Started at 95k at 166cm. This is AFTER a gastric sleeve . Where I lost 20kg .. but there I remained . My problem is that I am a devotee of the ‘see-food’ diet. If I see it , I put it in my mouth. MJ knocked all of that nonsense on the head. I reached goal in November on 15mg. From there I have titrated backwards every 5 weeks until I’m now in a ‘sweet spot’ of sufficient appetite not to be losing but sufficient MJ to prevent snacking and the like.

My experience has been great. One day of ‘side effects’ in the form of constipation when moving from 7.5mg-10mg. Besides that nothing . I literally feel ‘born again’ into a happier healthier body .

Just checking this is April 2025 starters right?! Not 2024?

TheDutchHouse · 12/04/2025 08:54

Yes it's for 2025 but 2024 put in error. I'm sure the title can be changed after but I don't know how x

lovechocolate · 12/04/2025 09:19

Thanks for new thread @QS90. And well done to all for your weight losses.

Did my week 1 weigh in this morning. I’ve lost 2.5lbs. A bit gutted really, I was hoping for more in the first week. I have been really focussed on eating well, no snacking and walking more.

I’m putting it down to having lost a stone before starting the injections last week, there was no water weight to lose. That’s what I’m telling myself anyway! 😀

Start weight- 16.0 stone ( January)
SW- 15.0 stone
CW- 14 st 11.5 lbs
TW- 12 stone

GRCP · 12/04/2025 09:22

Just checking in as I start this week once my pen arrives! Might be worth changing the title of the thread as it says 2024 and it might confuse people - I think the OP would have to do it?

Raffles134 · 12/04/2025 09:29

Thanks @QS90 for the new thread!
W2D2 a bit tired yesterday after 2 injection but that’s all.
Thanks for the collagen recommendations everyone. xx

wordywitch · 12/04/2025 09:47

W2D3 and I felt hungrier this morning than usual, had toast and yogurt instead of just yogurt and fruit. No biggie though, I’m determined to listen to my body and not be too restrictive as in the past when I’ve lost weight through doing that I lose quickly but then gain it all back because willpower does not last forever.

I’ve done so much work in the last couple of years on healing my relationship with food, diet culture and my body in an effort to not just lose weight but get rid of negative self talk and bad ‘all or nothing’ diet habits.

Potato1234 · 12/04/2025 10:15

Day 7 of week 1 and have lost half a stone! Let’s see what the next couple of weeks bring as I always plateau after 1 week

AdotHam · 12/04/2025 10:18

Hi all, have finally taken the plunge after years of yo yo dieting and have ordered some MJ … really need to lose 4 or 5 stone to be healthy and happy so nervously looking forward to starting and trying to avoid any scaremongering stories online !!

TheCaloricDecline · 12/04/2025 10:34

Did 2nd injection last night. 5.2 lb down for the first week. Happy with that I think, I imagine 2-3lb is water weight. Haven't really had many side effects, just no food noise. Had some stomach issues but I think that might have been related to something I had eaten and with slowed movements had more time to cause me discomfort. Lets see what WK2 brings.

TheDutchHouse · 12/04/2025 11:06

W1 D3
still no adverse effects or suppression.
however the strange thing is I have to take prescription medication for pain relief daily or I’m in agony, often having to top up overnight.
But I realised that the past two nights I haven’t topped up and yesterday i missed taking the lunchtime tablets which get me through the afternoon.

That’s amazing, that would be beyond my expectations, did you get suppression?

BadSpellaSpellaSpella · 12/04/2025 11:31

I seen to have lucked out in that i haven't had any side effects at all. Definately not hungry really, more a case of not fussed about food atm. However I don't want to lose too quickly so made sure I ate properly yesterday by using a calorie tracker to make sure I was in a calorie deficit but still eating enough.

NotsosunnyShropshire · 12/04/2025 11:44

Thanks for the new thread. They’re filling up quickly.

My early morning dizziness has gone now, my fluid output seems to be more than my input. I hadn’t realised how much water retention I must have had. Either that or I’ll shortly be a dehydrated husk of my former self by next weekend lol.
DH bought me a Cadburys Crème Egg. I declined it. I have an extremely sweet tooth. This is unheard of for me. However, sugary things already taste different? More of a chemical taste?

For anyone looking for MJ MedExpress codes there is a thread here. Doi, I posted mine in there too.

Did 3rd 2.5 injection yesterday. Have been feeling suppression, less food noise, massively reduced snacking and doing 16/8 fasting.
No side effects except headaches and I know I need to drink more water.
Only 1lb weight loss in two weeks! WTF?!

Honestly no, I was just telling myself I was I think. Yesterday I barely ate due to nausea. Hopefully the second jab feels different. This happens for me each time, where I lose around that amount in the first week and then not another pound no matter what I try! I really hope it continues to drop even a pound a week as it’s never happened before

Have you been exercising? Or strength training? I know the scales never show it if I’ve done lots of exercise, I don’t know the science behind it though. A loss is a loss try not to be disheartened, well done

Am I ok to join? I start on Monday x

God no! 😄 I know I need to but I haven’t.

fourapples · 12/04/2025 12:39

Just took my second injection last night.
Total loss for W1 was 3.5lbs.
I hope to average 2-3lbs a week as I feel that is a good but reliable weightloss and I'll be able to keep up with weight training to improve muscle tone and hopefully not just end up looking saggy!
I'm having some appetite suppression but not a total blackout of hunger. I'm d1 of w2 and my tummy has been grumbling all morning so will definitely make sure I have a high protein lunch.
Just want to say how proud I am of all of us - taking the leap to change our health. Dealing with unpleasant side effects in some cases and some fear of the unknown and not to mention the financial commitment. Well done, everyone!

PearlFatball · 12/04/2025 12:43

Weighed in again this morning (although last night was meant to be the third injection and forgot so need to do that ASAP today).
SW 86.2
CW 83.6 two weeks in

Not as good as some but it’s something. Less than a pound this week though, but I haven’t felt much suppression either. Ready to move on to 5mg soon I think but first have a long weekend in Greece over Easter to contend with.

Me either. I’ve had a rough postnatal journey with my c section wound so only managing short walks. I love Just Dance so going to start that up again when I’m fully healed, it’s really fun if you’re into that sort of thing
