Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

Thread 6 blows my mind

To buck the trend. My boobs seem to be getting bigger….

i think it’s a relative thing. And I have ALWAYS had breast of the melon/bazooma variety rather than the bralet/backless dress variety. (At 14 I was a size 8 with DDs)

but I’m actively going up cup sizes. I’m losing weight from my chest and across my back but the breasts themselves are staying the same meaning that bikini tops and bras I bought just 2 months ago are now small in the cup and big across the back. I think the boob loss rather depends on the size of your bust pre-weight gain.

TheBossOfMe · 28/06/2025 18:07

@needtolose70lb Bravissimo are good at fitting, IMO. @soupforbrains same here, boobs stayed same size, but back size has shrunk so much.

needtolose70lb · 28/06/2025 16:20

Boobs!! What boobs?? Mine have definitely deflated and it’s actually quite bizarre.

Quite seriously, where would anyone recommend to go for a proper bra fitting experience? I am wearing tatty old bras anyway because I just didn’t feel good in myself. Now I’m proud of the weight loss but the bras are stupidly big AND tatty. Not a good look 😝

Would deffo encourage I have gone down 2 bra sizes and one cup size (I just strapped the bra over my T-shirt and held cup up (while no one was looking 😂)

been wairing my new bra all day in comfort and Back ache is gone (i usually take it off entering the house or straight when I finish work (work mostly from home)

To buck the trend, I'm up 2 lbs a week after finally breaking my months's stall. The main changes to my body are my boobs have collapsed and my hair is falling out more, despite not losing fast. Tummy is an also a bit deflated, but overall very disheartened.

I have hair loss too , was a lot a few weeks ago to the point I got worried. I upped my B vitamin intake and it has helped a lot

after DS I lost quite a lot in a year (around 20 kg although slower pace then now) and my hair was so thin my hairdresser told me not to highlight my hair for a while

I have naturally thin hair and have always lost a bit of just hope it comes back at the end

the weight will come eventually just keep going ☺️

soupforbrains · 28/06/2025 19:20

@needtolose70lbi would highly recommend Boux Avenue.

Ooh never heard of them.

They on most high streets and online. It’s owned by Theo Pathitis who also own other Retailers and is also on dragon dhen

soupforbrains · 29/06/2025 08:58

@needtolose70lb@Bipalosstheyve only got about 30 stores so they’re definitely not on most high streets. I have to drive several towns over personally. But in my opinion they are worth it. The fitters are the best trained, most helpful and least judgemental I’ve ever known. The bras are lovely. Comfortable and beautiful, plus they don’t penalise bigger busts with super ugly straps or altered designs.

lilymty · 29/06/2025 09:56

18 weeks in to the jabs & today I have hit 50lbs loss! Yesterday I put on jeans 3 sizes smaller & felt amazing. I still have such a long way to go (106lbs) but for the first time it feel achievable.

Bipaloss · 29/06/2025 10:08

CW 99.6 kg/ 15.6 st

Sounds perfect. Will have a hunt to find my nearest. Thank you!

needtolose70lb · 29/06/2025 10:42

mini stall over and mini goal achieved!! Now also hit the 50lb+ loss @lilymty
Wow wow wow! Well done to us!
congrats @Bipaloss , getting under 100kg is such a huge milestone.

GiveMeWordGames · 29/06/2025 11:56

Well done @Bipaloss ! For a good loss this week against the odds and getting under 100kg.

Jab today. It should have been yesterday to continue moving my jab day forward in anticipation of mini break and anniversary but on Friday night I had caramelised onions as part of a mini quiche and that was a bad move. 🙄

It's only the second time I've had them since starting and the same thing happened before but that was in the very early days when it wasn't as clear what specifically was causing issues. Immodium and pepto sorted me out but very annoying after so long without SEs. And I thought I'd wait until today to jab.

Anyway, end of (almost) week 14. Still on 5mg.

SW 17st 4
CW 14st 12.5
GW 11-12st

I seem to be steadily losing around 2lbs a week at the moment, which is ok by me.

northernlight20 · 29/06/2025 12:09

@Bipaloss welldone on finally getting under 100kg. welldone everyone else too 😊

Yetanotherusername2000 · 29/06/2025 12:59

I’m finding any appetite difficult atm (have a cracked tooth that is dying, so really struggling with pain as well).

thanks @TryingMJfor your typical diet - it’s helped me think. I can’t face anything today though. The heat isn’t helping either. I know I have to eat something so I don’t get dizzy though!
and today was supposed to be jab day. Think I’ll wait til tomorrow and I don’t want further suppression?

