Also well done on the loss! 👏👏

I decided to go to my local pharmacy to buy some insulin syringes in case I break my pen when trying for the golden dose. They were a bit bemused by my request and told me they don't sell them. I did explain what it was for. Are there any online sellers who sell a small amount of the syringes? I don't want to end up with a box of 100 😂

Thanks @phyllidafosset! We're both on the rehydration sachets and hopefully on the mend. It's awful trying to look after little ones when you're ill yourself. Changing her bed when she'd thrown up in it and trying not to do the same myself was a real low point.

On the plus side, I've lost 9lb since the start of the month and it's not all down to being ill!

Oh it’s just the worst redavocado 😢 been there so many times with our DC, one has really thick hair and having to scrape the chunks out (🤢) and bathe her at 2am is always a joy. Sending commiserations and well wishes for you all, hope you feel much better soon and very well done on the 9lbs, that’s amazing!

Hi LilyRose88 I did the same and ordered from a recommendation upthread - got both the needle tips that fit the MJ pen (in case one doesn’t prime, as I’m with Voy and they only send out 4 needles with the pen) and also insulin syringes - will just find and copy the links..

I got these MJ compatible needle tips ones from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CBN91WVT?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

more swabs: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09TM2VW26?ref_=pe_27063361_487360311_302_E_DDE_dt_1

and these syringes from UK Medi: https://ukmedi.co.uk/products/fms-micro-syringe-32g-8mm-05ml-fms-fms-32g05-ukmedi-co-uk

Not used any yet but good to have them when needed :)

Thanks, I've just ordered a pack of 10 syringes. Good to have a back-up if I end up breaking the pen when trying to get my 5th dose out. It's too expensive to waste!

MsRumpole · 25/11/2024 16:21

Second jab last night. Only got about 3 hours sleep and was absolutely shattered this morning so noticed a bit more food noise than usual. Huel for breakfast as I couldn't face trying to make proper food, and then at 2.30pm found myself really wanting a bun and latte. Was a bit downhearted but decided to go with it and it turns out that a cinnamon bun is way more than enough bread for this woman. As ever I slightly ran out of steam towards the end and am now completely full. Pre Mounjaro there is no way I'd have been able to last the day on a Huel and a bun. WHO AM I?

Good night's sleep tonight and a bit more functional tomorrow hopefully.

Della82 · 25/11/2024 15:27

all I can think about is eating some Brazil nuts. I have no idea why! I don’t need it. Have had 750kcals today, museli and yoghurt, soup and a bread roll.

w2 D5

work is boring today which is half the problem!

when people say food noise stops do they literally not think about food at all?

I still think about food but the other day dh left a kitkat wrapper on the shelf (about a metre from the bloody bin, but that aside) usually that would be enough for me to think “oooh kitkat…” and next thing I’d be eating one. It was noticeable to me that I thought “nope, don’t fancy one” which is so rare. Basically, usual prompts towards food are not having the same pull.

I eat my meals but I’m not snacking in between. Previously I ate healthily but then binged around the healthy eating.

No idea if that’s the same for everyone.

Della82 · 25/11/2024 16:52

@TeenLifeMum I’m definitely eating less and haven’t been snacking, but I still think about food most of the time, I was hoping that the thoughts would magically go away!

also love the fact that I’m not the only one who has to put other peoples wrappers in the bin 😂

I bought 20 of these www.shdmedical.co.uk/needles/bbraun-omnican-1ml-30g-syringe-individually-blister-packed/

If anyone has ordered with MedExpress in the last 14 days, they will price match even if used a referral code. I got £24.99 credit on my account today.

Thanks. So to be clear, you had a code for a 5mg order and they price matched it?

I have also had craving for nuts Della82 and have been having the odd handful. They are great source of protein though so think is fine to have them (just not a bag a day due to the calories)

I wouldn’t worry about the calories of nuts, lots of the calories aren’t actually calories and they’re not fattening but incredibly good for your gut and all the goodness will outweigh it. Give it a google…. Unless you’re talking honey roasted peanuts of course 😂😂😂

No I used a referral code to buy for £109 plus postage. I then saw it for £125 on here https://www.theprivatepharmacyclinic.co.uk. Sent them an email and they added £24.99 on my account. I believe it would be double that now, as they changed their terms the day after I ordered.

I used my last 2.5 last night and I’m hungry this evening for the first time. Not reeeally hungry, but there’s something there. I was going to use my bonus dose for week 5, but I don’t think I’ll be able to stretch out hunger for two weeks if I’m hungry a day after jabbing. So I’ll probably open my 5 pen next week, though it hasn’t arrived yet. I don’t think I’ll jump straight to 5 on it.

ThreeBootsOneGlove · 25/11/2024 17:34

W2 D5
I had noticeable appetite suppression in week 1 but in week 2 it's much less, to the extent that I've started to wonder if I did the second injection right.

With little appetite suppression at the moment, I've been using this opportunity to try to learn to listen to the signals my stomach is sending about hunger / satiety, and realising that I've not really been doing that pre-Mounjaro (possibly because I never stopped eating for long enough to actually experience proper hunger).

Definitely noticing actual hunger before meals this week, wanting larger portions, and there have also been a couple of times when I've craved high-sugar, high-fat foods (but had a protein shake or banana instead).

OMG I lost 13lb/ 6kg in my first week?! What?!

Granted some of it will be water retention weight, time of day etc etc, but never in a million years did I expect to hit that number!

W1D7
SW 89kg
CW 83kg
GW 79kg, then 69kg, then let’s see

Having a chicken omelette and a smoothie as a treat 😂

evilharpy · 25/11/2024 18:05

@LindtCurves that is amazing!! Can you feel it in your clothes being looser?

Actually weirdly I don’t feel any different! Really surprised to see that number… I do think it’s mostly water etc.

Dont think it’s even physically possible to lose this much in a week, I’d think anything over 1kg a week is a big weight loss.

S/W 16st7
C/W 15st8
G/W 11st (but would be happy anywhere under 12st!)

Jab 3 done this morning, appetite suppression has been strong since w1d1. I’ve had to remind myself to eat most days, and am now concentrating on trying to get two balanced, high protein meals a day. Have just ordered my 5mg pen to move up in a couple of weeks.

Am amazed at this magic - I have a bottle of wine that I opened over a week ago and have no desire to finish - this is basically unheard of! My husband picked me up a small dairy milk bar yesterday as a treat and I had one piece and left the rest - it’s sitting on the shelf in full view but I have no need to touch it. From someone who could easily polish off a large bar of chocolate/share bag in an evening, this is a revelation! Is this how skinny people feel?!

Congratulations everyone on the losses so far!!

Hi all,

anyone had any tummy pains at the top and sulphur burps? No symptoms until now, but really suffered today with pain.
