Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

Weigh in Day today.

LOST 5lb this week which I great as it’s the 3lb I gained on holiday plus an extra 2lb to pick up the momentum again.

SW:19st10(preMJ start weight 20st)
CW:16st8
GW:11st7

really pleased with this week I was only hoping to maybe she’s the holiday gain this week. I’ve not lost more than 2lbs in a week for a while so this is a mini whoosh for me.

RuthEvershedforPM · 02/08/2025 12:42

Ace work @soupforbrains! Back in the saddle for sure.

my scales haven’t moved for a couple of weeks - BUT staying positive ..: 19 seconds of my parkrun time and another best age grade. Actual PB is from 2019 so may take a little bit more effort but the age grade is a nice win :)

and another random NSV, didn’t have any clean kit last week for a gym session so borrowed shorts from my 19 year old that fit fine 😂😂

AgnethaF · 02/08/2025 13:34

I think I’ve just done jab 21, and have lost exactly two and a half stone so far. Really pleased.

A few items of clothing are now looking too big, but most stuff still fitting me (16-18).

Well done bikini babes 👙
I have never been comfortable in a bikini. Even when I was a size 10, I still had a tummy, so always wore a swimsuit.

I put my measurements into chat gpt which so far has been really accurate to show me time to target and also that the weight loss needed for an 18 to 16 is much bigger than 16-14. I’ve attached a photo if it helps. I’ve lost 42lbs and it has taken me from a good size 20 to very small 18/large 16. I’m still wearing clothes I wore at the start.

However it is estimating that another 24lbs will take me to a size 12ish.

I’m not sure if I wish all clothes were made according to those sizes so I could know that I was buying things which would actually fit or it’s working on my vanity for shops to completely ignore them and find that I can easily fit into a size 16 (and a 14 in some brands) pair of jeans with 37 inch waist.

However, my body shape is currently frankly ridiculous thanks to a menopause belly and overabundant bosom whilst my bottom, hips, and thighs are disappearing nicely. I can cope with the bust and the bum but I have turned into the person who searches for and watches all the adverts for “melt your stomach fat fast” in the hope that something would actually do this 🥴

However, if I did find the holy grail, I’d then have to spend all my time on my other search for “tighten loose skin” 😀

Weigh in day was yesterday.
Yet again I have maintained at 9st 13lbs and I am getting really fed up.

I am spending £150 a month and have stalled for so long now, I am unsure what to do, please give me all your tips.

All I want to do is lose 1lb a week, or even half a pound.

@Fatmumslim01I think it was Kelly Osbourne ages ago who lost a lot of weight and said that she thought of herself as a former fat person because what she saw of herself in the mirror didn’t compute with what the scales said. If you can’t see the changes yourself, measure yourself once a month and keep a record so you know that things are changing. I did MeThreeSixty scans 10lbs apart and the change was evident.

You might be spending a lot of money this summer but it will allow you to do much more with your children in the future. And I imagine 29lbs off since you started is much more than you would have achieved in the same time on a typical diet? It’s easy to compare to others whose bodies are responding differently and feel upset, but keep going - you can do it 🤗

Chilldrill · 02/08/2025 15:35

@TheSpoonyNavyReader ,I am still losing steadily, at about 1 to 2 pounds per week, BUT my diet is really strict and frankly fucking boring,
It suits my autistic brain to eat the same thing every day, and I think I can manage some version of it when I stop.
It's really low cal and intermittent fasting, so yogurt fruit nuts for brunch, salad, chicken, for tea, then frozen fruit coated in chocolate, protein mousse, and more fruit, nothing after six. That's it.
Currently I don't exercise apart from dog walking, although I'd like t to do some toning,im down to 9.5 now and still losing I've never gone above 5. Plus shit loads of tea, can't stick water it makes me gag. Probably why my skin looks like badly mixed porridge in a bag but hey ho.
Maybe going up a dose will bump it.?

Forget about dieting for a couple of weeks and eat at your TDEE then go back to 500 calories a day less than that. It’s the approach I’ve used all the way through and it seems like a lot of people who’ve gone on holiday have seen results with. You might put on a couple of lbs but they might come off faster afterwards.

Have you tried the 5:2 diet or any intermittent fasting?

Do you exercise a lot? I’ve been reading someone on the 30 Day Shred thread saying how your body holds water weight when you exercise so she does a month in then off and she’s lost 5lbs this time around. It’s a technique body builders use a few days before a show.

