Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

Thread 6 blows my mind

Can relate to the crying over food and the boobs

had scampi and chips for lunch today … it wasn’t very nice and it was SO disappointing. Probably 900 calories and it just wasn’t very nice. Would have cried if I was by myself but was with a colleague so just had to seethe quietly. I really feel I had earned a proper pub lunch and it was such a WASTE.

and my formerly excellent boobs are now small and saggy 😂😂😂

I was actually thinking about saving for a boob job but have heard you risk losing sensation… that feels like too high a price to pay tbh

I have had a boob job years ago, no saggy boobs here just smaller.

I have had no change in sensation.

Depending on what is needed you may need a lift as well, but whatever you do please make sure you have been at a stable weight for a year.

RuthEvershedforPM · 30/06/2025 05:38

Yes I think the lift is the main thing - I am 45. Stable weight is a good shout - no rush then!

2025mj · 30/06/2025 06:19

Good morning
Sorry I haven't caught up but yes I agree my boobs are shrinking!! I'm devastated 😂 I never got boobs during puberty and it was only through gaining weight I'd become a dd
Now my dd bras are gaping at the top but the closest boux avenue is 4 hours away 🥲
But as of this morning I have officially lost 20kg
SW: 93 kg
CW: 73 kg
GW: ? Not sure yet

Flamethrowers · 30/06/2025 08:30

Hello all, haven't caught up though I also identify with boob dramas

end of week 17 and stalled still at 9.13 - I am not shifting down Still on 2.5 - won't go up because of low blood pressure which is already making my head swim (this is Mounjaro induced)

Appetite returning . Can drink alcohol again (two glasss of wine this week) and chocolate cake and even eat some fried food (did not go down well....)

only have six pounds to go but feels a pretty hard ask i at the moment - as in pre Mounjaro hard. Not eating feels like missing out when previously it was absolutely fine and I could let my better self win.

The trick I think is exercise. I'm not going crazy but managed two, km swims 1 and a half hours of strength training and an hour of reformer Pilates last week plus 8000 steps a day. Without that I think I would have gained...

TheBossOfMe · 30/06/2025 09:04

Morning all. @FlamethrowersI found the last few pounds the hardest by a long way. I think part of it was a mental thing - so close to goal that it felt almost like it didn’t matter if I stopped there.

Weigh day - went away this weekend again, lots of cake, wine and ice cream. But still 0.7lb below goal weight. Tracking up though - which is why I wanted some pounds in the bank. We’ll see.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 30/06/2025 09:46

Morning all. I am far far out of the loop with the chat. Been really struggling these last few weeks. I have an inordinate amount of stress going on and have reverted to wine. Need to stop that.

So my last few weeks have gone like this....

Wk 9 15st 1
Wk 10 14st 12
Wk 11 14st 13
WK 12 14ST 10
WK 13 14ST 11
Wk 14 14st 9
WK 15 14ST 10.5

Which is pitiful really. I know the wine us a huge factor. And with the wine has come snacks. Lack of prep, less than ideal choices. Less sleep.

I'm on 5mg abd have the 5th dose to take today. Haven't ordered my next pen so need to do that. I just feel like 5mg hasn't work AT ALL. Which is so weird as I had immediate suppression from 2.5 and then did weeks of gradual increase to 5mg.

I'll order 7.5 today but am actually really worried about "the end".

Any advice?

I had good suppression on 5mg but didn’t on 6mg (7.5 mg pen split in 5 doses), had good suppression week 1 and 4 on 7.5 mg and moving up to 10 on Wednesday

what I found is that I have most suppression right lower and right mid belly and least top left (only jab in belly) so might be worth looking at injection sight if that has an impact

I’m still 53% away from goal so hoping to stay on 10mg 8-12 weeks

JudgingJudy · 30/06/2025 10:25

I have had a mega weekend exercise wise. Cycled 100+KM, swam ran walked. 8hrs over Saturday and Sunday. I'm UP a lb today. My muscles are sorish so probably water retention, but the "exercise more" brigade- FO!
I need to do a shop today so I'll get some protein yogurts. I need to get on with this. I've only lost 16lbs over 15 weeks!

