I'm wanting to move from Voy to Medexpress. It's asking me for a prescription. Is a screenshot of my previous order with Voy enough to send them? I don't have anything else. I've thrown away the packaging from my last order.

PinkArt · 28/11/2024 13:50

Happy Birthday @JasonTindallsTan 🥳
Birthdays are definitely days to just embrace the cake and Chinese. That's all part of a healthy approach to food

JasonTindallsTan · 28/11/2024 13:51

Thank you all!

@JasonTindallsTan Happy birthday!

TeenLifeMum · 28/11/2024 14:36

Happy birthday @JasonTindallsTan

just ordered pen number 2 - 5mg. Current 2.5g is working well so far but reading on here, that’s likely to reduce and I’m only on week 2. Definitely not affected how I feel about alcohol but I’m not a massive drinker. Nice to still enjoy a gin and lemonade. But, I have completely stepped away from Pepsimax and don’t miss it.

I’ve had good losses so far (early days) but I’m eating totally differently - smaller portions and less carbs, fruit instead of a chocolate bar etc. need to up my exercise and stop just making a monthly donation to the local gym. Plan for next week!

Is this the correct app for med express please?

Sorry I’ve only ordered from the desktop site not the app.

I’d stick with just the website. I can’t see any obvious mentions of an app on their website so better to be safe.

PinkArt · 28/11/2024 15:47

IHateMozzies · 25/11/2024 17:00

If anyone has ordered with MedExpress in the last 14 days, they will price match even if used a referral code. I got £24.99 credit on my account today.

Thank you for this. It took a couple of attempts but they're crediting me with £48.

These were always my last places to lose weight! I have to disagree this really is very new - in every weight loss attempt I made over decades I ALWAYS lost weight off my stomach first. Face was way after and my boobs never changed. It may of course be down to evil perimenopause rather than MJ to be fair!

My gifts of perimenopause, so far, have been a round apple stomach that I never have had in my life before, and weight that just won’t shift. Oh and terrible indigestion (in fairness, it was always much worse after scoffing half a pack of biscuits in the evening, which is clearly not going to benefit the aforementioned big stomach). Hope the new dose works well (with little or no side effects).

phyllidafosset · 28/11/2024 18:39

Mounjaropen · 28/11/2024 08:47

You’ve got this! Be kind to yourself. I know exactly what you mean though. For me it is really hard after menopause hit. There seems no rhyme or reason as to why the scales aren’t shifting despite eating well and exercising. I know it has taken a long time to get to the weight I’m at, so logically I’m not going to lose it in under a month. I also know when I was younger I would never have consumed as much wine or as many ‘treats’ in a single week as I did during my parenting and then caring for elderly parents years, so if I’m honest with myself it isn’t a mystery as to why my BMI was in the 30’s. MJ has helped me reset my mood, exercise, eating and drinking patterns to where they were in my 20’s and when I was a constant 9.5 stone. I’ve also realised I’ve been thinking about exercise more than I have about food 🤯I’ve also spent the evenings recently taking the time to do a proper self-care routine like I would’ve done pre children and I’ve spent the money I would’ve spent on booze over the past 4 weeks on a lovely massage/facial package.

Watching the results of poor lifestyle choices by my Parents has made me determined to be a spritely old lady wafting about in velvet looking fabulous, rather than being fat, miserable and infirm with only ‘David Dickinson’s real deal’ for entertainment!

This is such a fabulous mindset shift! I need to accept that I can no longer eat the sugar or quantity of food I used to. I need to get back to exercising, because I am totally at the use it or lose it forever age, but I am currently so busy at work I can’t. However I have made changes so I am hoping the new year will see both less weight and more mobility!!

PresidentBarklett · 28/11/2024 19:00

I'm nearing the end of my first week and starting to feel hungry again. But, honestly this has been a bloody revelation. Is this how normal people eat? I know so many people who find they are half a stone overweight, 'cut back' for a few weeks and lose it with ease. If they feel like MJ has made me feel, I kind of get it for the first time.

LindtCurves · 28/11/2024 19:06

StarShapedWindow · 28/11/2024 11:40

I was disappointed in my 2 pound a week weight loss. I’ve lost 2 pounds every week so far (into week 6 now) - reading about lots of people loosing 5 pounds plus was amazing - I couldn’t imagine such a big weight loss. But the way I see it is I’m very short and I have a small frame, my body really doesn’t need many calories so I guess I have to learn or retrain myself about how much food I actually need. Also I used to work for a diet company who were convinced on the weeks you didn’t see weight loss you could still loose inches - not sure if this is nonsense - I’m not organised enough to measure myself weekly.
I did try eating much less on the second week to see if I could speed things up but annoyingly I still lost 2 pounds.

2lb a week is an amazing weight loss though - you’d be happy achieving it on a diet and exercise regime, wouldn’t you?

Usually it’s said that any more than 1lb a week is too fast and not sustainable. Obviously seems a little different on MJ…

We also know scales lie sometimes, eg water retention.

IHateMozzies · 28/11/2024 19:19

4th injection yesterday and it went perfectly…no leakage or blood like the last 2 weeks. Wow I feel like it’s worked better than week 1.

I nearly forgot to eat lunch today. Picked at tea and a lot went in the bin!

I was thinking about moving up but but if I got this feeling again, I wouldn’t need to!

MonjaroMolly · 28/11/2024 20:14

TrinityWaves · 28/11/2024 12:17

I started yesterday (27th) - has anyone else lost their taste memory? So my normal default is craving junk food and mentally picturing the taste (and then eating it!) - this morning it's like I can't picture what chocolate etc actually tastes like anymore?

This is how I've been feeling - craving vegetables and not even fussed with the chocolate/treats that's been in the staff room which normally I would be dipping into! Hoping the ability to resist sticks around 😂

Exactly the same for me to, for the first time I had rumbly tummy noises and felt hungry today, I am W1 D6 so its injection day tomorrow, and I can't bloomin wait !! My husband is one of those annoying cut back people 😡just looks at a lettuce leaf and loses 3lb. Many times this week I have thought to myself "why the heck did i wait this long to do this ?"

Whattodowithaminute · 28/11/2024 21:25

W4D1
SW 91.4 kg
CW 86.7kg
GW 70kg

weight is coming off, today I hit a bmi of 30 hoping the next week will bring me to just ‘overweight’ rather than ‘obese’ managing to stick to healthy habits of breakfast, no cheese toastie lunches and no snacking. Suppression isn’t what it was so think I’ll be ready for the 5mg next week

Yup! My second jab tomorrow too! We've got this.

StarShapedWindow · 28/11/2024 21:40

@LindtCurves you're quite right, thank you. I have never stuck to a diet for 6 weeks before so MJ is a fantastic tool. It’ll be interesting to see if once we all come off MJ we no longer want to eat as much because we’re so used to eating less. Someone up thread said ‘this is the last time I’ll ever loose weight’ - I love that and find it a really exciting and positive outlook

JasonTindallsTan · 28/11/2024 21:42

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. I’ve had Chinese and a slice of cake and honestly I feel like I could vomit. I’ve taken jab number 3 and here’s hoping the next week will FINALLY see me down into the 15’s.
