@Moneyordreami changed from medexpress to farmeci for my next pen with a discount! If you want one PM me xx

Mounjaronew · 17/05/2025 22:13

3rd injection tomorrow. Lost 8 lbs in first few days. This is 2 weeks later and still lost 8 lbs. That’s grand.
I think the weird thing is the change in my food choices. Tbh my food obsessions. On weekends id want pizza and very sweet doughnuts etc. takeaways.
I don’t want any of that any more. The urge for sweet fatty carb laden Nasty things has gone.
appetite has gone. Gives me more time to do things i enjoy. Today i went to golf driving range, I’m doing that into golf course, and hit 60 balls. I went from there to park to do 5k run and then a lovely sea swim. I was exhausted. I felt like not eating but i did. I roasted a whole chicken in air fryer. Then i steamed an entire cabolo Nero cabbage. I ate small amounts of all of that but tbh i could have not bothered i was not hungry at all.

It is odd as i haven’t lost more weight although my tastes have changed and i don’t eat except for breakfast and dinner when i make myself eat. I am a wee bit constipated i suppose but no other SE.

i have ordered up protein powder to add to breakfast yogurt. I think i need to really up the water intake as well. I think small tweaks will make a massive difference to results.

however, even without serious results i think the change in my diet is giving me massive health benefits. It feels right.

Oh I will! Will be ordering this week ready for next month.

GeraniumRoseblush · 17/05/2025 22:16

@Moneyordream I'm W3D2 and I've just ordered my next pen, and I've changed supplier as the 5mg was about £40 cheaper than my original. I'm waiting for my video consultation early next week. I would happily have stayed with the same supplier if it had been £10-£15 difference but hey ho.

@stripesdotsdashes ooh creatine - is that better than normal protein powder, or in addition to? I do weights 3x a week and am very focused on not wanting to lose muscle mass.

Moneyordream · 18/05/2025 00:08

I'm still up, my stomach is cramping and keep needing toilet so i can't sleep. Took some painkillers so hopefully will be off soon

Mounjaronew · 18/05/2025 00:23

To be honest. I have no idea what to eat any more. I know what to do for breakfast only because i bought some protein Powder in Tesco today. But dinner? I live on my own which is easier. I have a roast chicken in fridge. I don’’t know what to eat as I’m never hungry. But also not losing weight.i think i will just trust the process as I’m not eating the shit that i prevously was.
Night!

Mounjaronew · 18/05/2025 00:23

It will be healthy anyways.

Mounjaronew · 18/05/2025 00:26

I lost a theoretical 8lbs in first week. But nothing since. I am not complaining, i think this will be good.

lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 18/05/2025 08:04

@AlicesMum2025 thanks for the recommendations. I've ordered the powers online and we have an Aldi round the corner, looking up the drink you recommended I see they have a whole protein range so I will investigate those.

DBatteryBand · 18/05/2025 08:10

Weigh in day after week 1 and I’ve lost 9lbs! Mostly water, but still very encouraging! Just gave myself my second jab, so will see what the next week is like. Still not feeling confident in my jabbing technique and had some liquid on my skin after this injection, but hopefully all is well.

@Mounjaronew you need to make sure you eat something, or you’ll end up very poorly. You still need fuel to run your body.

I wouldn't say it's better as such, it's more another tool to keep muscle. If you do some googling on creatine and women you'll see lots of info about the benefits. It's also very cheap and tasteless, I just put a spoon of it in my water bottle at the start of the day. You'll gain a lb or 2 in water retention at first but then should be able to lift weights for more reps, plus help with muscle repair, brain benefits etc.

MsTamborineMan · 17/05/2025 16:15

I've just had my first dose delivered, I was going to start on Monday morning as tend to be all over the place on the weekends!

Bit worried about the side effects after reading this thread but we'll see, if it's awful then I don't have to continue

I'm feeling excited but very nervous! And actually since I made the decision to order a couple of weeks ago I've had no problems sticking to my diet, and have lost 3lbs this week without so now I'm thinking perhaps I don't need it or just need some sort of placebo! I've not even been tempted to snack 😂

I've got around 2-3st to lose. I was a healthy weight for most if my life and a combination of covid, massively stressful job, and depression basically led to weight gain, and whilst I used to have no problem with my weight, I haven't been able to shift this. I'm most looking forward to getting my face back

I am on week 2 day 3 and haven’t had any really problematic side effects. I don’t know if this is just down to luck, but before I started I scoured the MJ threads looking for tips.

So the tips I picked up were: inject on your thighs rather than your stomach as this has been said to minimise side effects; eat protein at every meal and eat regular meals even if you don’t feel like it, and have protein at every meal; take psysillum husk every morning; stay hydrated; eat a decent amount of calories per day - I use MyFitnessPal to track and aim for 1200 cals a day and this will hopefully minimise the weight gain once you stop MJ as you will have been losing slowly and steadily. And also on that note, losing slowly is better as it lessons the chance of gallstones, pancreatitis and ‘mounjaro face’

The side effects I have had are only good - I have strong enough appetite suppression that I don’t snack or over eat but still feel hungry enough to eat at meal time, I have no food noise at all, I don’t think about food and snacking unless it’s meal time; and an unexpected benefit is that I feel much calmer and focussed - I always have had quite scattered thoughts and energy and I think I used food and snacking as kind of an anchor but I am feeling so much more grounded now.