For the slow losers here, it is still progress. I'm on 5mg pen. A bit nervous to go up to anything higher...

soupforbrains · 30/06/2025 10:41

@Illbefinejustbloodyfineyoure still averaging a 1lb/week loss. Don’t be so hard on yourself.

and same as @JudgingJudya consistent 1lb/ week loss is amazing and a really healthy steady loss!

we’re all doing marvellously. Keep those chins up ladies. (And perhaps tie the Boobs to the chin with string to give them a bit of a lift too)

I mentioned that I hadn’t lost boob size but had lost around my chest/back. I’ve not done any measurements since I started but I am down almost 8 inches around my chest/back (under boob) which has astonished me!

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 30/06/2025 10:47

@soupforbrains I guess so , I was looking more at 1.5lbs since week 10. I lost very quickly to start with so I guess its averaging out. It was very easy for me at the start, and I think this is the tricky slowing down/adjustment phase. Would you stay on 5mg or increase?

@Bipaloss thank you. I always have jabbed left thigh. I somehow feel weird about changing now!

I def need to put more effort in and get past this block.

seasidehunter · 30/06/2025 11:04

W17D1 - my jab day and weigh day are out of sync at the moment to fit around a holiday. So, whilst I did injection 17 on Friday, today is 17 weeks since my first injection and is weigh day...

SW (when ordered MJ) - 12st 12lb (BMI = 29.8)
SW (W1D1) - 12st 8lb
CW - 10st 10.5lb (BMI = 25)

I go on holiday at the end of the week and had hoped to be a bit closer to the mid-10s by now, but weight loss has slowed recently. Has taken me about 6-7 weeks to get this latest half a stone off. The slower loss is probably because I'm only on 5mg. But I've had to stick with a lower dose because I get relatively frequent low BP and lightheadedness - I'm prone to it anyway but I've really noticed it more since MJ and it has meant me needing to stick with a lower dose and keep a close eye on eating little and often.

But, on the positive, I'm nicely back in a size 10 now (I'm adamant I have heavy bones because even when I've been an 8/10 in the past my BMI was always at the very high end of 'healthy'). So, I've bought a few new bits for holiday and I've been able to dig out some of my old summer clothes.

I'm away for 3 weeks. I will inject on the day we leave and then I'm not taking MJ with me. I'm just going to enjoy the holiday, try to be mindful where I can, and then deal with the consequences when I return.... watch this space!

GameOfJones · 30/06/2025 11:59

Weight loss has definitely slowed for me too over the past few weeks and suppression is lower but I'm trying to just ride that out and think long term that I'm going to have to deal with my appetite and find a way to maintain. At least with the heat this week I'm not feeling that hungry! Looks like it's in the low 30s for us for the next couple of days.

A couple of NSVs is that I bought two new dresses, both a close fitting style and in a size 12 and they fit! I am SO happy as I don't think I've been in a size 12 for over 10 years.

Also I bumped into someone that I haven't seen since Christmas over the weekend and she said "wow look at you" and said my weight loss was really noticeable. I told her I was taking Mounjaro and she was interested so we had a good chat about it.

Lolliz87 · 30/06/2025 12:30

No boob dramas over here, well at least no new ones, I’ve always had massive boobs (like HH/J) and weight gain/loss never effects them they just stay massive 😭 which is not as fun as it sounds when buying bras or wearing the new trends (most of time I can’t as they just look ridiculous). Anyway well done on all your losses and to those struggling it will come off, maybe just slowed down but that’s good as perhaps less likely to go back on? Mine has slowed but I’ll live with it, as I’ve still got around 1.5-2 stone to go. Anyway I’ll stop waffling I managed to ‘keep’ some of my mid week loss this weigh in (still up from a low point of 98.9kg) but today weighed in at 99.7kg, so 2 pounds or 1.1kg down from last week. That’ll do, I’ll just keep going

Justformounjaro · 30/06/2025 13:23

Weigh in day for me.

Pre Start Weight: 15st 6.5lbs
Start Weight MJ: 15st 0lbs
Goal Weight: Undecided but under 12 stone to start with

Current Weight: 13st 5.4lbs
Loss on MJ: 1st 8.6lbs (22.6lbs)
Total loss: 2st 1.1lbs (29.1lbs)