Cleo21 · 29/06/2025 13:23

I’ve been on MJ since mid March, stayed on 2.5 and put up to 5mg as noticed appitite creep back up. Lost 27 lb in total but last couple weeks may hair has started falling out 😥
I know from what I have read this is common with loosing weight quickly but I am panicking, I have not had my jab since 16th June to pause my weight loss in the hope of helping this. I have ordered the 2.5 but waiting like most for the order to be dispatched.

Please can anyone advise if they have had this and anything to make it stop! I have fine curly hair and can’t afford to keep losing it at this rate 😓

TryForSpring · 29/06/2025 13:53

Thanks @poundslost.

Hair loss with WL is temporary, @Cleo21. It's horrible but it will grow back.

See: www.bad.org.uk/pils/telogen-effluvium/

The usual advice is to keep your protein intake high, many people try biotin, and get a ferritin test. Ferritin should be over a minimum of 70 to prevent hair loss, considerably higher than the NHS minimum.

Hi all

Not the best weekend here MJ wise, 3 months in, 23 pound down so it's going great but I'm really missing food and actually cried about it this weekend as silly as that sounds.

We had a really busy day and evening on Fri which we knew was coming up so we had decided in advance we were going to get a takeaway, we've really cut down since MJ and I looked forward to it from about Tues! I've moved my jab day the last few weeks to a Saturday instead of a Friday so I thought id be hungry for the takeaway, I got sweet and sour pork, fried rice and ribs it was going to be a proper treat not counting calories etc.

Well it came and I didn't want it. I cried. DH encouraged me to have a few bits but it just wasn't appealing. I know this is how MJ works with the dopamine pathways etc but I'm really missing food.

I said to DH im not sure if I can carry on with mj but he says look a the positives, my weight loss is excellent im going to be healthy etc.

I don't want the old me back with all the aches and pains, I've said from the start that the benefits not just weight loss are amazing and I will probably be on MJ for life but I'm realising how much I relied on food and it's all a bit of a shock.

Sorry for the whinge but does anyone else feel this way?

Puddingpiper · 29/06/2025 15:20

@Fatmumslim01i feel your pain. I would describe myself as a foodie and love cooking, planning, trying new food and eating out. Along with the food noise that has disappeared.

we had a Chinese a few weeks ago and it didn’t hit the same I would have been as happy with a tin of tomato soup.

Food is my way of showing love - probably not healthy. Makes me realise there is a lot more the maintenance than just losing the weight, the brain is a huge factor and stopping looking at food for emotional support or reward.

That's exactly what it is...food as an emotional support or reward. Well it was anyway! Now it's just fuel. And this is why I'm so overweight probably! DH just sees food as fuel and is a healthy weight whereas I (pre MJ) saw food definitely as a reward or something to look forward to and thats all gone now.

Justformounjaro · 29/06/2025 16:05

Food represents so many things that it is an addiction that can’t be avoided like other addictions. It can’t be cut out completely. You need food to survive.

For me, enjoying good food is a social bonding experience, as well as a crutch for emotional times, or a procrastination support. It’s a big part of my identity, and maybe yours too by the sounds of it. I have found myself filling the gap by becoming quite obsessed about analysing and meeting my nutrition goals rather than thinking about calories. Is there something that you could do more of that would spark your interests and take your mind off the journey to your ideal weight and beyond?

Anyway, just really came on the thread today to share this video. Do you think she’s been on Mounjaro and doesn’t want to buy any new clothes yet? https://www.facebook.com/reel/754713780354261/ 😀

Today I have worn the shorts lol. It’s so hot. I rummaged in my draws and pulled out some shorts, put them on and did them up. and they are comfortable

Amazing.

RuthEvershedforPM · 29/06/2025 19:43

Can relate to the crying over food and the boobs

had scampi and chips for lunch today … it wasn’t very nice and it was SO disappointing. Probably 900 calories and it just wasn’t very nice. Would have cried if I was by myself but was with a colleague so just had to seethe quietly. I really feel I had earned a proper pub lunch and it was such a WASTE.

and my formerly excellent boobs are now small and saggy 😂😂😂

I was actually thinking about saving for a boob job but have heard you risk losing sensation… that feels like too high a price to pay tbh
