Loving reading everyone’s progress so far.

I’m after a bit of advice with order in the UK. I started when I was on holiday in Australia at the start of April. They gave me a 5 pen to start with so will get 5 weeks out of that because the first couple of weeks was at 2.5.

I got a few of my scripts filled over there to bring back with me so have three pens to use.
my question is though would it be wise for me to sign up and get a supplier over here cause by the time I have done three more months I would hope my BMI would be very close to healthy range is anyone going to let me sign up over here if I’m no longer in the obese range?

Hi Everyone

WK 4 D2

SW 13st 7
CW 12st 11
GW 10st 7

total loss 10lb

I’m feeling so much better today. I took my fourth jab yesterday morning. Had really good suppression all day and prioritised foods to get things moving down below! I had apples, raspberries and chopped apricots with my Greek yogurt and muesli and then for lunch I was at Starbucks with the kids and had a porridge pot - porridge is my constipation secret weapon!

We have homemade pizza on a Friday night and I normally eat a whole one (they aren’t huge and I don’t put that much cheese on) but last night I was genuinely satisfied with half. I also knew I couldn’t manage my normal Friday night beer. Didn’t snack at all despite watching a film!

woke up needing the bathroom and had lost a further 1lb when I weighed.

We’ve got a friend coming to stay later and would normally use that as an excuse to eat all the snacks but I’m actually feeling confident that this won’t be the case today.

Ofcoursehesthefkingfarmer · 26/04/2025 13:06

Wk5D4, 1st week of 5mg. Suppression is massive, I’m really having to force myself to get food on board. I do feel a bit knackered and weak today, probably due to lack of food. Just had a protein shake as I find them a bit easier to stomach. We had a late night last night so I’m hoping that is part of my issue!

We’re going out for supper with friends this evening, no one knows I’m on WLI and I’m really not looking forward to having to eat a meal.

NSV quite a few bits of my wardrobe are starting to fit now, so I have lots of options for what I’m wearing this evening! 🥂

Mounraine · 26/04/2025 13:11

Any side effects @Ofcoursehesthefkingfarmer ?

Minuethippo · 26/04/2025 13:18

Does anyone have type 2 diabetes that they disclosed when ordering and managed to get the jab? Most pharmacies reject patients with type 2 diabetes.

Galadali · 26/04/2025 13:25

I was on holiday this week, averaging around 20k steps per day (we don't do relax by the pool type hols 😂), eating nice food but sticking to 1200 cals per day, and I've lost a big fat nothing this week. In fact, yesterday I'd even gone up a lb. What with the restarted periods after 5 years of menopause and now a flatline I'm feeling a bit deflated. I'm in for the long haul though so fingers crossed for a more positive week after taking my first 5mg tonight!

Yes, me! Weird as it's a drug specifically developed for type 2 diabetes. Have they given that as their reason for declining? I use Medino. They were the first pharmacy I tried and they accepted me after a 30min consultation.

Most of my d2 friends are on privately sourced MJ too so there must be plenty of pharmacies that are prescribing it. Give Medino a try. I've used them in the past for other things and the service is always excellent. They're one of the cheapest too.

Hi I’ve just started and had my first dose last night before bed, I’ve been so nervous all week that I’ve ended up losing a bit of weight before Ive even started! Woke up feeling ok had a protein shake and then a couple of hours later had some Weetabix (I’m not a breakfast person) one thing I have noticed is my sense of smell! I was feeding my dogs and the dog food smell was knocking me sick! But I’ve been feeling ok since.

Weight when ordered
14st 4.2
Weight yesterday morning before jab
13st 13.2
bmi 34.4
height 5ft 3
age 40

Golden dose on my first pen for me tonight!

Steady losses, was a bit disappointed with this week but was on my period and did have a few treats (tiny Lidl Brownie worth 300 cals im looking at you!) but still moving downwards 😃

Start 200 lbs

Wk 1 - 7lb
Wk 2 - 3lb
Wk 3 - 1.5lb
Wk 4 - 1lb

first GW is 168lb
longer term is 140-150lb

Have noticed im able to eat a bit more this week but I’ve already ordered another 2.5mg pen so will stick with that this month. Holiday towards the end of May so don’t want to be going onto 5mg then.

For those who are tracking food what is your daily protein goal?
The app I’m using says 148g but finding it hard to get above 100g!

cherrymaoam · 26/04/2025 14:45

Hmm, after thinking I’d got away without side effects, I have just had the galloping trots. W2D3. Hope it was just a one-off!