Week 1: 3.1lbs (2.5mg)
Week 2: 2.1lbs (2.5mg)
Week 3: 1.5lbs (2.5mg)
Week 4: 1.6lbs (2.5mg)
Week 5: 1.7lbs (2.5mg)
Week 6: 0.5lbs (2.5mg)
Week 7: 2.6lbs (2.5mg)
Week 8: 0.6lbs (2.5mg)
Week 9: On holiday for week - MJ injection and weighing missed
Week 10: 0.6lbs (2.5mg)
Week 11: 4.0lbs (2.5mg)
Week 12: 1.9lbs (2.5 mg)
Week 13: On holiday for a week, weighing missed (2.5mg)
Week 14: Gained 0.5lbs (2.5mg)
Week 15: 1.0lbs (3.3mg)
Week 16: 0.9lbs (2.5mg)
Week 17: 1.0lbs (2.5mg)

Another 1lb off, and not quite sure how I managed it given we were away over the weekend and alcohol, fatty food, ice cream, and cake were all on the menu. However, I was active all week, and my choices before we went away were good so the weekend blow out didn’t have such a bad effect.

I’ve also delayed my injection by another day, partly as DP is going away and routine will go out the window. This has been a time when my snacking has got a bit out of hand (that packet of 6 Magnums in the freezer just calling my name???) however, most temptations like that aren’t in the cupboards any more and I’m currently more likely to reach for a protein yoghurt or kiwi fruit. Wish me luck 🤞

I am sorry about your stress right now. Stopping the wine consumption would benefit the diet but I know it’s not as simple as that. Who does the wine shopping, and would not having it in the house be an option? Could you keep it in the garage or shed, or out of the fridge (assuming white or rose) so that it becomes a conscious choice to prepare to have a glass of wine?

I’ve found the last month slow too with going away and drinking/eating things that are not so good for me. Could you have a go-to healthier snack to go with the wine or change the portion size of what you’re eating? My wine accompaniment has always been peanuts and DP and I would share a large ramekin that holds around 200g (and I’d eat them faster than him) with a bottle of wine. I now use separate small ramekins and measure out 50g for me. Sometimes we have olives instead of peanuts.

I know you’ll know all of these things but sometimes reinforcing just one thing is enough to give you a bit of a bump to try it again. You can do it 🤗

soupforbrains · 30/06/2025 14:41

@Illbefinejustbloodyfinehmmm deciding whether to go up or not is quite personal. How is the supression? Are you getting hungry between meals or feeling snackish even when you know you’re not hungry? If so then I would move up.

GoldenMalicious · 30/06/2025 17:18

Hello all, just checking in. I've completed 14 weeks (all on 2.5mg MJ) and I've lost just over 2 stone now (29.5lbs/13.4kg). That means I'm now over half way to my goal, which I set at 26kg below my starting weight - that felt hugely ambitious but it's starting to feel like I might just get there!

I had the usual big losses on the first pen, and pen 2 was good but I found pen 3 slow going and wondered if I'd made the wrong choice to stick on 2.5mg. However, pen 4 seems to be working out well for me and I've lost 1.4kg/3lbs over the past couple of weeks which I am happy with. As I've been on the same dosage throughout I can confidently say that the fluctuations in progress are just the way things roll! I still find that I feel satisfied much quicker than pre MJ and the desire to reach for the snacks is much reduced (and easier to ignore). I don't have the same obvious suppression that I experienced at the beginning but I am happy to take things steady (for now at least...) so I'm sticking on 2.5mg for pen 5.

Today my weight tipped below 80kg for the first time in at least six or seven years. I'm hoping to lose another 1kg+ before I go on holiday in a couple of weeks and after that I have my eye on reaching 75kg which was the weight that my GP recorded back in 2010. Hopefully I'll reach that mini goal sometime in August.

In a quest to improve my fitness I ordered some dumbbells. They came as a set which weighed 12kg - it's sobering to hold the set and realise I was carrying that much extra weight (and a bit) every day.

GameOfJones · 01/07/2025 09:44

Weigh day today and another 1lb down. Slow and steady at the moment as looking back at my weight tracking app I lost 5lbs in June.

Pre MJ weight: 15st 1lb

Starting MJ weight: 14st

Current weight: 11st 9lbs

My goal is to get to 10st 7lbs, so just over a stone to go. I'm halfway through a 5mg pen and have another one in the fridge ready to go so I need to decide what to do after that. My original plan was to get a 2.5mg to titrate down with a view to then stopping as I can't afford to be on MJ long term but I'm thinking one more 5mg pen and then a 2.5mg may be the way to go. Decisions decisions!

EchoNova · 01/07/2025 10:46

Morning alll - Wow Thread 6 already!!

