I’ve just ordered some insulin ones too in case the pen breaks and I need to draw up. Hoping the pen doesn’t break if I follow what the guy did on the video.

Some people are funny about Amazon but the brand company are the same and so long as you get sterile brand it is fine.

Loads of online pharmacy do them too.

JaroSally · 23/11/2024 22:46

I'm on my 2nd week day 4
I haven't been constipated but it's been 4 days since I went for a poo. I haven't felt like i have needed one so not really a problem i just wondered if this Is this normal?

Notadream · 23/11/2024 23:05

namechangedyetagain · 23/11/2024 08:13

Weekly weigh in today. Finally lost something! 3lbs! Though I have been ill this week and so didn't really eat for 2 days. So a total of 6lbs, with my 4th jab today. Really not as impressive as others and I was hoping for much more. Have just ordered my 5mg pen. Will use that next and see if that makes a difference. Else I'm not sure the financial cost is worth it.

6lb is brilliant I put on in WK3 and WK4 weigh in yesterday saw a gain so in total in the month i've only lost 2.5 lb. I couldn't face going up to a 5 pen for the next month due to how sick it makes me feel for the first 4 days of the week. Hoping to see some loss soon or i might give up.

MrsMcvities · 24/11/2024 00:12

Been lurking reading posts all week but just did my second jab, still had a needle freak out but I did it! I did feel a bit pants for a few days last week so hopefully better this week. I somehow managed to loose 2.8kg this week! Absolutely crazy, presuming it won’t stay with such a drop each week but let’s see. Sulphur burps were def the worst bit for me lol so grim

Whattodowithaminute · 24/11/2024 08:19

Well done @MrsMcvities , @Notadream what is your intake like? 2.5lbs is positive but I can see you are hoping for more.

second day I’ve woken up feeling nauseous, only change has been bread both Friday and Saturday (1slice) and of course the Vacherin… will have a clean, low carb day and see how I go, interesting that the nausea has given complete food suppression though, sometimes I’d try and eat my way out of feeling nauseous

evilharpy · 24/11/2024 08:32

W1 D7. I have lost around 7 or 8 lbs but not sure exactly as my scales packed up on day 1. It also means that the initial weight I provided when I ordered my first jab was way off and it will look like I've gained weight when I reorder.

The other way round but Mines going to look odd as well because I weighed at night after a weekend of eating fully clothed and I reckon it was a good 4lb over the weight it was showing the following morning! It'll look like I've lost loads and loads!!

November2024 · 24/11/2024 08:43

@Whattodowithaminute I feel the same way when I eat bread. Just been avoiding it.

Bellavida99 · 24/11/2024 09:10

Morning everyone. Just had my 2nd weigh in and done my 3rd injection. Lost 2kg over the 2 weeks but that was 1.5lg the 1st week and only half kg this week. I was definitely hungrier this week and not so much suppression but fingers crossed it works better this week but overall happy as no side effects. I ordered first pen from Med express with the £40 discount. Nobody has used my discount code so any tips on getting a god price when i order the 5mg please?

I asked them directly and they said they’d price match any online prescriber but no discount code if you are already a customer…

Odfod · 24/11/2024 09:20

Ooh that's good to know!

AllstarFacilier · 24/11/2024 09:21

I’m making a note of what I’m eating on 2.5mg, so that I can compare as I move up. What is everyone else eating?

I’m currently just above 15st and I’m only short at 5ft2. So I worked out my TDEE and took away 500, and I’m aiming for around 1450 cals per day. Some days I’m realising I’ve only had around 900cals, so I’ll eat a stick of kinder choc or a tunnocks teacakes to boost them a bit as I don’t want to go too low, but really I should be having fruit or a protein snack.

Through the week, I’m having cereal for breakfast (shreddies) with oat milk and a cuppa, so that’s less than 200 cal. Then I’m having half a tub of soup for lunch at 100 cal. On an evening, we use Gousto meals which make it easier for working out how many cals are in each. They tend to vary from 500-800 cals. I don’t feel hungry, but I do want to eat and don’t struggle with anything.

On a weekend, I struggle a bit more because of family routine like a takeaway on a Friday night and a Sunday roast dinner. I also hadn’t bought enough soup this week and so had sandwiches for lunch yesterday, which isn’t awful but is more cals than the soup. And then if my tea is more cals too, then it bumps my weekend intake up. I don’t snack like I used to on a weekend, but I’m just around the house and I think boredom did come into it. I maybe should have started my jabs before the weekend instead of on a Sunday night. I need to plan meals a bit better I think.

notmassif · 24/11/2024 09:45

@Bellavida99 - use this site to see a list of prices https://monj.co.uk/

MedExpress gets a lot of mentions in here however it's pot luck if someone uses your code and whilst the price match is good, it's off your next order.

I switched to IQ Doctor - they are the cheapest on that list and were as efficient as MedExpress.

However please NOTE you need your prescription so please take a photo of the box your pen comes in each time so you can provide proof along with photos.

TeenLifeMum · 24/11/2024 09:48

W1D7 jab day. Total loss 6lbs.

I definitely ate more yesterday and junk too which I’m annoyed let myself have a C small chocolate biscuit, 50g of mint choc chip ice cream and a packet of crisps. I don’t think I was even hungry, just home alone (dc in bed and dh out gigging) and bored.

side effects - last three days I’ve had constipation so need to drink more. I’m also exhausted to the point my eyes can’t say open in evenings. Hoping to find some energy as I’ve been less active than ever this week.

I eat an apple a day, lots of veg, pumpkin & sunflower seeds and drink plenty of liquids - water, tea. I also now take a couple of senna tablets if I haven’t 💩 for three days. I am starting week 4 Monday night and have found scoffing lots of veg improved possible constipation

They are doubling the difference in price as well

I wouldn't be cross with yourself for that. For me it feels like the aim is to reach a point where we are eating instinctively in a healthy way and 'treats' are a part of that. I want to be the healthy thinking person who happily enjoys one biscuit - not the unhealthy person who eats a packet but also not the unhealthy person who chastises themselves for one whole biscuit.

TeenLifeMum · 24/11/2024 12:09

@PinkArt I’m probably being unrealistic but I am trying to get to one treat a day, 2 max, but the size being smaller than previously. Also, no every day. I guess it’s reminded me how much mj is controlling my brain (in a good way).

MonjaroMolly · 24/11/2024 12:27

Hi everyone! Bit of a lurker here but wanted to start posting. Been reading all your stories since starting a couple of weeks ago. I'm due jab 3 today which I will do tonight as usual.

Weigh in this morning and I've lost 17lbs this week after a 12lb loss last week too! So amazed with the results so far. I know I'm getting some big losses because I have a LOT of weight to lose.

You're only a week in though and we aren't even on the therapeutic dose yet, so it's very early for a total reset. I think it'll come.
I tested myself with a chocolate orange yesterday as I'd normally binge a whole one in a sitting. I had 5 pieces, enjoyed them all and didn't feel short changed. That feels like eating behaviour that could further evolve well on my 'weight loss journey' 🤢

Caffeinequeen91 · 24/11/2024 13:01

Has anyone had headaches? This is only day 2 for me and my head feels like it will explode.

MsRumpole · 24/11/2024 13:03

I can't eat chocolate. Chocolate flavoured drinks are ok but the idea of biting into a piece of chocolate is pretty revolting and I cannot work out why. Sweet things need to be fruity, apparently. Long may it last!

PinkArt · 24/11/2024 13:19

I can only dream of such witchcraft, @MsRumpole!
