FYI my kidney infection was a long time ago when I was a teen and wasn’t diet related, but I hardly drank much water then so may have been a factor in getting the infection.

Me too. So cold my fingers went white with red tips. Hungry a fair bit now and counting the days until next jab. Thinking I’ll do it tomorrow, a day early as will need to do it on a Friday in the future. Have ordered the 5 and will hopefully be able to collect on Saturday though I’ll call again as last time there was a bit of a hiccup when the pharmacy denied having it at all and I had to get the ASDA mounjaro hotline to call them! I could eat soooooooooo many crisps right now.

Keep going OliviaFlaversham! Try to grab something with a bit of protein instead (I felt the same just now but went for a cracker with tuna and some apple with it) Same here with the cold, been having warm baths in the evenings just to warm up and wearing lots of layers, maybe it is adding to feelings of hunger being freezing. Hope you manage to pick up your next pen ok

Weigh in after week 1
MJ 2.5 ml
loss this week: 7lbs
total loss. 7lbs
lbs left to lose for target weight: 106lbs

I was pleasantly shocked at this as didn't expect to lose this much in the first week and haven't really felt much suppression but just trying to make better choices.
roll on week 2

TeenLifeMum · 22/11/2024 14:05

I’m a daily weightier as it keeps me focused. W1D6

SW (day mj ordered) - 12st 9
1st jab SW - 12st 5
CW - 11st 13
GW - 10st 4

I’m just sharing because I wanted to write down I’m in the 11s!

Well done @user1471453978 that’s a great week for you too.

evilharpy · 22/11/2024 15:22

@user1471453978 that's amazing!

W1 D6 I was slightly hungry at lunchtime but it passed when I didn't have time to stop work, and then I couldn't be arsed. Might as well hang on till dinner now.

Mounjaropen · 22/11/2024 15:42

rocketgal · 22/11/2024 07:39

Morning everyone, is anyone with Voy? I've just got an email to say my next order has been approved and when I've checked the app it's 5mg. Not sure if I want to jump up to that dose but then I don't feel the suppression is as good on week 3. I'm guessing I could contact them and ask to stay on 2.5? Anyone else been with them and what did you do? Thank you

I’m with med express and I’ve literally just got off the phone with them about going up to the next dose.

Their advice is that the next dose will help in the weight loss. Although I have excellent appetite suppression, I do feel that the weight loss has been quite slow given the amount of food I’ve consumed that exercise I’ve done so far I’ve lost around 8 to 9lbs And week four starts on Monday. I’m going to give it some consideration over the weekend but I think I will probably bite the bullet and go up to 5 mg. I am pretty terrified about giving myself side-effects, but then again I was pretty terrified about taking 2.5 mg!

In the meantime I’ve played tennis today for the first time in yonks and feel much much much Fitter than I have done in a long time. My Tennis coach asked me if I’ve lost weight 😊

Ggmores · 22/11/2024 15:49

Hi! I’ve just started on Mounjaro. I had my first dose on Wednesday and so far have no side effects. No hunger satiety either though! Yesterday I doing well with soup for lunch and a few giant buttons, but then I went out for dinner with some old friends and had multiple cocktails, then lots of wine with dinner, plus moules crème, a huge steak, chips, creamed spinach and bearnaise sauce, chocolate mousse birthday cake and lots of bread, butter and olives as our food took ages to arrive!

Have been snacking all day today, my husband bought florentines and I think I’ve single-handedly eaten the whole packet!!

ThreeBootsOneGlove · 22/11/2024 16:01

W2 D2
I don't have the extreme appetite suppression that I had this time last week, but there's definitely some there; I realised I had got to lunchtime without thinking about snacks, which wouldn't have happened pre-Mounjaro.

I'd like to try to log / track appetite somehow, as I think it might be helpful to see patterns and also to assess when to increase the dose.

WeakAsIAm · 22/11/2024 16:10

Well done all on your fabulous losses

W4 D3

I used my bonus dose to increase my week 4 dose to 3.75mg as I was getting hungry by W3 D5 and could've eaten lots more than i did.

So I haven't had any increased side facts from the higher dose, still have constipation occasional heartburn and had a headache the day after injection.

I did I now realise have a bit of insomnia as I was waking around 4am, tried the eat some nuts trick last night and it seems to have worked and slept through til my alarm this morning.

I have my 5mg in the fridge waiting but think I'll do a second week as 3.75mg then look to step up to 5mg on what will be my W6.

Loving all the support and tips on here, don't think i could've done it without you lot

UpToonGirl · 22/11/2024 16:15

Just done my last 2.5 injection today, I've lost around 5lbs in total which isn't great compared to some but honestly I'm just happy to see the numbers going in the right direction. I've done weeks of calorie deficit before with no movement so I'm happy. My DH is exactly a week behind me and he's only lost 3 which I'm surprised by as usually he can shift half a stone in ten days if he tries.

