Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

Thread 6 blows my mind

@Justformounjaro that’s a striking difference - well done! I wish I had done the app - was just too ashamed at my start weight! You can definitely see the impact of your hard work. Legs and arms look great. 💪🏼💪🏼

thanks all for indulging my fishing! It is an extraordinary feeling to be happy with my appearance. I REALLY wish I could have enjoyed my figure in the 90s, but the second best time is now!

@TheSpoonyNavyReader I think we have similar stats but I have to work in kg, less emotive- my mother used to stand over the scales and tut if I was over 8stone. Brutal. You’ve done brilliantly ❤️

@TheBossOfMe thanks again for posting about the maintenance- it’s really inspiring.

Have a good weekend everyone, last day of term here and although I am working over the summer it does feel like ‘a nice thing’

I read your message and thought about KGs as I also used to put them in my stats.

I started at 84kg and now weight 63kg I would struggle to pick up 21kg and walk around with it all day but that what I was doing to my body 😫

I have lost the equivalent of a professional drum kit or about 10 house bricks apparently they about 2kg each. What was I doing to my body and health before blows my mind.

Oh my goodness the penny is finally dropping. I have suffered with diarrhoea constantly since starting MJ. I haven’t drunk wine all week and no diarrhoea. Had ONE glass of wine last night and guess what. I think it has been the wine all along

TheBossOfMe · 18/07/2025 12:18

@JustformounjaroThat is an amazing transformation. I wish I’d done that as well.

Forgot to jab yesterday ! Will have to do it when I’m back at home this evening - I think this will be my last week on 5mg though, I’ll titrate down again next week. Getting more used to feeling real hunger again (as in proper tummy rumbling hunger) but it’s not bothering me at all and I’m just focusing on eating really balanced meals and decent portion sizes. And drinking more when hungry rather than immediately thinking I need food now.

Still need to do more exercise but that’s been hard for me to find time recently.

AgnethaF · 18/07/2025 13:09

It’s wk 20 weigh in for me (I think)… my jab day changed at the end of 5mg so I am losing track now!

SW 14.11
CW 12.6
loss so far 2st 5lb

Still nobody except DH has noticed any difference. Happy with that as I don’t really want to explain myself, really.

I’m finding suppression on 7.5 quite effective. Just not hungry and naturally just eating smaller portions. We have always eaten pretty well, most things cooked from scratch etc. but my portions were massive compared to what I can manage now.

My goal was to fit into a size 14 jeans comfortably.

Justformounjaro · 18/07/2025 16:49

I’m not sure if you have far to go @RuthEvershedforPM and I know you’re at target @TheBossOfMe but there will be other people on the thread who could still benefit. I don’t feel like I’ve changed much in the last 10lbs but clearly I have and that could help motivate someone 😊

I’m not sure how many bricks I’ve lost @TheSpoonyNavyReaderbut, when I’m exercising, I’m only lifting 1/2 the weight I’ve lost at most and that’s hard work!

Yep we are very similar! I started 82.6. And now 62.8 :) and likewise … when I am at the gym and struggle with weights I think oh my goodness was just carrying this! Yesterday I was struggling with 3kg dumbells towards the end of a session and yet was 20kg heavier a few months ago 😬

TheBossOfMe · 18/07/2025 19:40

@Justformounjaro Actually you might be right that it could be helpful. My journey is switching into a stage where I need to tone up loads. So maybe that could still be a useful way to visualise the change. Good point!

2025mj · 18/07/2025 20:05

I have been away on holiday, I was determined to enjoy myself and not worry about food
Pleasantly surprised to weigh myself and realise I've lost a further 2kg!
Only steps I done was about 16 thousand chasing after the kids, managed one run on the beach as I didn't want to be excersizing every day I was away

SW: 93 kg
CW: 71 kg

Hope everyone has a good weekend x

TheBossOfMe · 18/07/2025 20:14

That’s brilliant @2025mj- amazing that you enjoyed yourself but still lost. I think that’s brain rewiring evidence!

Aboutmeabouttime · 19/07/2025 09:13

Morning all! 2lbs off for me - first loss in July so very happy to see scales shift! MFP tells me I’ve achieved 78% of my goal which is nice 🤣
DD2’s birthday weekend here, so there is a cake (a Tardis cake which I made with a bottle of non-alcohol cider last night in 26 degree heat!) and pizza but I’ll be sensible as it’s two weeks to my holiday and I’d love to see a 10st something before we go…

I’ve been avoiding the gym for a bit but back to it this week. Should be easier as it’s going to be cooler hopefully.

