Week 2 day 2 here and I'm more hungry and fancy food more this week than last week, which is pretty annoying. Felt like it wore off by the end of the week and I was expecting the impact to be greater after the second dose. But we'll see. It's only the 2.5.

My husband started the same time as me and has felt quite sick, but I've been feeling fine.

I'm actually the same!

Week 2 day and I've been feeling hungry which is really disappointing. Last week was great but it wore off on Friday and then I ate normally over the weekend. I also haven't really had any side effects. Wondering why I'm so hungry on day 2! Maybe we need to up the dose to 5mg earlier than most? @Oceangreyscale

Maybe, but I won't be messing with the prescription!
I think it's still working a bit but not as much as last week. Could be placebo effect but I'll take what I can get.

MrsMcvities · 18/11/2024 20:07

first dose was sat night so day 2 I guess and I’ve had the most awful fizzy sulphur burps and sick/dizzy feeling all day today, totally wiped of energy too. Anyone else like this?

namechangedyetagain · 18/11/2024 20:12

Thank you for the new thread. Just checking in W3D2 and still no loss. I am really not hungry though on advice from the last thread I'm trying to eat more daily. Will keep on though and see what this week brings

Odfod · 18/11/2024 20:21

So nearing the end of my first day...

I've not eaten much - not sure it's actual suppression or mind over matter. Either way I'm taking it. I've had cucumber, grapes and babybel light at lunch and an M&S caprese salad this evening when everyone else was having lasagna. I'm fairly sure I'm full but that nagging sweet tooth is there 😬

AllstarFacilier · 18/11/2024 20:25

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 15/11/2024 22:00

Shall we have a quick round robin and see what day and dose we’re up to?

I’m on W2 D2, dose 2.5mg. Suppression good and not wanting to snack, a bout of loose tum today but mostly needing to carry on with my constipation medication (long term issue for me), a bit cold and tired today but overall happy so far!

I’m on w3d1 - did my third 2.5mg jab yesterday. I haven’t felt hungry once since I started, but I don’t miss meals and still want to eat and fancy food when I do, I’ve seen people forgetting to eat, but because of my routine I don’t think I would. I still look forward to eating, but I finish eating when I feel I’ve had enough and I don’t snack around meals like I used to. I also have a smaller lunch, so where I’d once have a sandwich, fruit and crisps and easily eat 500cals, I now can have a 100 cal soup and that be enough.

rocketgal · 18/11/2024 20:42

I don't think my results will be as good W2. I didn't feel particularly hungry last week but had a few things like lunches out where I was still sensible and didn't eat much over the course of the day but I think that combined with a day of drinking on Saturday has affected my loss this week. Feel heavy and bloated again.Might weigh in on Wednesday instead of tomorrow so the booze bloat might have gone a bit more. Glad I don't have any social stuff on this week to derail me.

IHateMozzies · 18/11/2024 20:44

Just caught up with the new thread.

Well a bit disappointed with myself this weekend, I haven’t eaten great and twice I’ve eaten the kids leftovers! Felt a tiny bit hungry today as well!

Back on track today but not hopeful for a loss this week.

RayonSunrise · 18/11/2024 20:45

Hello all, just found the new thread! Am on W1 D6 and finally feeling hunger reasserting itself, though I've still managed to keep my intake down today. No other side effects. Roll on injection day tomorrow!

MareeMint · 18/11/2024 21:11

I am planning to start today but am so nervous. I picked up my Mounjaro a couple of days ago. I don't do well with nausea, etc. so have been too nervous to actually start. Any suggestions for how to deal with nausea effectively if it happens would be amazing! Do you take the dose in the morning, evening, before or after food, etc, what do you do to minimise nausea? Thank you.

It is recommended to take it in the evening. I ate some nuts about an hour before. I’ve just taken mine (WK3) so if you are nauseous you’ll sleep through it.

Avoid really spicy foods, eat wisely and avoid fizzy drinks is the general advice - but we are all built differently .

NearlyNewHip · 18/11/2024 21:18

I'm on jab 6. I jab in the night, few hours after dinner. Next morning I sip loads of water and eat little and often throughout the day for the first day. No idea if it works for everyone but seems to work for me x

WeakAsIAm · 18/11/2024 21:22

@CaptainCabinetsTrappedInCabinets

I found I had a little bead after my last injection.

Is it possible I'm pressing the plunger too fast? I waited for a count of 20.

Not usually no, speed of injection shouldn't make a difference, I'd do the count/hold for longer; everyone is different.

rocketgal · 18/11/2024 21:37

Also has anyone else had stomach aches? I had some tomato soup and a slice of toast for dinner and my stomach feels quite crampy and tender

I’m only on day 2 but so far no nausea. My only side effects are significantly reduced hunger and food noise and tiredness. Currently in bed before my teens. Looks like week 1 will involve early nights.

i have followed my friends advice and made sure I drink lots.