I hope something starts to work again for you 🤗

Oh absolutely @Justformounjaro I have never lost this weight before on typical diets as everything I've tried before never worked on my brain before the way MJ does. I'm coming to realise that all my previous failed diets were never my fault and it wasn't that I didn't have enough willpower as I previously thought, it's just whatever is "wrong" the MJ is now fixing!

I'm already noticing the difference like I said up thread like DH has said it's easier to pull me up off the floor and I find I'm joining in with the kids more eg at the park rather than sitting on a bench as I'm so out of breath. And I'm gasping less going up the stairs. So all positive I just can't see it in the mirror

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 02/08/2025 15:40

I am on 10 and have lots of suppression, I am eating salads and really clean food. I am drinking 3 litres of water a day. Just getting no where.

I was hoping to see some movement this week but not a thing.

@TheSpoonyNavyReader do you do intermittent fasting as I find that can give my metabolism a much needed kick up the ass.

Awww I feel for you

in 5 weekly cycle I have 2-3 stalls and 2-3 whosh (which for me is now 2-4 lb)

except the week after TOTM the weeks I loose most is I’m very strict on diet for 5 days (instead of 3-4) drink loads of water and less wine

I also noticed that when I up my movement with walks and steps it also helps

salty and carby food has a big impact so since you maintaining but not loosing review what you eat , portion sizes and movement .

you recently started a new job if I remember correctly that can have an impact . For me stress makes me loose weight but for others it have a negative weight impact (stress can cause water retention too)

also during a longer stall many have said in past that inches are still reducing so also consider measurements

are you on 10mg now or 12.5mg, is it worth going up?

I have slowed right down the last 2.5 months and in the last eight weeks have lost three or four pounds which is half a pound a week. Sometimes it feels like the scale isn’t moving at all. I’m now around 9.9/9.10 which is whet I was 25 years ago and it’s definitely a set weight thing.
the only thing that works for me is exercise and awareness of what I’m eating . I’d slacked off a bit - before I was doing something every day and walking 10,000 steps (swimming weight training c25k Pilates) and I’ve stopped doing as much. I’d also let food creep back in - the odd glass of wine, bread and butter, cheesecake…
I have consciously stayed on 2.5 as I think (and there’s only basic evidence to support it) that long term maintenance will be easier -if I reduce the severity of hunger when I come off the drug by reducing the size of the step down.
the other thing I’ve found has worked (chat gpt advice) is varying intake so breaking up the week with. Few days at maintenance and then going back to a reduced diet. Apparently it foods the body. A sort of 5:2 diet
so: excercise, calories counting. And some time at maintenance eating followed by calorie restriction.
16:8 is good too (stops snacking) and I’m hoping will work post Mounjaro…
I believe that the difference between 10 and 12.5 is not huge and can increase side effects. I think at this stage it’s great to try and build in habits I can maintain rather than rely on the drug as soon I’m going to have to wave goodbye to it and I know the stats are stacked against me and weight regain is a very real possibility.
you can do it! And in with you trying to loose my last theee pounds!

I am very pleased with my loss this week, 1.5lb off, especially as I didn’t eat very healthy! I have been calorie counting alongside a friend who is not on MJ, and I found that this brought back lots of really bad habits for me. When I calorie count, I eat things because I have it left in my calorie allowance, and I eat things that normally I wouldn’t bother with such as chocolate. I was only doing it to be supportive of my friend, but she’s doing fine on her own and I’ve told her that I’m no longer going to count my calories. I’ve lost most of my weight by just making healthy choices and keeping my portion sizes small, which MJ has helped with.

It’s my birthday in a few weeks, I’ve bought myself a treadmill that comes on Tuesday and I have an exercise bike and I’ve signed up to an online exercise app, and I’m going to focus on losing that 2 1/2 pound so that the scales will say 14 for my birthday instead of 15. I couldn’t think of a better birthday present.

I still have a very long way to go, but I’ve almost lost 30 lb and I think that by Christmas I might have lost another 30. Which will be incredible. But more importantly, I feel so much healthier and I’m getting back into exercise, so getting fitter as well

Sorry to hear that some of you are a bit stuck, perhaps you are at a set point with your weight, and you need to give yourself more time to lose those last few pounds. I see this as a marathon and not a sprint, I’m making changes for life.

Back from a 2 week holiday and despite not really paying attention to food I've lost another 2lb - was in the States so portion size and sugar were the big issues (why is everything so sweet!?)

So... majority of the holiday weight gain/bloating/inflammation gone. I can't say I have been the most strong-willed this week either - I restarted at 2.5mg and there wasn't time to meal plan for the post-holiday food delivery so it's been a bit thrown togethe.