@Galadali the same for me. No loss at all this week- had two small glasses of wine during the week but apart from that I’ve been really good with my eating. Hoping to move up to 5mg now- maybe 2.5mg isn’t enough for me. As you say, in it for the long haul, hopefully better news for us next week 😀

Any side effects @Ofcoursehesthefkingfarmer ?

Just the feeling of general weakness/wibbly/not 100%. I did have half an hour on the loo first thing with a dodgy tummy but probably because we ate late and it was belly pork so I think far too rich.

I’m hoping the host this evening has been vanilla and kept with meat and two veg theme, if it’s even remotely spicy I’m fucked 😂

Mounraine · 26/04/2025 15:23

Oh no! Good luck tonight 😁.

Mounraine · 26/04/2025 15:24

I am finally plucking up the courage to try 2.5mg again. If it doesn’t go well though I think pen 2 will be my last.

This is a concern for quite a few of us.
I’m with med express and they renewed my second pen (5 mg) without any kind of consultation after 2 weeks on 2.5mg. I’m about to use my 5mg pen after doing the golden dose in my first pen. Then i
might order my third pen to make sure I have got it ready, even though I suspect my bmi will be below 27 by then. I’m nervous to change providers now as I’m below a bmi of 30 and I expect it will be refused!
it would be good to know if any providers just accept evidence of use of Mounjaro without wanting you to weigh in, or will accept you with a lower bmi if you’ve not started with them as a customer

I’m going to be in the same position - I’ve dropped below BMI 30 now but still have 2.5 stone to lose. Just ordered my second pen with Asda. I’ve heard that Oushk support maintenance so planning to try and change to them at some point - maybe while I’m still in the overweight category. I really like being able to collect my pen though so don’t want to give up Asda before I have to.

StrikeForever · 26/04/2025 16:31

@Pepperwaggytail and @Incognitoburrito88 I really wouldn’t try to change suppliers now that your BMIs are under 30. Pharmacies are only supposed to prescribe with 30 or higher. Your existing provider can keep prescribing to you because they know for certain that your BMI was 30 or above when you started.

Dobbysdad · 26/04/2025 16:57

Hi all, weigh day for me today at the end of week 2. -2.4lbs this week which I was slightly disappointed by. 12.4 off in total after 2 weeks. I go away at the end of may and would love to have lost another 16lbs by then to take me to 2 stone. Not sure how realistic that is!
I'm not doing golden doses, I'm with shemed so paying a flat rate each month. Anyone else on shemed and had confirmation of which dose they issue for the second pen?

Musermum · 26/04/2025 18:49

3rd jab this evening.. Changed legs. Lost 9lbs so far which I'm happy with. Terrible cravings last night and was nearly tempted to jab early, but today has been no problem so jabbed just before dinner. Great to hear how everyone is doing.

Tocktik · 26/04/2025 19:14

I moved to Oushk whilst still in the obese bmi, but I emailed them and they got back to me within a few hours when I had some questions about changing to them.
There is also an option for maintenance on their website so it may be you can transfer if can prove previous provider etc, but I would email them, as I said they get back quickly.

Potato1234 · 26/04/2025 19:57

Been really good all week. 3 weeks in and lost 16 pounds. Today I’ve felt so weak, dizzy and nauseous. Ended up with a takeaway and had a couple of biscuits, so no idea on calories today. This has meant that I’ve been able to drink water though, as I felt too sick to drink before this. My portions have always been small, that’s never been my issue, it’s the snacking on crap after that is my problem. I’d love nothing more than to eat an Easter egg I’ve been given, but I know I’ll feel guilty if I do so it’s just willpower for me now. Definitely need to increase my dosage at the next jab

Crikeyalmighty · 26/04/2025 20:22

I wonder if you eating enough @Potato1234 -? with you mentioning sick and dizzy as that’s a really big loss for 3 weeks - I’m a similar timeframe and have lost 7.5 - but even each week - that’s on around 1250 in week and 1600 at weekend ( to accommodate 1 large glass of vino on Friday and Saturday )

Probably not, but I’m putting it down to first period since giving birth. If I was on a diet right now then it would be out the window as I’ve “cheated”. It’s all or nothing for me usually and I don’t feel like that now so it’s a positive - 1 takeaway in 3 weeks is good going! I have a lot to lose mind so that might be why my loss is bigger

100 is plenty! That’s what I read

I find it hard and have started eating cheese, the thing everyone wants to give up!

I get to about 80-90
