Hi!

Any interest in a Wegovy only thread? There are lots of threads but must of the posters seem to be on Mounjaro.

Be nice to have a smaller group of us who are on Wegovy so that the doses are more relevant?😊

Amazing, well done! How do you find not being on it any more? Are you able to maintain?

I've lost a further 2 pounds this month since being off it 😊

I feel like it's changed my mindset and habits around food tbh, obviously early days, but going very well so far.

So inspiring to see all the messages and well done MindfulAndDemure That is a fantastic loss - really life changing indeed. How have you been since you've come off it? Only a month but have you been OK? I've read all the messages - too many to respond to individually - but thank you to everyone who's posting. It is so inspiring and helpful to see we are all going through the same thing. I took my 4th dose this morning and all well (so far!). I'm not weighing myself but weight loss is evident. I got in the car yesterday, fastened my seatbelt and couldn't see it under my boobs! That's not happened in a long while. Can't believe it's so easy. I eat what I want - which is usually something like chicken an veg, as I realised if I am eating less so it's important it's nutritious. However I'm working away this week living in a hotel and not so easy. Yesterday had an M and S wrap and a couple of bags of crisps plus some biscuits. Not ideal nutritionally but I felt like a normal person who has to grab lunch on the go, not 'guilty because I'd failed'. Feeling very grateful to whoever it was who invented this!

FedUpandEatingChocolate · 02/02/2025 22:00

Can I belatedly join?

First jab yesterday, 0.25. I probably should have delayed taking it as I'm ill with a virus, so eating very little anyway!

My DH has been on it for a few months and he's shifted a bit of weight. He's still getting sugar cravings but has had very few side effects.

I just wanted to jump on and wish you all the very best of luck!

I started Wegovy in January last year, and finished at end of December with total weight loss of over five stone. For me, it was truly life changing.

That is very impressive! Well done. And to maintain it... I don't trust myself at all with coming off it because even on day 6 in a week my appetite comes back and I slip straight back into bad habits. Any more tips you have we would love to hear!

NCfortheeatingdisorderboard · 03/02/2025 21:47

@thornbury I'm amazed at how the loss of "food noise" feels and I'm only five days in.

The constipation is still there but manageable.

Whereohwhereohwhere · 04/02/2025 08:58

Wondering if anyone else is a few weeks in and not losing. I'm on my 4th dose and no real difference in weight. Im definitely eating less and healthier when I do. So very disheartening. I know its a long game but would have hoped to see some loss 4 weeks in. The side effects have been not very nice and harder to bear with no positive outcome to keep me going.

Dky4 · 04/02/2025 10:51

I just signed up today via Voy
How long did it take everyone else to be confirmed it had shipped out?

I'm only on week 1 so can't share my experience on wegovy, but I would say that with weight loss, everyone varies - some people lose a lot quickly, but others more slowly.

Don't forget that the first 4 weeks are to get your body used to it. My DH lost very little the first four weeks, but has lost a noticeable amount between weeks 5-8.

Also, slow and steady is good when it comes to weight loss.

BlueyAndBing0 · 04/02/2025 20:00

Can I please join? I'm a week on .25 and lost 3lbs. Kinda disheartened but I know that's ridiculous. The food noise thing is a game changer and I do worry how little calories I can consume in a day now. Averaged 600/700?!
One positive I've found is I really drunk too much, I lived for wine on the weekend and more often than not had some mid week. I'm going out this Saturday but I'm just no longer bothered about a drink!!! I have for the first time in my life felt like I might stick to this and actually loose some weight.

NCfortheeatingdisorderboard · 10/02/2025 00:24

I'm rather concerned that I'm on week two and the food noise is back. Anyone else having this?

FedUpandEatingChocolate · 10/02/2025 06:20

@NCfortheeatingdisorderboard I think that's normal, the starting doses are to get your body used to it.

Edited

That happened to me but got better week 3&4

fatandtrying · 10/02/2025 13:37

food noise was trying to keep in, when I was on my period! I did cave a little and had quarter of a chocolate muffin lol

My DH has been in hospital overnight with acute diverticulitis, he's on wegovy. He's struggled with his weight all his life.

He mentioned to every doctor about being on wegovy, not one said anything negative or made a link between the two.

This is what his sister said on the family chat: "You must get yourself off those stupid slimming tablets/injections, they can’t be helping your innards"

I'm so annoyed! It's not her place to comment and not helpful.

I'm so sorry your DH is in hospital, please ignore comments and go on doctors advise! this is whybonly my husband knows I am taking them as I can't not be arsed with daft comments off people! I'm a little bit out spoken so would probably message back amsomething i shouldn't and start another family argument..... just ignore and i hope he gets well soon

thornbury · 10/02/2025 15:46

@fedup I hope your DH is better soon.

It's not like Wegovy is some kind of magical panacea that means we'll never get sick again.

Birdy65 · 10/02/2025 18:55

Hello. I started my first dose last Friday. Today, I’ve had an awful sour taste in my month, similar to having a tablet without water. Not sure if it’s the injection or just coincidence.
Has anyone else had this?

FedUpandEatingChocolate · 10/02/2025 21:48

@Birdy65 I've not had a weird taste but things taste different. To me it feels like pregnancy morning sickness!

Birdy65 · 11/02/2025 01:26

I also have acid reflux/ingestion. Symptoms are very similar to pregnancy.

Ginflinger · 11/02/2025 08:03

Ginflinger · 27/01/2025 16:11

I failed again this morning. It's still in the fridge! Definitely tomorrow morning. Well done to everyone who's started!

Irony is I have already done 6 months, though on Ozempic, last year.

It's still in the fridge... Had a virus, had to travel for work, having a bout of insomnia... Lots of excuses. Don't know why I just can't start!

FedUpandEatingChocolate · 11/02/2025 11:04

@Ginflinger oh no! I was the opposite and started when unwell which I then regretted!

Ginflinger · 11/02/2025 17:12

@FedUpandEatingChocolate do you think it made you feel worse? I hope you're doing better now.

I have had acid reflux too. Nearly at the end of the first week now. Week 2 starts on Thursday. Ive done loads of steps this week (coincidentally theres a February walking team challenge I'm part of at work) and I'm doing 10-13k a day. Not really craved sweets and chocolate like normal but still have my appetite and have had my regular sized but healthier meals. Have eaten "bad food" too though perhaps not as much. Roll on week 2+. I've tried to concentrate on protein and fiber.

fatandtrying · 13/02/2025 11:35

jeans are feeling a little loose on me now and all my t shirts seem to be hanging rather than fitter.... just a shame we have to lose weight of our boobs isn't it 😂 lost 1 stone 3lbs now on my 5th jab
