@Demjay same here. The suppression in first two weeks was really good but feel like I've hit a brick wall in week 3 and definitely feel hungrier. I thought it was too good to be true 😂 am nervous about going up to 5mg though because of all the side effects I've read about on here. At the moment I'm definitely lacking in energy and feeling quite flat (do have a lot of personal stuff going on so could be that too) but physical side effects are ok

W2D1 - official week 1 loss was 4.5lbs, hurray! V pleased with that. I’ll take my new dose tonight when I get home. Shotsy kindly says I’m 12% of the way towards my goal, which sounds like a lot in just one week. I do expect it will slow down but it’s a nice starting boost.

On the downside I have toothache and I’m going to have to go to the dentist. I don’t want to tell him I’m on MJ, because he’s my uncle. Anyone have any idea how MJ interacts with dental anaesthesia?

I had some surgery on my face yesterday, local anaesthetic, and didn’t even think to mention. Probably should have!
Anyway, I don’t feel it made any difference if that helps?
Obviously this is not medical advice! Just anecdotal.

Just tell him. The information you give is private - he would be committing an offence to disclose it. It also isn't fair to not give him all of the information he needs to treat you safely.

I had to tell my beautician yesterday - she said most people were on it quietly ;-)

As it turned out he looked at the tooth, said it was only a tiny sliver that had come off and said he thought he could manage without anaesthetic if that was ok with me. So I just said that was fine and he carried on. It didn’t hurt so win-win.

Hi Everyone 👋
I'm late to the November party, but today I got my private prescription for MJ and will be taking the first dose tomorrow after I collect it from the pharmacy. Been lurking for a while around these WL forums but today was the day I decided to do something about it.

SW 170.0 lbs
CW 170.0 lbs
GW 140.0 lbs

Quick question ….I’m at end of week 2 and should in theory do injection 3 tonight but I’m still getting really good suppression so thinking to delay injection 3….maybe by a couple of days. What do others think? Yay or nay?

Gettingbysomehow · 21/11/2024 18:11

Wooh, end of week one injection and weigh in tomorrow. I can honestly say I havent felt hungry once. I was going to have a treat this evening but I didnt want one and I forgot to eat lunch today 😀

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 21/11/2024 18:39

Just took my second shot! I was starting to feel hungry - what with the tooth issue I had only had a small bowl of soup all day, and this was the first day all week that I was really starting to feel hunger. Topped up now so hopefully it will go away again.

Nay I’d say. The instructions with my pen gives advice about what to do if you miss a dose. I think the key is consistency,

I feel the same

Suppression was great weeks 1 and 2 but week 3 - not so much. W3D4 today and I've eaten lunch AND dinner tonight - plus some chocolates and a biscuit.
I'm away this weekend so whilst I'm glad that I'll probably be able to eat ok I'm also slightly disappointed at how much I've eaten today. Definitely about 1800 calories when I've been averaging 1000 - 1200.

Jellybaby30 · 21/11/2024 19:33

Love reading all these and feeling everyone here is in it together. Wk 3 day 6 here, def don't have the same suppression as Wk 1 and 2 but still turned off chocolate and carbs which I can't believe. I've lost 7kg but I gained a lot this year and still have 30kg to lose. Dithered about 5mg but have ordered it and Fri 29th, def worried about side effects. Was constipated but more water, daily kiwi and pear seem to be helping. Need to start serious walking next x

KentishMama · 21/11/2024 19:39

Joining in. I've just given myself my second injection, so I guess I'm Wk2 day 0? Or day 1? Not sure how to count, but doesn't matter.

I think I've lost about 2kg in the first week. I was surprisingly meh about food all week, and just had a little bit of nausea here and there. But it definitely wore off, I've been hungry all day today!

Question: If you have a private prescription (endocrinologist, I am insulin resistant due to cancer treatment) do you just take it to any local pharmacy and hope that they have MJ in stock? Do they usually have it? Or can you still use the online places and upload the prescription there?

I was thinking the same but I like to stick to routine so I didn’t! Reading the instructions you have 3 days to do it.

I would try a normal pharmacy first.

How much does it cost?

No idea what it costs at a pharmacy. That's partly why I'm wondering if I can use the online places - I can shop around for an offer that way. I bought the first pen in the somewhat fancy Harley Street Clinic that the endocrinologist works out of; it was just over £130 there and I think I could have saved a bit online.

IHateMozzies · 21/11/2024 19:52

I had spag bol for tea tonight and wow my tummy! Didn’t have a huge portion but my tummy feels like it’s going to explode!

I felt like this after having a chippy tea, hope it’s not diarrhoea in the morning. 😫

That’s not too bad. I paid £149 with Superdrug.

KentishMama · 21/11/2024 20:00

Damn. I misremembered. It was £152, just checked my credit card statement.

IHateMozzies · 21/11/2024 20:04

Just bought a 5mg with MedExpress and paid £113.98.

If you’ve ordered before I don’t think you can use it. I used a referral code for £40 off.

Hope you don’t mind me joining.

I’ve been reading the thread since its start and it inspired me to get going.

SW 90kg
GW 70kg
CW 87.7kg

W2D1 lost 2.3kg in week 1

I was wiped out on days 2 and 3 of W1 so hoping I will be less affected this week.
my only other side effect is itchy skin

I’ve loved reading everyone’s progress it’s been really helpful :-)
