yrs ago.
goal weight is between 70 and 75kg

MJ122025 · 13/08/2025 10:19

Finally hit my 2 stone loss today. 22 weeks. Hoping this will kick start me as only 9lbs left until maintenance.

Bipaloss · 13/08/2025 10:30

Great losses and NSV’s

doing my 7th 10mg tonight and since Monday morning I’m starving like a constant hunger , this morning I was so hungry I felt ill (despite eating more than usual last couple of days but not binging) only up 1 kg which is normal for me as I tend to loose maintain and gain (with highest weight on Wednesdays and lowest on Sunday’s plus some water retention in this weather)

hoping tonight’s jab will work a bit better as was planing to do a 8 day interval next two weeks due to holidays and not wanting to jab during let’s see might change that strategy

Outsidebeanshop · 13/08/2025 13:40

HAIR LOSS 😩 I have been a bit of the loop on this thread for a while, just plodding along but came back today as I’m freaking out - for the last 3 weeks my hair has been coming out - a lot. If I hold my hair in a pony tail and run my hands down it clumps will come out. But today I can really notice balding patches by my hair line. What do I do!

PoundsLost · 13/08/2025 15:41

21st Jab this morning and I weighed in at 13st exactly. So close to the 12s. I last weighed this in lockdown where it was easy to IF since there was no socialising.

12st 10 will be 3 st lost. I feel kind of the same. Slightly squishier and less bulbous, but I forget that I look different compared to a few months ago to other people. I’ve kept wearing most of my tops, but jeans have gone down one or two sizes but same brands just from Vinted.

I don’t have hair loss but I prioritise protein if I really can’t eat much. I have also never lost as much as 2lbs a week and I’m having to try harder now with suppression and calories as I’ve bounced around the same 3lbs for 3 weeks.

Ingangoolie · 13/08/2025 16:15

Hi all.
week 21 here and another 1lb off. Edging downwards.

I am slowly getting more carbs in to fuel up for exercise and also to make my diet more sustainable as I get closer to GW. Still have 1.5 stone to go but not rushing.

For hair loss I’d say what others have said, check you’re not running on empty, getting enough calories and nutrients, especially protein and then try multi vitamin, collagen and magnesium. If these don’t help, go see your GP.

Beinthepresent · 14/08/2025 08:31

Morning all. Weigh in day for me and I've lost a whopping 1.8 kilos! 3rd week on 5 and I didn't realise how the food noise had started to come back until I realised it had gone again this week.
Sw 104.9 - 16.6 stones.
Cw 83.8 kilos. 13.2 stones
Tw in the 60s somewhere. Nearly half way there!
So close to getting into the 12s. Someone above said they were starting to be able to look at their weight in stones again and I totally agree! I used kilos as they didn't really mean anything to me and also my scales seem to have got stuck on kilos when I did my weigh in for my first prescription.

Please please please can you share tips for incrwasing my protein with me that don’t involve yoghurt or anything with a yoghurt texture or powders. I really dislike thick liquids or runny foods. Sounds daft I know but they coat my throat.

I’m also interested to know this. I don’t mind yogurt ordinarily but I have been eating so much of it that the texture is now making me gag. I also don’t like powders, I can’t swallow them in yogurts or things and they also make my stomach turn thinking of them in pancakes etc. I don’t mind a protein shake, but literally only one brand (Purition vegan - I’m not vegan but this is what I’ve found I like, it’s a bit bitty, not a powder really, it’s ground up nuts etc)

MJ122025 · 14/08/2025 12:08

For protein, my go to are eggs and light babybels. I have two hard boiled eggs, two light babybel, a cereal bar and a pear for lunch every day. Boring but effective.

A medium egg is 6.5g of protein and a babybel is 5. So I get 23g from that.

I'll then have two more eggs with my evening meal plus chicken/tuna/fish and salad. It's not 100g but it all helps.

Yellowsubmarine55 · 14/08/2025 12:18

Any kind of fish is good so tuna, salmon, smoked haddock and cod. Chicken obviously but pork is good as well and I have turkey meatballs as well. Eggs as a pp suggested.

Snacks for me are almonds or light babybel.

I wasn't a yoghurt eater before I started but I now find yoghurt with a few sultanas and a bit of granola sprinkled on is yummy, probably due to the different textures. Try it.

My go to's for protein are fridge raiders, or cooked chicken in general, boiled eggs, babybel lights and arla chocolate protein milkshakes.

I also don't eat regular bread anymore, I use the warburtons bread items, thins, bagels, pittas... and fill them tuna and salad, phillidelphia light and bacon, egg mayo and salad.

Hope that helps 🙂

museumum · 14/08/2025 15:11

Thanks everyone. Chicken fish eggs and cheese are all things I can get into. Just need to do some prep to have them ready to eat cold.
