Hi!

Any interest in a Wegovy only thread? There are lots of threads but must of the posters seem to be on Mounjaro.

Be nice to have a smaller group of us who are on Wegovy so that the doses are more relevant?😊

Hello, I’m wondering if any Wegovy users are still around? Interested to know how you’re getting on now, a few months later. Your posts earlier were all so useful and encouraging for a new starter.

And also wondering if anyone has experience of when the nausea subsides? I’m early days - day 5 of week 1 - but have fairly continual low level nausea. It’s manageable if that’s what it takes to lose the weight but equally it’s a bit wearing. Anyone had nausea? Did it go?

Hi.

I haven't really posted much on here but started in late January. I have lost just over 7kg (SW was 83kg). I stayed on 0.5 for March and April, as it was Easter, my birthday and I went on a cruise for 10 days and I did not want to feel ill for any of those.

I did not put any weight on in April (despite Easter eggs, birthday cake and constant all you can eat buffets) which I considered a win. I have now moved onto 1.0. I am still feeling positive and my side effects have been negligible.
😊

Congratulations on your loss. Sounds good that you’ve achieved that despite distractions! And good to hear negligible side effects.

Is anyone still around? I started Wegovy on Saturday and feel really really good - except my eyesight seems to be blurrier than usual.

did anyone else get this? Could it be a blood-sugar thing? It’s making me scared to take my second does this weekend.

I am currently on 2.4mg dose. I am going on holiday for 2.5 weeks. Would it be ok to have a break from the injections and then restart on the same dose? I have a long flight so it would be too difficult to travel with the medication.

Hi @Birdy65 yes I can't see why that wouldn't be fine x

Not sure how active this thread is but I decided on Wegovy due to Monjourno affecting the pill. I've been humming and hawing about starting but finally bit the bullet and my pen arrived last Friday. I was away that weekend so thought I'd start this weekend instead. However working out holiday dates, last night was a better time to start!!

I don't know if this is just all in my mind but today my appetite has totally gone and I haven't even been thinking about food despite a quiet day in work where id normally be raiding the kitchen cupboards due to boredom!! I've just had a boiled egg with some cottage cheese there as I don't want to go without food until dinner. But is this common for it to start like this so quickly?

It was the same for me. Literally from day one. I also initially had what felt like a lump in my throat/chest, but that went away quite quickly.
Good luck!

I've no other side effects so far (fingers crossed) I'm really quite amazed at how less of an appetite I have. Should I be eating something even if I don't feel hungry?

TunipTheVegimal24 · 24/07/2025 23:54

I'm on monjaro, but the sudden loss of appetite is normal on WLI! It comes as a bit of a surprise to most people I think.

I don't think upu need to force meals, so long as you're getting what you need nutritionally - at least 50g of protein, 800 calories and 5 fruit and veg, in my understanding. No point in forcing yourself to eat toast, for example. Maybe read / listen to "The Fast 800", for a rundown of the science / recommendations? It's an easy and interesting read.

This isn't a very active thread. There's probably one for people starting your month, which might be better? If not for Wegovy, then for Monjaro - I imagine it'll be quite similar.

Good luck with your journey - these drugs are amazing and life changing xx
