Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

@JustformounjaroNothinf wrong with a boiled egg! It’s one of the foods from heaven as far as I’m concerned

Should have been weigh day today but I ended up house sitting for the friend whose teenagers I’m looking after. She got sectioned at the end of last week so it’s all been a bit rubbish and I have no clue what the scales will look like tomorrow. My focus hasn’t been on food or exercise - but somehow I also haven’t comfort eaten as much as in previous life crisis moments. i know I keep saying this and we’ll see if this is true. MJ is allowing me to rewire my brain.

TheBossOfMe · 08/07/2025 00:34

Wish it would fix my friend though. I miss her. It’s all a bit miserable and whilst I’m not comfort eating I’m not sleeping very well and look very tired. And don’t think I can manage the juggle for that much longer without falling over. There are moments when I think I’d rather be where I was a few months ago and be fatter but having more happy days than I am now. I know that’s not logical because the two things aren’t connected.

Pity party over :)

Paulahoust · 08/07/2025 00:51

OMG I have started getting the most painful trapped wind all of a sudden! What do you all recommend that works fast? 2 days in a row now 😭

Justformounjaro · 08/07/2025 01:01

@TheBossOfMe I’m really sorry to hear what you, your friend, and the children are going through right now. It sounds overwhelming and you’ve done well to avoid going back to your default habits. Mounjaro has such an array of benefits 🏆

RuthEvershedforPM · 08/07/2025 05:04

@TheBossOfMe it sounds like what you are doing is extraordinary. And I am not surprised you miss your friend - sounds like you are giving so much and running on fumes.

I’m so sorry that you and the kids are going through this, I hope she’s getting all the help she needs. I guess all I can say is be proud of all the health changes you’ve made so you’re able to be there for them. And come and talk to us, we will listen.

Paulahoust · 08/07/2025 07:13

Thank you so much I found some in my cupboard and they worked in about 5 minutes thank you the pain was awful x

Amjam2025 · 08/07/2025 09:33

@TheBossOfMe Thinking of you at this tough time, just remember, time is a great healer and whilst you wont 'get over' this, you WILL get through it and things will seem brighter soon. You sound like a truly amazing person and you are supporting lots of other people in your life at the moment. Try and take time to look after yourself too. Sleep (or lack of it) makes huge a huge difference to mood/emotions etc so if you can try and improve the amount of sleep you are getting, it should help you feel just a little bit better. Remember, your MJ friends are all here for you if you need us :)

Well done everyone for your amazing losses, STS, even gains, we're all still here which is fab!

SW - 10st 10lb
CW - 8 st 11lb
GW - mini goal of 8 st 10lb so that's a 2 stone loss then get to 8st 7lb

1 lb loss this week, still slow and steady but that's OK. Still split dosing, had some good days and some hungry days. Had some side effects at the back end of last week but they seem to be disappearing now thank god. Trying to reduce calories intake to below 1200 where I can to bring it line with my TDEE - which has reduced now I weigh less - but its really hard so i just roll with each day and see how I get on. WHen I'm having a 'good suppression day' I aim to eat less but when I feel more hungry I go up 1200 or even a bit more.

Keep going everyone :)

TheBossOfMe · 08/07/2025 09:35

Feeling more positive after a night in my own bed and some decent sleep. And stepped on the scales this morning to find out that I’m still holding 0.3lb below goal. That’s a bloody miracle all things considered - as I said, my default coping mechanism in previous moments when “life happens” has been comfort eating and I’d easily have gained a lot in a week like last week. Whilst I was less mindful about thinking about calories and macros, wasn’t logging food on MFP and did absolutely no exercise, I didn’t feel the urge to stuff my face with sugary carby rubbish. That is a huge change for me.

GameOfJones · 08/07/2025 12:52

Glad you're feeling more positive @TheBossOfMe.

Weigh in for me today and I've lost 2lbs this week so officially 2.5st down since I started Mounjaro on March 7th.

SW: 14st

CW: 11st 7lbs

My initial goal was 11st but I think I'm going to aim for 10st 7lbs to give myself a bit of wiggle room. I'd like to get to a healthy BMI (currently 26.2 which still amazes me because it was almost 35 last year!)

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 08/07/2025 13:03

NSV - the unusual sensation of having space between my clothes and my skin!

