Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

@northernlight20 yeah probably water retention, would be impossible to gain that in actual weight however much fun!

good luck this week :)

morning everyone, got home from our family all inclusive holiday yesterday. Took my pen with me, couldn’t eat or drink half as much as I normally would. Got on the scales this morning and it’s a 5.7lb gain! Could have been worse I guess, so, back on the grind from today.
sw 114.4kg, went oh holiday 95.8kg and currently 98.4kg

Edited

I think @northernlight20 you need to remember this is a marathon not a sprint and even people at a healthy weight will probably gain weight when on holiday as you naturally eat more. Also imagine if you hadn't of started MJ you would weigh even more so you are winning really!

I went up to 5.83mg yesterday but I was hoping for 6.25 but got the maths wrong. Felt slightly nauseous yesterday which happened last time I went up a slight bit. Today I've got the period from hell. Since starting MJ my periods have gotten lighter (I usually have awful periods, have prescription painkillers and usually have to take a day off work if day 1 is a work day) but since MJ they have been alot lighter until today! Not sure if its something to do with a higher jab or just coincidence but either way it's rubbish. DH has taken our younger ones out for an hour and I'm off for a nap!

lilymty · 20/07/2025 15:48

Weigh in day today & i have hit 56 pounds so 4 stone. Also had a NSV of my legs not rubbing together as much when wearing a dress today. 🙈.

RuthEvershedforPM · 20/07/2025 16:07

Wowsers - congratulations @lilymty

Lollzi86 · 20/07/2025 16:09

3.5 pounds off this week, bit of a woosh week. Holiday AI is two weeks today, desperately want to be under 15 stone by then and into the 14s this means I need to lose 3.6 pounds over the next 2 weeks….will do my best but barely any steps today or yesterday due to belting it down rain sigh x

Fuelledbylatte · 20/07/2025 17:30

Back from 2 week holiday
Drank a glass or two of wine/beer most days
Ate out with some SC
Had ice creams / couple of shared dessert
2lb down on scales- phew- thought it would be a gain !

GameOfJones · 21/07/2025 07:20

Early weigh in this week as I'm going away for a few days but I'm delighted as had a mini whoosh and after my 1lb gain last week I've lost 2.5lbs.

My BMI is now 25.9 and seeing that 25 number feels like such a milestone. It was 34.3 last year. My weight loss app tells me I've made 81% of my progress towards goal too.

Weight 2024: 15st 1lb

SW on MJ in March 2025: 14st

CW: 11st 5lbs

Lots of people are now starting to notice and comment on my weight loss which is lovely in one way but feeling difficult in another because I'm not telling them I'm on MJ. Only DH and a few of my best friends know. I don't want to lie so am saying that I'm eating less, not cutting anything out but reducing portions which is all true but I think I had the conversation 4 times over the weekend. I'm unsure why really but I started to feel uncomfortable about it when I haven't before. How are others navigating other people's comments and questions?

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 21/07/2025 07:41

Good morning all

I am away this weekend we go home today, I went away with the girls for a break. I have exercised and walked about 19k steps each day so I am a hoping that I get a woosh this week.
I have ate mindfully all weekend other people have been cooking and on Saturday night someone made a Honey and Garlic stir fry and afterwards I felt horrendous and needed to go to bed, I felt dizzy and tired so tired to the point of exhaustion it turns out that they put in a shed load of sugar and I believe it was my body dealing with the sugar I woke up Yesterday with the 💩.

@GameOfJones well done you and same here with the 25 bmi thing, who’d have thought. And it is weird now that people are noticing, some people I will tell, some I won’t bother. What is 100% true is that I’m eating completely differently, have cut out most sugar & UPFs and all alcohol, and I’m doing weights x 3 a week and swimming 4-5k a week.

@TheSpoonyNavyReader look at you, sugar intolerant now, high five 🙌

Justformounjaro · 21/07/2025 10:43

Pre Start Weight: 15st 6.5lbs
Start Weight MJ: 15st 0lbs
Goal Weight: Still undecided

Current Weight: 13st 2.3lbs
Loss on MJ: 1st 11.7lbs (25.7lbs)
Total loss: 2st 4.1lbs (32.1lbs)

Amazingly, in spite of going out to eat (and drink) 3 times this week, and having wine/peanuts at home as normal, I’ve lost 2.4lbs this week. I’m pretty sure it has been helped by it being cooler but I’ll take it as a win 😊

FrozenFractal · 21/07/2025 13:47

I’ve had no loss for two weeks and suddenly dropped 3.6lb since Friday. I know a lot of it is hormonal, I can see a pattern now of retaining a lot of fluid mid-cycle. The best thing is that there are numbers appearing on the scales that I have not seen for a very long time! I’ve now entered Onederland as I’m finally under 200lb, and in kilograms there’s an 8 in the front!!