Spondoolie · 19/07/2025 14:49

Gaaaaaah. Finding it so weird not to have scales to hand. Also annoyed that i feel that way!

Fatmumslim01 · 19/07/2025 15:06

I upped my dose yesterday to what I thought was 6.25 in preparation for going up to 7.5mg but i got my maths wrong and turns out it was only 5.83. feeling slightly nauseous though which I did last time I increased my dose so hopefully that means it's working!

So close to the 2 stone off mark, currently at 26 pound down!

Chilldrill · 19/07/2025 15:10

@Aboutmeabouttime happy birthday to your daughter, well done on cake making, it's so bloody humid, just moving breaks me out in a sweat!
Well I'm 9.9 as of this morning, didn't lose on holiday, but I didn't stick to my normal eating, which is 16: 8 fasting, I added in breakfast, only yogurt mind but obviously everything makes a difference. I didn't eat bad, still no carbs and no alcohol, I also delayed my jab, cos I couldn't take it with me, which I was worried about, but I was OK.
It'll be 3 stone in a pound or two, seems mad, well done everyone for getting this far, to the ones who are at target, and the ones who still have a bit to go 🏆we're all champs.
I'm getting the 'don't go too far you're looking gaunt' comments now tho, aye,ive got a mirror thanks Janice, I look perfectly fine, just not the fatty friend you felt superior too now eh 😂

TheBossOfMe · 19/07/2025 20:33

@Chilldrill”Aye, I’ve got a mirror, thanks Janice” has to be the quote of this thread 😂

Thirded!

Maybe the next thread title can be something like march starters thread 7, looking in the mirror (Janice)

Ingangoolie · 20/07/2025 08:28

@TheBossOfMe fourthed, thanks Janice

Ingangoolie · 20/07/2025 08:31

CW 10st 9lb
GW 9st 7lb
Another 2lb loss and on we go.

northernlight20 · 20/07/2025 08:53

morning everyone, got home from our family all inclusive holiday yesterday. Took my pen with me, couldn’t eat or drink half as much as I normally would. Got on the scales this morning and it’s a 5.7lb gain! Could have been worse I guess, so, back on the grind from today.
sw 114.4kg, went oh holiday 95.8kg and currently 98.4kg

GameOfJones · 20/07/2025 09:06

@northernlight20 it'll come off quickly. I usually find after a holiday a lot of the gain is salt and water retention so just get back on track and it'll come down.

Bipaloss · 20/07/2025 09:58

Weigh in w18 completed (on 10 mg)

SW 115 kg. /18.1 st
CW 97.3 kg / 15.3 st
GW 75 kg/ 12 st

loss this week 1.2 kg / 2.6 lb (after a 0 loss last week)

total loss 17.7 kg / 39lb (16% body weight lost and 47% of goal reached)

second mini goal reached on time (adjusted from 95kg to 97 kg when 1st mini goal was missed by 2kg) 🥳

Next mini goal is 93 kg by 22nd August (holiday)

Edited

It will come off quickly a fast gain is water retention

salty food, weather, activities and travel

I’m sure it will be off again within the week , make sure you drink plenty of water

TheBossOfMe · 20/07/2025 10:47

@northernlight20 Somebody said on one of the earlier threads that they goal is to be slimmer, healthier and happy - so enjoying yourself on holiday is a good thing. You just need to get back on track and it'll come off quickly.

Past few days have been a bit hectic, and having teenagers in residence for the holidays means there's been a lot of "treat" food in evidence, but I'm tried to be mindful and not gorge, just had small amounts of nice things. Still being very focused on portion size and plate composition, adding calories back slowly. Definitely feeling more hunger and less fullness, but the need to immediately deal with the hunger, or to want to feel really full seems to have gone for now.

All of which means I'm still holding nicely below goal, over 5 weeks after hitting goal weight. 1.4lb below right now.

Went 9 days between jabs this week for various reasons, and this will be my last week on 5mg, will reduce down next week, probably right back down to 2.5mg. I think I'm starting to get quite keen to see whether I can manage on either a very low dose of MJ or even no MJ at all.

I think I’m at the same place as you - it’s nerve wracking trying to work out how to titrate down and not regain!
I am also going to try 9/10 days between jabs this week too.

Hope things are going okay with your friend and the teens.