Jabtastic · 18/11/2024 21:58

Heartburn is driving me mad at the moment as is constipation. I'm still 50 / 50 on whether or not to continue- even if I only manage 2 months and shift a stone at least I have broken the mad stress binge cycle I was in. But the side effects are irritating and I feel like the acid reflux is potentially harmful- I'm coughing a lot especially at night when I lie down to sleep.

NoOneAtTheInn · 18/11/2024 22:08

@KeepCalmandGiveItaGo thanks so much for the lovely welcome. And reassurance!

Hope everyone is doing well today. How are you @TeenLifeMum?

So many people jn same boat, it's great to have this support!

I am on W1D2 and nausea still pretty bad. Can function but it's annoying. The phenomenal thing though is my complete disinterest in alcohol. I had definitely developed too much of a habit, using a glass of wine as a means of survival at end of a day with work and two kids under 4. But I couldn't stomach a wine or beer right now!

Definitely not eating enough. Hoping the nausea will subside on day 3 or 4 and I'll find more ways to eat then. Will definitely lose weight at this rate but would prefer to be eating more.

Positively, can still stomach coffee, have no constipation and am not tired. Every cloud!

Going for a sneaky weigh in tomorrow on day 3.

Sending support to everyone.

Madickenxx · 16/11/2024 11:20

Hi All and thanks @KeepCalmandGiveItaGo for the new thread.

I've just started week 4 so officially started in October but felt more at home here.

So far I've lost 8lbs in 3 weeks and I'm very happy with that. No side effects other than being thirsty which is a good reminder to drink water.

Way bigger than the weight loss is that my blood pressure has gone from really high to in the normal range and had bloods and my cholesterol has also gone from "in the red" (last measured April) to well within the normal range. Reading up on how MJ can improve blood pressure is what made me go for it and I couldn't be happier.

Hope you're all having a great weekend! I'm off Christmas shopping and really looking forward to it! Smile

Hi Madickenxx am just catching up and wanted to say a huge well done, that is a fantastic result for your lower blood pressure and cholesterol 🌟 and a great loss on the scales too! So encouraging to hear :) hope you had fun Christmas shopping. Are you planning to go up to 5mg?

Hi Jabtastic so sorry the side effects are dogging you. I think you’re with Voy, same as me? Have you had a chat with your coach? They might have some good advice/ methods to try and maybe another medication to help relieve the acid and constipation. You’ve come so far and you’ve persevered so well in the face of minimal suppression. Have a chat with Voy they seem like such a friendly and knowledgeable team 🌸

Hello LindtCurves and Cantbesure and any other new joiners :) 👋 welcome on board! Well done for getting your first jabs done and dusted, and hope your first day/ evening went well, let us know how you get on and all the best for your first weeks x

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 18/11/2024 23:54

Sorry you’re feeling sick and the suppression has diminished CaptainCabinetsTrappedInCabinets, the prospective of going up a dose must seem daunting with all that nausea going on. Are you with a prescriber that offers support? They might have advice to help tackle the nausea and a dose increase should help boost the suppression. I can’t remember if you said you’d had a loss yet? Hopefully there’s something there to show for your efforts. Hope you have a better day tomorrow 💐 x

Injected this morning and feel more hungry this afternoon/evening than I have done since I started.
This is injection 3.
I said up thread that today there was a small pool of fluid when I pulled the needle out and now I'm worried nothing has gone in!

Hey MamaorBruh sorry I saw your message earlier and meant to reply but the day got away from me!

Yes I had the same with jab 2, a little pool of it at the injection site on my thigh. Helpfully DH was next to me and had watched me jab and I said err does this mean I haven’t had the dose and he said no that he saw the needle was still wet from the priming - the couple of drops were on the needle when I injected and he saw them deposit on my thigh as they dripped down. Quite likely the same thing happened to you so try not to worry. Makes sense as the injection goes under the skin so the medicine wouldn’t just sit on top of the skin like that. I felt suppression the following day so it def went in! Hope that helps put your mind at ease a bit 🙂

Welcome all the newbies, I can't believe there are so many of us.
I'm week 3 day 4, had drinks on the weekend. Kind of to check if I could still drink like I used to, (waaaay too much). I could, so something I need to be wary of and try and limit. I'm still not getting much suppression and eating pretty normally. Have had a small gain so far this week, maybe due to the booze. See how I go on weigh in day.

Mrsredlipstick · 19/11/2024 08:33

Morning all. W3D2

I didn't take my Wegovy until this morning. I didn't want to feel sick yesterday. I've got a few sulphur burps now but I need breakfast. I'm not working today so I thought I'd take it and if I feel bad at least I'm home.
I was really disappointed with last week. No loss at all. I checked my food diary and it was fine. I don't have food noise as such but I'm spending all day trying to plan food and overhaul the shopping.