SW 231 lb
CW 197.8 lb

museumum · 21/07/2025 16:54

Hi, I'm back from two weeks on holiday. I didn't take the pen as no fridge and v hot temperatures likely so I have missed one dose. I jabbed the day we went and the day we got back (yesterday). I weighed in showing a 1kg gain but that could be travel water weight. I'm pleased with that. I ate and drank what I wanted (which was a lot less than before MJ) and also did lots of exercise - cycling, hiking and swimming.
By coincidence, the holiday has coincided with a bit of a 'set point' in my weight where I ended up after the covid lockdown stress. I am hoping that this week I can resume my downward journey towards my 2019 weight. Currently hoping to reach target mid October which would be eight months after starting. I am quite jealous of those of you losing so much faster but what's a few more months eh? If I hadn't started MJ i'd likely be heavier now than I was in early March, not ten kilos lighter.

Bipaloss · 21/07/2025 19:04

Just have to share my NSV that just happened! I just cut my toe nails comfortably over the loo for the first time since 2019 🤣

an odd NSV but the struggle with my oversize belly and cutting toe nails in odd angles using chairs is now history 😂

Chilldrill · 21/07/2025 19:31

Well done @Bipaloss 😂 I can do mine too, also doing up shoes, is now a simple task, doesn't require a military precision operation involving the 'special' stair step, specifically positioned, a ten minute breather between shoes, and several f*@#s, tw#@ts and a random blaming of the dog for my fat gut, he is grateful 🐶bloody brilliant NSV.

100% it’s liberating and once I reach goal daily things like tying shoes, cutting toe nails and shaving legs NSV’s will deffo be a motivation to keep the weight off .

when it’s so much easier to move now I can’t even imagine how it will be when I reach my goal in 3st time

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 21/07/2025 19:52

@Ingangoolie sugar intolerance made me laugh but they put so much in I felt awful. It was a bone crushing tiredness and dizzy so it must have been an insulin spike. I have really been limiting what sugars I am eating and now avoid UPF if I can help it.

@Bipaloss an amazing NSV I love hearing all the successes.

I was in a place where there is lots of swimming and spas this weekend I am sure you can work it out! I was in the swimming pool and I could feel that I need to tone up, I do not look bad and have no saggy skin but I could feel that my muscles were not as defined as before. I actually enjoyed swimming this weekend. I was with some friends that are between 15-20 years younger and did not feel embarrassed for the first time in years.

I am amazed at some of the weight loss stories on here. I am a plodder, 1 lb a week loss pretty much like clockwork.
Sw 14 stone 4lbs
Cw 12 stone 12 pounds
Gw not sure, maybe about 10 stone 10.
I am just starting on my 4th 5mg, I was hungry today for the first time in ages, properly hungry, and I seem to be (sorry tmi) pooping more frequently, so i think maybe I am ready to move up to 7.5.

needtolose70lb · 22/07/2025 12:06

Morning all! So I had too much white wine last night and it has reminded me why white wine and I don't mix, especially on MJ. Oops.

Anyway, I seem to have dropped more over the week so I have now definitely broken the 4 st barrier which I am absolutely thrilled about. This is week 21 that I am in the middle of right now and I can't believe how long I have been doing this now. By 'this' i mean actually losing weight and happilly settling in to a better way of eating and being. It just makes me happy.

I am definitely getting comments now and i am starting to embrace them rather than be embarrased or nervous about them.

I have been trying to work out why i always felt the latter and i think its a combination of being embarrassed about having clearly been so big beforehand and thta people had noticed (of course they bloody would but anyway) and also fear that this was a temp fix only and i would inevitably put it all back on and then the wuold pity me and be disgusted by me.

Lots of mental shifts happening on this jab and i think that's going to be the most valuable of all.

Also a reminder about discount codes. If anyone is on juniper then you will need to have a new check in with your prescriber once you hit pen 8 or 10 dependning on your plan. When you do that, they actually suspend your current plan which means that when the check in is done and you are approved for a new plan then you can use a discount again for your new order.

I just did that with a referral code from a friend and it worked.

You can use their new summer code for a straight £64 off that first order or you can use one of the personal referral codes for £125 off in total over the next few pens. I will go and add the summer code i found and my referal link to the juniper codes in a sec in case it helps anyone.

SW 17s4
CW 13.08 (but some of that will be white wine dehydration)
TW was 12s4 but want to see 11s

@Deadringer you sound very similar to me my starting weight in march was 14-7 and I'm now 12-9. I typically lose a pound a week, occasionally 2, and I've also had 2 x 2 weeks stalls where I've lost nothing for 2 weeks and then lost 3 pounds the next week.

yikesanotherbooboo · 22/07/2025 14:10

SW 84kg
CW 67 kg
i am still overweight but have been a bit off colour so am not sure how long to persevere for at the moment.

Hi @museumum, I am currently on holiday and have missed 1 jab, will jab as soon as I arrive home on sunday, did you do the same dose as you did before you left or a smaller one? I'm unsure what to do 😊

museumum · 22/07/2025 14:46

@Paulahoust I'm only on 5mg and have been for two months so I just went for the full 5mg after my week off. I have felt a LOT of appetite suppression and some sluggish digestion and general tiredness (maybe due to not eating enough) but nothing terrible in terms of side effects.

Sulphur burps - help please! Has anyone any tips to get rid of them. I went down from 5mg to 3.75mg on Friday and have had sulphur burps since. The smell is making me heave.

Chilldrill · 22/07/2025 19:02
