@LaundryQueenX3 I've put it in a thread and tagged you in it, so hopefully you'll find it. It give you £40 off and gets me credit too.

They have been great for me so far. I have only had 2 pens, both from them. It does seem simple to switch providers so I will see if it's worth it after my next pen.

Thanks I’ve got it! Copied and pasted it to my notes for next week. Bonus that you get £40 off aswell!

I’ll probably order Monday next week to make sure I give myself plenty of time incase it’s difficult to switch over. From what I’ve seen above on the board though, seems it’s quite straight forward….fingers crossed 🤞🏼😂

MJSpideySenses · 25/02/2025 20:25

@LaundryQueenX3 Brilliant, thanks.
Hope it is straightforward! Hope you're getting on OK so far too.

I'm going up to 5mg on Friday. Not going to try the extra dose from this pen. I have had an uneventful few weeks on 2.5mg and really hope it continues with 5.

My DH says he can really see that I've lost weight already (I've lost 9lb) and how I seem to be happy. It's been much easier than I imagined so far.

DelightfullySoSo · 25/02/2025 20:27

Oooh can I join?? Had my first dose on Sunday night - 2 days ago, So this is Week 1, Day 2 for me. Was wiped and a bit nauseous through Sunday night and totally suppressed (or maybe just sicky and not wanting food) yesterday. Today I feel more myself and some good suppression... even when DH decided to make bacon sandwiches for everyone, I wasn't even tempted! Glad I finally started as I've procrastinated for nearly 3 weeks. I am really anxious and hyper-aware of every sensation in my belly.. is anyone else like this?

Let me know how the move up goes! I’m thinking of going to the 5ml next, so would be interested to see how you get on.

I’ve been exactly the same as you so far, really uneventful and have no side effects at all (apart from one night I had fish fillet and sweet potatoes fries in the air fryer and felt a little nauseous afterwards). I’ve been tracking my diet though and making sure my protein and carbs are balanced most days. I just love how it steers me away from sugary foods without having to even think twice about it.

Wow that’s a brilliant loss, well done!! So glad it’s been easy for you aswell, it makes all the difference to sticking with it.

My partner is much more supportive than I thought he would be, but he knows my weight effects my mental health more than it should do!

arealnewbie · 25/02/2025 20:56

@DelightfullySoSo

It's W1D2 for me as well. I was the same in terms of procrastination- had the pen for a week before I built up the courage. Glad to hear you took the plunge like me. All going well so far. Had 3 good meals today- only ate half of lunch which I normally don't do. Had dinner around 1800 and then went for a walk. Don't feel like having a snack at all (again not like me and very much my downfall). Like you very hyper sensitive about my tummy sensations but so far so good. Have signed up for a 6-week gym programme- first session tomorrow- yikes!

flipflop76 · 25/02/2025 21:29

My pen arrived today and I might try and take the first dose in the morning. Hope i can work it all out. I was tempted to do it tonight rather than during the morning rush of getting out the house but I'm scared I'll be ill in the night l as I've got slight stomach ache tonight.

Hi everyone, I started on mounjaro yesterday! I haven't felt hunger so to speak but have noticed when I need to eat because I get light headed so took this as a sign to eat (meals not snacks).

This has probably been asked before but I'm wondering what happens when I get below bmi30, as that will be very soon as I am exactly that at the moment. How much further down the bmi do they let you keep ordering? I'm hoping to get well within my healthy weight range (just above half way) as I've been that weight in the past and it's when I'm at my healthiest.

Glad to have found this support thread so I can go on this journey with you all.

Just realised I've got a mega purple bruise in my injection site! 😳

Tranquilitybaby · 25/02/2025 22:59

Starting this Friday night with my first jab. Should I wait and join the March starter group or stick with this one? X

You are most welcome here! You could always start a March 2025 starters group - if there’s not already - great time to get that going!

Oh crikey I'm sorry. I can't work out how to delete things either. It's pretty much the first time I've really engaged on here.

Oh dear. Off to Mumsnet jail for you! 😂

There’s a whole other thread just for sharing discount codes. Will try and find it for you x

I’m not sure actually. Does anyone else know on here?

I suppose you could always hop onto an older Mounjaro group - maybe a group who started over the summer - and ask them, oh wise (and slim) ones. Report back if you do!

It will depend on your supplier. I'd expect you'll be fine until your bmi is below 25. Some also have maintainenace plans for the those who were already ordering with them once your bmi is below 25, if that's an option you want.

0987654321q · 26/02/2025 05:43

Had a sneaky peek on the scales and 2 additional lbs have dropped off. All whilst averaging 1700 ish pounds and regularly exercising. Am very pleased.

0987654321q · 26/02/2025 06:25

1700 ish calories

Fairyflaps · 26/02/2025 06:35

W1d5 only noticeable side effect is the eggy burps. Any advice on how to deal with them? They're not after eating, so I don't think it is due to a full stomach.

In positive news, my morning sugar levels are now down from double figures to normal range - for the first time in a while.

HappyPie82 · 26/02/2025 07:21

W2D3 and the eggy burps have hit with a vengeance. It’s also day 1 of my period so I can’t tell if my unsettled tummy is period cramps or the MJ.

@Fairyflaps ive bought some digestive enzymes and probiotic to helps with the eggy burps. It’s due to the delayed gastric emptying and then if you’re also higher protein diet it’s your stomachs acid breaking it down. The theory in the digestive enzymes is it helps with the breaking it down.

I’ve ordered a 5mg pen next time but the effects of the 2.5mg seem a lot stronger this week so I may have to pace my next pen over march and into April

Mounjaroday · 26/02/2025 08:04

Took my first 5mg pen last night. Feel fine!

@Warmautumnbreeze

Some suppliers will support maintenance plans and looking at the statistics on weight regain after stopping, and reading Reddit posts from the US where they have had this drug longer, I think many of us will need to stay on some sort of maintenance dose long term.

Of course it would be wonderful not to and maybe I will be one of the lucky ones but I am trying to think about this as something I might need forever

Part of why I chose Cloud pharmacy is that they seem pretty flexible on maintenance.