Moved up to 3.75mg this week. I only want to get down to something between 10st and 10st 7lb (I don't think heading into the 9s would work for my relatively athletic/muscular frame). So, now I'm back from holiday, this is the last push.

Having some time off MJ whilst I was away was nice - it was good to lose the low-level nausea, weird blood sugar drop dizziness, and general 'don't fancy any of it' feeling I have about food with MJ. It was also nice to not have to worry about balancing the extremes of bowel movements depending upon what I ate! I don't want to pile all the weight back on, but it has made me look forward to feeling a bit more 'normal' (albeit more mindful) about food and drink again when the MJ journey comes to an end.

SharpOpalNewt · 03/08/2025 17:41

Well done everyone. The 12.5mg dose seems to have kicked my butt and I've lost 5lbs in the last three weeks after shilly shallying about at 11st 9lbs then went back up to 11st 11lbs on 10mg. One more of those then onto 15mg for the final huzzah. I might try to lose a further half a stone depending on how I feel when I get to goal.

SW: 13st 4lbs
CW: 11st 6lbs
GW: 11st 0lbs

SharpOpalNewt · 03/08/2025 17:46

Eating variable calories has helped this week. I averaged just under 1500 a day but ate 900 one day, 2000 on another, and up and down in between. And I'm being more gentle and forgiving with my workouts as it can just make me too hungry and gain weight if I overdo it, plus one week I was starting to get shin pain and feared shin splints.

GameOfJones · 04/08/2025 07:33

End of Week 22 weigh in (I think) and I'm delighted to have lost another 3lbs! Just finished TOTM though so suspect that has something to do with it but I am so close to the 3st loss since the start of March and my BMI is now 25.2.

SW: 14st

CW: 11st 1lb

GW: 10st 7lbs

For maintenance like some PPs I'll be keeping up with intermittent fasting and eating in a 6-8 hour window. It works well for me and something I've done for over a year now, it was good for maintenance/losing very slowly last year as it's how I got from over 15st to 14st when I started Mounjaro. It was just very slow loss but hopefully works as a maintenance strategy.

I'm a marketer's dream though and have just started the Zoe Daily 30 supplement. It's basically a scoop of 30 different ground up seeds, nuts, dried vegetables, herbs, mushroom powder etc and you add one scoop a day to your meals. It's expensive but nowhere near Mounjaro expensive so I'm figuring it's a good way to get extra fibre and an easy way of eating more plants. I've mainly got it because with 16-8 I usually only eat two meals a day so getting enough fruit and veg can be more difficult. So far so good so we shall see how it goes.

Im trying not to be disappointed this week as I have only lost 0.5lbs but I am.
I have booked my first ever PT session as I think its time I added some exercise as I feel im heading for a stall.
When I have tried to lose weight before as soon as I stall thats it. So Im trying to focus on nsv. Yesterday I brought a size 20 in my jeans which is 4 dress sizes smaller than I was wearing in March so im trying to focus on that this week & not be hard on myself.

59lbs gone forever.

@Fatmumslim01re the money, it is a lot and I get that. Im a single mum (although he's 17 and pretty independent) so mine is the only money coming in. However I decided I was going to do this until I got to goal. It's an investment in me and one I won't need to repeat.

I've lost 24lbs so far and have another 14 or so to go. Had a gain this weekend thanks to too much bread. As much as I preach that carbs aren't the devil, they seem to be the direct cause of weight gain for me. So back to my protein and salad this week.

I bought q pair of sz12 jeans on Friday as my 14s were baggy round the bum. Mine has disappeared too. I have never in my life worn a sz12 on the bottom half so I did a little jig in the changing room.

Went to the gym yesterday and did a really good leg workout. Can't get on and off the loo today but no pain no gain.

Happy Monday everybody 😊 looks like I’m in a stall - going a little up & down but I’m roughly at the same place as a month ago. Not too worried about it - there was a holiday and an extended cold/sinusitis situation this month, I decided to do a “refeeding” week of sorts now to fuel my body so I can battle the dreaded cold.

Not too far off goal now so I’m taking it slowly and learning what food behaviours trigger a movement on the scales. I’ve also been feeling really fatigued, worst on days 1-3 post jab, so today I’ve injected a bit less (down from 0.7mg to 0.65mg Wegovy). Let’s see how that goes hunger-wise and energy-wise.

Virtual hug to all who are currently in a stall!