Currently got some cookies (my weakness) in the cupboard and I've not even really thought about them. Considered having one earlier with a cuppa but realised I didn't fancy it so just left it. Feels so weird to not be almost compelled into snacking.

Nervous about going up to 5 next week as I've not really had any bad side effects, I think if I'd have been losing weight a bit quicker I would have just stuck to 3.

Tigger83 · 22/11/2024 16:16

Urgh I've messed up my appetite suppression has been amazing up till now week 4 day 1 and I'm not feeling anywhere near the suppression as normal (which has been quite extreme!) anyway I'd already ordered 2.5mg as my next dose as I was feeling cocky now I don't think it's going to be enough! How do I step up to 3.75 using 2.5mg pens?!

Mounjaropen · 22/11/2024 18:09

Does anyone need a referral code for MedExpress? I have one I’m happy to share via PM. It’ll save £40 for a new customer to them on their first order.

BagQueenBee · 22/11/2024 18:11

Just done my very first MJ 2.5 injection, I have watched lots of videos and read a load of stuff….i was scared but did it, and I hardly felt anything.
Was scared of doing it wrong, but I’m sure it will get easier.

I have a lot of weight to lose but am so very excited to start and change my life.

Glad to be here and to have a place to share the journey……..done an online shop but difficult as not sure what I will be able to eat, concentrated on high fibre, protein, fruits and veggies…..the thing is I love the good stuff, but before now ate too much crap.

Another thing is I have a desk job so sit for 10 hours 4 days a week, going to aim to have small walks 15 min as also have knee injury so can’t push for now.

So far feeling great……so excited..

NoOneAtTheInn · 22/11/2024 18:13

Hey all
I'm on w1d6 and really struggling to eat much and also appear to have lost my taste buds a bit ... has that happened to anyone else?

I'm really not sure about injecting tomorrow as I feel my appetite is already so suppressed.

Hoping for a good loss though! But also time of month... typical

Carpedimum · 22/11/2024 18:35

I’m W1d3 and I’m floored by how much my normally huge appetite is suppressed. The food noise switch has been firmly turned to ‘off’ and I’m tracking calories in an effort to stay above a starvation level that would have a counter effect. I agree @NoOneAtTheInn it has also affected my taste, I love leeks but they tasted like soily nails to me last night. I’ve got Lipoedema and heard that it is best to stay on low doses for longer (no clue if there’s confirmed science behind that). I will see how I go, for now I am happy to not be craving food constantly but slightly concerned that I’ve swapped that for paranoia that I’m not eating enough.

Gettingbysomehow · 22/11/2024 18:41

Meh, I thought I'd stopped the nausea but one hour after my week 2 injection there it is like a bad smell.
I have learnt one thing though. Make a small dinner then freeze half of it. I think I can eat a small bowl of food but I cant.

Pumpkinforever · 22/11/2024 19:07

@IndigoHexagon mentally call it a stone 👏🏻 well done

JasonTindallsTan · 22/11/2024 19:08

I keep complaining that food is tasteless but no one else in the family agrees with me so maybe that’s an MJ thing 🤔

Ive only eaten two slices of toast and an Oreo biscuit today. I’m hungry now though. I need to food plan better.

NoOneAtTheInn · 22/11/2024 19:21

I'm exactly the same @Carpedimum. I didn't eat between 8pm last night and 1pm today and then only managed some cereal. Really worry if I jab again tomorrow I won't eat properly again next week.

@JasonTindallsTan exactly this. Have you just started week two, how were you feeling at end of week 1? Did the taste come back and go again or has it been gone the whole time?

Aside from this issue I am loving MJ genuinely. I have been reading loads and really feel positive it may reset some of my metabolism issues. I've been low cal low carb for years and just couldn't get things moving.

NoOneAtTheInn · 22/11/2024 19:22

Hey @TeenLifeMum amazing numbers! Fingers crossed for tomorrows WI.

AllstarFacilier · 22/11/2024 19:40

I’ve just been out for a huge meal for my daughters’ birthday meal. I was looking at how to be healthy with it and thought fuck it; if I start to feel like it’s a chore and I’m sacrificing things then it won’t last. So I feel stuffed now, but will be back to it tomorrow.

Did they explain why moving up would help the weight loss? Will it just create more suppression?

JasonTindallsTan · 22/11/2024 20:07

@NoOneAtTheInn yep, took second jag last night before bed. I was complaining steak last night was tasteless so it’s been constant throughout.

Mounjaropen · 22/11/2024 20:08

AllstarFacilier · 22/11/2024 19:58

Yes - exactly that. My choice to stay where I am if I want but the recommendation to increase weight loss via titration is to move up as directed.

I’m going to read other threads to give some consideration before ordering - but everyone reacts differently so how much help it’ll be is anyone’s guess!

I was wondering this too…
