I asked those users further down the line to say what the FAQs were on their threads and have had back the following which might be helpful to us at the start - here they are:
There are 5 doses in each pen, buy some syringes to get the 5th.
Staying on the lowest dose makes sense if it is giving you want you need, but buying the 5mg pen as your 2nd pen and taking 2.5mg if it works for you also makes sense so you have the flexibility. This is done by number of clicks.
Some providers push you to move up, you don't have to!
Track calories in the beginning to make sure you are eating enough and to get a base line for portion sizes.
Eat protein at every meal if you can
Drink water - work up to at least 2L
Weigh daily/weekly/monthly - doesn't matter which one you choose to do that suits you
Take measurements / recalculate your TDEE at the start of each pen
Vitamins - some do / some don't because they get enough through diet
Exercise is important to retain muscle. Walking is good and some strength training.
Ask your local pharmacy if you are struggling with constipation, D&V etc they can prescribe something
Hair loss is common with rapid weightloss
Some people lose slower than others, they are not doing anything wrong
Read the two patient leaflets! - it contains all the information you need for changing injection day, issues with oral contraception, how to store used/unused pens, what to do if you miss a dose etc
t's normal for suppression to wane at the end of the week, this is not a problem and doesn't need fixing.
It's normal for suppression to fluctuate and be lower or higher without seemingly any obvious cause. Don't panic, see how you go over a couple of weeks or so.
A weight loss plateau is not one week without losing weight, that is a normal fluctuation - weight loss is not linear.
Yes, it's easy to change pharmacy - you just fill out the new one's online form and say that you are already taking a WLI and provide evidence of that.
Track you calorie deficit over the week not the day. Its good to work with Mounjaro's changing suppression and fine to eat on days you are hungry. Read about calorie cycling.
If you have what appears to be a gain it might just be water weight from a salty/carby meal the day before, hormonal, need a 💩, you are dehdryated, you ate late, you exercised.
Don't panic or start saying you had a plateau which is at least 4 weeks at the same weight. It will probably go the following week/day.
Don't panic and go up a dose just because you have a couple of days with less suppression (there are only 6 doses to go up to). It might just be you are hungry because you didn't eat much the day before. See how it goes over a couple of weeks.