Good luck, and hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend :)

2old4thisshit · 18/05/2025 09:45

w1d6 feeling a lot better, I had food noise last night, but dh and dd were great and got me water and went for a walk instead.
I think I will go for half dose this week, as I really can’t afford time off work, but I’m going to dose later in the week, Thurs or Fri, then hoping side effects will be over the weekend.

Bundleflower · 18/05/2025 10:00

I’ve found you all again! I thought our thread had gone quiet. Hadn’t realised we’d hit the 1000.
I had my second injection this morning thank god. My appetite was back with a vengeance yesterday AND we ate out but I counteracted it by eating very cleanly (prawns and asparagus starters together for my meal) and doing a 4 mile walk.
Hosting today so going to ensure my plate is mainly veg and meat.
Got to try and kick wines arse the week. Life is very busy and stressful at the moment but I’m easily consuming a bottle most evenings. Yikes.

W2D1 - total loss 8 pounds.
13% of my goal achieved.
Week 2 - let’s be having you!

Mounjaronew · 18/05/2025 10:07

@DBatteryBand I have a large amount of Greek yogurt with fresh strawberries for breakfast. Today I will add tablespoon of protein powder. Last night i had roast chicken with entire pack of steamed cavalo nero with a shallot and a tomato through it so I am definitely eating. And eating much healthier than before. I am struggling a bit with ideas for dinner. I think it’s important to enjoy everything i eat even though i have zero appetite.

SussexLass87 · 18/05/2025 10:30

Checking in - Week 3 / Day 2.
Lost another 2lbs so total loss of 8lbs in 3 weeks now.

Won't lie - would have liked it to be a bit more, but a loss is a loss so need to give myself a talking to there.

Week 1 - 4lbs
Week 2 - 2lbs
Week 3 - 2lbs

I have a military ball to go to on 5th July and at this rate I will have lost 1.5 stone by then which is a nice interim goal to aim for.

Hope you're all having a great weekend ❤️🌸

Jumping in to join you if that's ok, just ordered my first pen.

Have agonised over this for a long time because I have severe emetophobia but finally taken the leap.

Thankyou so much! Please to hear a positive story

I'm planning on sticking to a normal weight loss diet so around 1200kcal, and I've bought plenty of protein rich foods for the week, so hopefully should be okay. I'm aiming for normal weight loss still of 1-2lbs per week

Will get some psyillium husk in

If i lose another 8lbs in the next 2 weeks I will be over the moon! I have just injected 3rd injection this morning. I have been lucky with no SE at all just no interest in eating unhealthy food.

Good luck @SmallSnooze I haven't had any nausea at all (on week 3 now) so fingers crossed you'll also be luck in that respect. Not everybody does - in fact if you look at the statistics most people don't.

Notreallybarbie1 · 18/05/2025 11:49

I had my first injection yesterday and today I have a really sore neck. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m on mounjaro.

Cucumberinginplease · 18/05/2025 11:53

Morning all!
W1 D3
Still feeling nauseated but it's manageable. No other side effects thankfully!
No desire to eat much but am eating at my main meal time, just mch smaller amounts than normal.

For those looking for meal ideas yesterday was:
Half an arla protien yoghurt, strawberries and melon for breakfast

2 poached eggs on one slice of home made grannary toast

Burger in a bowl (slimmingworld recipie) with home made sweet potato wedges for dinner.

Handful of grapes for a snack.

We watched eurovision last night and the rest of the family had popcorn. I just didn't want it. Neither did I want the dought they has doe pudding. Was a lovely, un controlled feeling :-)

Cucumberinginplease · 18/05/2025 12:11

Oh godness, sorry for typos! Serves me right for posting whilst sitting in the sun! Obviously a lovely incontrol feeling!

PandyMoanyMum · 18/05/2025 12:11

Morning all. I’m 52 and 5’6”. Reading the threads is what inspired me to believe it could be possible to lose weight with mounjaro. Managing feeling hungry and miserable alongside all the other shite life throws has been what has meant I haven’t stuck to a diet in years. I also have 3 friends who are doing it and they have done so well. I’m W2 D1.

SW 13’11
CW 13’’8
GW 10’0

So not the huge losses some of you have had but I have had minimal side effects and it’s going in the right direction without the constant internal fighting against eating.
One odd thing is that I have stopped snoring straight after my first injection. My DH is really chuffed! Has anyone else had this SE and will it last??

ElsieJay · 18/05/2025 12:17

@SilkCottonTree - we’re at exactly the same stage ! - so especially interested to read your posts .
Luckily minimal side effects here also, apart from slight nausea , and zero interest in/enthusiasm for any food (apart from fresh fruit). Took me 35 minutes this morning to eat a high-protein yoghurt.
I am having protein at every meal - not huge quantities, but it’s better than just not eating .
Onward and downwards!
