@TeenLifeMum hope your first day has gone well. I was 172lb after having my first 5 years ago. Then went down to 138lb through keto

Put it all back on and still not sure how I allowed that to happen but then got pregnant with my second, up to 190lb and have never managed to lose much after I had him. I've got down to 155lb but again a stone creeps back on.

Hopefully this is the boost I need. Don't even really want to lose loads, just enough to feel like me again as I feel I've lost that.

Wishing us both a great first week

Hi all, can I join. W1 D1 for me after jabbing this afternoon.
SW 13st 8
GW 10st 12

Have previously tried to lose weight using Mysimba but had to stop as the nausea was so awful. Praying this isn’t quite as bad.

I used keto back in 2019 and ended up 9st 12 and running a half marathon March 2020. I still run but only 5ks and keep getting injured, which I think is due to the weight I’m carrying. I put on the covid curves (stressful nhs job and homeschooling 3dc) then work got bad with a merger/bullying etc and that’s settled but the scars remain including weight gain. So annoyed at myself but dh reminds me what I’ve been through and to be more kind on myself. I’m done with being fat with beautiful clothes that no longer fit just sitting there. We’ve got this!

NoOneAtTheInn · 17/11/2024 19:59

@TeenLifeMum you sound so motivated. Here for this! Let's do it.

I’m so fed up and ready!

Hundredthmillionthdiet · 17/11/2024 20:15

Was away for breakfast with MIL and she commented my face was looking thinner ❤️

She doesn't know im on MJ, but healthy eating.

Havn't weighed in today. Can't say ve noticed any difference with my injection yesterdayno suprression, no symtoms.

Demjay · 17/11/2024 21:24

ThreeBootsOneGlove · 17/11/2024 18:36

@Demjay poor you, that sounds really unpleasant. Is there any correlation with having eaten particular foods?

I’m not sure. I think maybe dairy makes it worse, but that’s my vice 😬

Demjay · 17/11/2024 18:20

I took jab 4 yesterday and the sulphur burps are back 🤢🤢

If I remember correctly, we seem to be in synch with these! I had my third 2.5 dose yesterday and now the sulphur burps are back. They seem to last two days then go again! I notice they’re worse immediately after eating as just had an apple followed by them!

Stupidly I thought they just tasted of sulphur but I found out that they do in fact also smell like it (oh the shame!!!!).

Oh nooo. Thats going to make us really pleasant to be around 😆🫣. Sorry you have them too. Hopefully it passes quickly.

Odfod · 18/11/2024 07:20

Marking my place on this new thread.

I took my first 2.5 jab last night. Does that make me day 1 today?

Weighed in but too embarrassed to share. I disgust myself.

I'm hoping it has a positive impact on my pcos as well.

Nothing adverse to report yet. Not yet had breakfast but that's not unusual. I have a two hour workshop to facilitate this morning so will see how I feel after that.

evilharpy · 18/11/2024 07:22

My scales seem to have packed up! Not great timing, I'll have to see if I can get new ones in the sales.

I took my first jab last night. Nothing to report yet.

Demjay · 18/11/2024 07:22

Welcome aboard @Odfod !

ThreeBootsOneGlove · 18/11/2024 07:33

I had an uncomfortable evening. At about 5pm my stomach started gurgling alarmingly loudly. Then some intestinal discomfort. Then at 8ish the flatulence started, I say started because it went on for two hours. Oh my days. How is it possible for that much gas to accumulate? I wasn't 100% confident it was just gas, so had to go to the loo every time.

Luckily I was at home. I'm out this evening and tomorrow evening (hobby related) and can't afford for that to happen again.

The only new thing I had eaten was half of a supermarket Greek salad (bulgur wheat, whipped feta, 14g fat per portion) for lunch.

Hundredthmillionthdiet · 18/11/2024 07:56

W3 D3

Whatever you currently weigh, it's not disgusting. Everyone's more or less in the same boat here😘

MamaorBruh · 18/11/2024 08:05

TeenLifeMum · 17/11/2024 11:39

Hi, please can I join? After a year of weight loss attempts I’ve failed and hit obese. Picked up my pen yesterday and I’ve read the instructions. Once the dog moved from my lap I’ll attempted injection number 1. Feeling like I’ve failed (which I know is unhelpful and I wouldn’t judge anyone else so harshly).
sw 12st 9

Feels like heading towards Christmas might not be the best time but I can’t keep putting it off. Hoping this community can be an outlet as I can’t share in rl.

Being slim and healthy is so much better than stuffing yourself until you feel sick over xmas. You are missing nothing. Trust me. Congratulations 🎅

Gettingbysomehow · 18/11/2024 08:39

W1D3 3 lbs wasnt expecting that.

TeenLifeMum · 18/11/2024 08:51

Yesterday I ate healthily - veg and lean meat. I am usually an evening snacker so planned Greek yoghurt with chia seeds… but didn’t fancy anything. Going to have that for breakfast instead. I could go without eating all together but that’s not healthy so I’m going to be sensible and eat… plus lots of water.

Iamoldlol · 18/11/2024 08:59

Good morning and thanks for new thread. Took my 3rd 2.5 MJ yesterday. No side effects other than a near total disinterest in food, can’t believe it. I’m drinking loads of weak lime squash but always do as sitting at pc a lot. I lost 7lb first week and then 2lbs beginning of last week but no further change in scales yet, but 9lbs is great. Let’s see what happens this week. I do agree the pen is painless so please don’t anyone be worried.

getthosetitsup · 18/11/2024 09:02

Hi all. I'll be starting next week - I've delayed under after my birthday, only because it's a big one and I don't want to risk feeling crappy with any side effects on the day.

I've been prescribed MJ for diabetes and am thinking of it as one of my diabetes meds with weight loss being a happy consequence of my primary aim (lowering my HbA1c), so I won't be weighing daily or weekly. Most likely monthly.

I'm taking the time until I start the injections to plan and take in any tips to help. I spent a couple of hours yesterday adding loads of Fast 800 recipes to my Nutracheck app 😆

Welcome @Odfod Loving the positive pants idea!

@TeenLifeMum last week I moved out of morbidly obese to obese. One step at a time. Christmas is a brief period and I am looking at what I can do over a six month period. Look for NSV (non scale victories), the big one for me will be my wedding ring fitting again but will need a few NSV before then.

TeenLifeMum · 18/11/2024 09:18

@Pumpkinforever i think the issue with Christmas is the constant treat grazing… with no appetite I might be able to resist unlike previous years. I do feel positive and even in 24 hours feel less bloated.

MamaorBruh · 18/11/2024 09:23

Question - I've done my 3rd injection today but there was liquid on my thigh when I pulled the needle out. I injected slowly and counted to 5 (probably longer)
Has anyone had this?