I'm delighted with my boobs 😆 I had a reduction years ago and then had another baby and then put on the weight so they were bigger than ever. I'm now the same size as when I had my reduction so I'm really happy!

I've been on mounjaro now 15 weeks and I'm down just over 2 and a half stone.

For the first time since I started I'm staying on the same mg for a second month (10mg as I'm feeling good on it an still losing weight) but slower as I'm nearly at my target.

SW: 13st 7lbs
GW: 10st 5lb
CW: 10st 9.5lbs

Starting to think about maintenace now - what are others doing about maintenace?

Yellowsubmarine55 · 01/07/2025 10:59

Checking in, I'm melting in the heat mind you. I am struggling to drink more than the more that I was drinking anyway. There's only so much you can fit in without sloshing around.

It is causing a bit of hard 💩 so that's interesting.

Another 1.8lb down this week though so 9 off in June which I'm happy about 🙂 plodding on
With the 2.5 as I don't think (correct me if I'm wrong) that going up would be any better. It's not going to magically melt my fat although it'd be good if it would.

I don't have food noise as such, I fancied a diet lemonade the other day but it was a fleeting moment as it was my go to on a hot day and stuck with a squash. I'm not particularly hungry or snacking so all is good.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 01/07/2025 12:49

@Justformounjaro thank you. Trouble is, with wine, I dont choose the healthy option...I mentioned on here before that pre MJ my wine consumption was problematic. It's a bit all or nothing. I buy the wine. There's only me (and DC) in the house. Going through a very stressful divorce (pleased to be divorcing but he's being as difficult as possible costing me a fortune). I'd really cut down buts it's crept up again the last few weeks.

I jabbed last night, tge 5th dose from my 5mg pen. I jabbed .7ml so a bit over the 5mg. I will order 7.5 I think to give me options and hope it comes quickly!

Amjam2025 · 01/07/2025 13:21

Hello, not been on for a while so im very behind with the updates!
Split dosing is going well...2.5mg then 1.25mg 4 days later. Hardly any bad SE. Also jabbing in the arm instead of belly which seems to have really improved fullness feeling so thank you to those who suggested it!
Height...5 foot
SW 10st 10lb
CW 8 st 12lb
GW keep changing my mind....I think 8 st 10lb as mini goal then try and settle around 8 and half stone for maintenance.

1lb loss this week, im quite near target so its slowing down but im really happy to still be losing. Got a F2F appt tomorrow at Superdrug with my pharmacist. She's not keen to keep prescribing, but as I have asthma I still fall under their criteria...only issue is that I dont have a paper prescription for my asthma meds as proof like shes asked for... .just got the sticker on the meds box so im going to take that and keep my fingers crossed.

Worn lots of short summer dresses recently and didn't feel hideous so that's always good!

Well done keep going everyone!

Ingangoolie · 01/07/2025 14:01

Well done everyone.

week 15 I think, on 2.5mg still
SW 13st 3lb
CW 11st 1lb
GW 9st 7lb
a maintain this week, unsurprisingly as had a week away and eating out all the time, loads of chips and bread, and lots of cold drinks like real lemonade and coke and iced coffees so much more sugar and UPFs than usual.

Lolliz87 · 01/07/2025 14:05

I have also reordered a 5mg today as actually I calculated I lost 8 pounds last month, and that included 2 weekends away. So still steady at an average 2 pounds a week with minimal side effects so I’ll stick with it for another month.

TheBossOfMe · 01/07/2025 16:50

@EchoNova - I've reached goal (aimed for 2lb below goal before starting maintenance), and have found it a bit hard to get proper advice on maintenance dosage. So have been stalking maintenance boards online, and kind of experimenting now with my own "plan".

I'm allowing myself a +/-2lb either side of goal, if I go beyond that, I'll take immediate action to get within my safe zone.

Daily weighing is a must for me because of that

Shifting more to strength based training and less cardio to rebuild a bit of muscle mass

Adding 100 calories back into my diet on a weekly basis, there is anecdotal evidence that adding back everything in one go can lead to really fast weight gain at the beginning.

Titrating dose down in 4 week increments, so have reduced from 7.5mg to 5mg and will drop down 1mg per 4 weeks until I'm back at 2.5mg

For me that means longer between jabs because I used to do a split dose, so now only have one per week.

Once I'm back down stable at 2.5mg, I'll start extending duration between jabs until I'm at 2.5mg every 14 days.

And will then decide what to do!

Hoping all of this works!