LilyLondon · 08/07/2025 13:04

@Illbefinejustbloodyfine riiiight? Such an unreal feeling (I need a new belt… never in my life have I needed to get a SMALLER belt!!)

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 08/07/2025 13:28

It's MENTAL! Also, bras are now on the tightest setting!

Ingangoolie · 08/07/2025 13:31

@TheBossOfMe glad you got good sleep. Sounds like a lot you’re managing right now.

@Paulahoust kombucha and dates are really helping me, sorted out heartburn and digestion throughput and they’re actually now tasting delicious.

Good news, like hearing about NSVs and losses.

Ingangoolie · 08/07/2025 13:33

@Illbefinejustbloodyfine @LilyLondon I hear you, my watch strap now 5 holes smaller. Don’t understand how my wrists were that much bigger.

TheBossOfMe · 08/07/2025 14:05

@Ingangoolie @Illbefinejustbloodyfine @LilyLondon Watch strap too big, belts needed here as well, and rings that I've bought over the last couple of years need resizing!

SharpOpalNewt · 08/07/2025 15:33

Sorry, just posted on thread 5 by mistake.

I'm still hovering about 3/4lbs above being actual Healthy Weight - feel like getting a t-shirt "BMI 24.9" printed ready after 16+ years of trying. But feel great at BMI 25.6. It's coming off more slowly but after having two close relative bereavements and a holiday since Easter I'm just glad the scales are still moving downwards. Still on 10mg, about to go up to 12.5mg soon.

SW: 13st 4lbs
CW: 11st 9lbs
GW: 11st

Definitely in Medium not Large clothes now, size 10-12. I bough a Medium belt though in M&S a couple of months ago and it now needs new holes. Should have gone for small!

mumofmanydaughterofone · 08/07/2025 16:16

Had a blood screening test today and....
No longer pre-diabetic
Blood pressure normal
Cholesterol dropped from 6 to 4.5
Woo hoo - proper health NSVs - will do a little dance to celebrate (no longer rewarding with food haha)

TheBossOfMe · 08/07/2025 17:53

@SharpOpalNewt How fab to need a small belt!

@mumofmanydaughterofone Those are amazing health NSVs, really well done!

northernlight20 · 09/07/2025 08:21

Morning all, weigh and jab day. My mini goal before our family holiday in a few days was 95kg and this morning weighed in at 95.8kg.
sw 114.4
cw 95.8
next mini goal is 90kg

tryingtobesogood · 09/07/2025 09:54

SW: 17st 4lbs
CW: 15st 7lbs
GW: 11st

creeping down, nearly at 2st loss and clothes feel so much better. I’m tracking my calories in nutracheck, which I hate doing but it does help. Ho hum!!

Puddingpiper · 09/07/2025 17:44

@mumofmanydaughterofonestaying the same after a festival weekend is impressive!

regarding needles and syringes I get mine from UK medi and get the insulin needles and syringes to be honest they are easier than the pen just have to be patient withdrawing the liquid from the pen.

@TheBossOfMeyou have so much on and keeping on with the weight loss is amazing. If you can keep it up going through what you are at the moment then it bodes well for the coming years.

Not sure if it is a NSV or not but new bras were essential I have gone down a back size and a bit and a cup size. I forgot how expensive bras are! I should have another back size to drop so have two plus a sports bra.

As a treat to myself I had Botox for the first time today I’ve been trying to summon the courage for ages I’ve had my resting bitch face (downturned mouth) done and frown lines. I was really pleasantly surprised that it didn’t hurt and the people were lovely. Operation not looking like a scruffy slob is progressing.

weight wise I’m at 14stone 8 I have not been this low for well over a decade. What is very weird is that last time I was this weight I was 2 dress sizes smaller as I was a lot fitter. I now have just under 2 stone left to lose. Chat GPT tells me October half term I should be at 12.5 stone and a size 12 (I’m tall).

RuthEvershedforPM · 09/07/2025 20:49

I managed to post on thread 5 this morning 🙄.

it was a nice update - been at a plateau but it’s starting to shift again. Can see the difference now for sure and I think it’s perhaps 10 years since I last weighed this …

sw 82.6
cw 63.5
gw 54

nice to see progress :)

RuthEvershedforPM · 09/07/2025 20:51

Exciting on the Botox @Puddingpiper - I am interested but wondering if too late … am 45 … and feels like there is a new crevice every day 😂
