Welcome all December 2024 starters, and November and January starters too😊. As we're almost at the end of the first thread, I thought to start a new one before it finishes.

Well done@Goinghome20 To lose weight on holiday is amazing g and well done @JunoRoma!

BigTightropeWalker · 15/04/2025 18:45

I wondered what people's advice is in this situation: I usually inject on Fridays but last Friday (as in 4 days ago) I forgot and then went away for the weekend. I came back on Monday and injected then. But I'm wondering if it would be a bad idea to inject again on Friday or if I should now do it on Mondays?

glittermittens · 15/04/2025 18:50

Amazing @Goinghome20 that's brilliant!!

Well done @JunoRoma!

glittermittens · 15/04/2025 18:51

@BigTightropeWalker I would probably inject on Saturday this week and then back to Friday next week. I've changed by injection day before and it was fine.

BigTightropeWalker · 15/04/2025 20:28

Thanks @glittermittensthats a good idea!

Well done Trinity. Thats a good loss this week. Was that your first week on 10mg?
How are you finding the 10mg so far?

Im undecided whether to stay on 7.5mg or go up to 10mg this month. Jab day tonorrow and finished my 7.5mg pen last week. Have a 7.5mg pen and a 10mg in the fridge.

Thing is Im beginning to get really baggy wrinkly skin on my stomach and thighs.. I look like a deflated balloon so not sure I want to lose any faster..

Anyone else getting this?

i lost 5lb over the 5 weeks on 7.5mg. (1st week at 5.85mg, 2nd at 6.25mg and ard 4th and 5th at 7.5mg.)

OrangeDonald · 16/04/2025 11:20

W18
Sw 91kg
Cw 80.1 kg
GW 70kg

Over half way to my goal! And although this week i seem to have had a bit of a stall, i know that one day soon I'll see a number starting with 7 on the scales - so that will be my next milestone to celebrate.

We went away for the weekend and stayed with friends. I have a slight cold and was worried my snoring would echo through their house but dh reassured me that i no longer appear to snore. And i suspect i have the MJ to thank for that.

Fingers crossed for a 7 next week.

Shame my snoring dh is not obese or I would suggest it to him!

JunoRoma · 16/04/2025 12:24

@Goinghome20 at some stages I've had noticeable loose skin on some parts of my body (buttocks, upper arms , thighs) but it has improved over the past couple of months and those areas are looking smoother now.

As for my abdomen, I was a bit concerned that the apron / overhang would increase as the weight reduced, but this hasn't happened. It's still there but has shrunk a bit, so it's keeping in proportion with my size.

JunoRoma · 16/04/2025 12:25

@OrangeDonald congratulations on passing the half way mark, and on the added bonus of now being able to sleep quietly!

Yes, that was my first week on 10mg and the suppression is working again. I move up a dose when I feel I'm fighting the cravings and constantly thinking about food.

A 1lb a week loss is brilliant and consistent. I'm absolutely expecting to get saggy skin but it hasn't happened yet because I'm still big and have a lot of fat to shift.

Slimwannabe · 16/04/2025 19:35

Congratulations all on more fabulous losses, but particularly @Goinghome20 for the post-holiday gift from the scales and @OrangeDonald on the loss of your snores!

Oh congratulations @LC4life , into double figures is a huge milestone! And well done for keeping on track while life is difficult on other fronts. So far I haven’t, thank goodness, been tested like that, but it’s bad times that could knock my resolve, so it’s inspiring to hear you’re managing. I hope things get easier soon.

shrinkingthiswinter · 18/04/2025 07:11

Weighed this morning and I’m suddenly over the 20kg mark! It’s been going slowly for a few weeks, and then 1.2kg disappeared in the last couple of days. I suspected there were water balance issues because my measurements have been shrinking nicely, but it’s very cheering to see it on the scales.

So that puts me at 83.2kg with BMI 28.1, and my first major goal. Indeed initially I thought it would be my end goal, but I am carrying on to 78 or 73.

I weighed 83 in autumn 2003 and know I looked a bit overweight then, but not too much. Now I’m much better trained, but also a lot older 😆. Enjoying looking as well as feeling a lot better, though. Vanity is quite motivational.

Hope everyone gets to enjoy the long weekend!

JunoRoma · 18/04/2025 07:58

Congratulations to @LC4life and @shrinkingthiswinter on reaching your respective milestones!

Goinghome20 · 18/04/2025 08:20

Nice to hear from you @LC4life sounding like you are facing health challenges with positivity..

Congratulations for reaching your initial goal @shrinkingthiswinter.

we are all definately playing the long game here and its working! Looking and feeling better is what its all about.

Not sure if anyone else has already discovered the YUKA app but i am obsessed (having downloaded it yesterday)

You basically scan barcodes of food packaging. And it gives you a kind of an overview of the nutritional value of the item, a list if the cons and a list of the pros. It will then also recommend a healthier version thats similar.

Goinghome20 · 18/04/2025 14:47

Just met a friend I havent seen for a few months. 1st thing she said was "You lost weight!"
🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Slimwannabe · 19/04/2025 20:39
