Wk2D2 and I'm feeling pretty hungry today for the first time since I started which is odd. Didn't eat much yesterday and went for a two hour brisk walk so that may be why.
Carbs are the highway to fatness for me. God I love bread.

piscofrisco · 21/11/2024 10:55

Great work @JasonTindallsTan !

W2D1 - official week 1 loss was 4.5lbs, hurray! V pleased with that. I’ll take my new dose tonight when I get home. Shotsy kindly says I’m 12% of the way towards my goal, which sounds like a lot in just one week. I do expect it will slow down but it’s a nice starting boost.

On the downside I have toothache and I’m going to have to go to the dentist. I don’t want to tell him I’m on MJ, because he’s my uncle. Anyone have any idea how MJ interacts with dental anaesthesia?

Just tell him. The information you give is private - he would be committing an offence to disclose it. It also isn't fair to not give him all of the information he needs to treat you safely.

I had to tell my beautician yesterday - she said most people were on it quietly ;-)

For me personally I definitely feel like low carb is ‘the best’ approach for weight loss and management. Left to my own devices, I’m a complete carb addict and really struggle to moderate on them, constantly seeking the highs and they fill me briefly but I’m definitely looking to replenish on carbs within an hour.

I have eaten potatoes twice this week, in smaller portions as a treat for the first time in four weeks.

I’m on W4D4, did a weigh in this morning and officially lost a stone! Feeling very pleased with that.

I am experiencing constipation, which is not unusual when I’m on a diet/healthier eating. I picked up some laxido sachets yesterday and might use one today.

Welcome to all the new joiners, we have quite a few of us now! It’s really such a positive step that we’ve all made to prioritise ourselves and our health, I’m sure for a lot of us we’ve put our own needs to the back of the pile for some time ahead of making this step.

Awesome! well done!

JasonTindallsTan · 21/11/2024 09:19

Official first week weigh in 5.5lb off. Second injection tonight. I absolutely smashed a bowl of pasta last night so I’m definitely ready.

I’m back within 0.5lb of my lowest weight this year and I’m hopeful that next week I’ll get down into the next stone bracket for the first time in quite a while.

Awesome! I am looking forward to when my scales start with a 12. They haven't at all during any of the twenties 😱

TeenLifeMum · 21/11/2024 11:18

I always find I struggle to drop that first number on the scales. Once I topped 12st, it’s like there was a block to get under it. I’m hoping that by the end of week 2 I might start with 11… but I might be setting myself up for disappointment. It would mean 10lb loss.

Iamoldlol · 21/11/2024 11:36

Posting to say just weighed I’m on MJ, W3 D4 and have now lost another 2.5lbs so a loss of 11.5lbs since start. I’m enjoying this process but flounder a bit on what to eat. I know, how sad of me. I keep cheese slices, protein yogs, fruit. I have a protein shake if I feel like it, coffee and weak squash. An electrolyte tab w vit c, a psyllium husk tab every other day. I’m rubbish as live on my own at cooking so snacking has always been the problem. Eat out about twice a week w friends but leaving lots on plate - so not me. Not much exercise. I feel ok, have emailed a local nutritionist for a consult, but not got back to me yet. I’m wondering if it’s enough really to keep healthy, strange never much worried before.

Whattodowithaminute · 21/11/2024 12:09

W3 D1 and weigh in today,

SW 91.4 kg
CW 87.8 kg
GW 70 kg

down 1.2 kg this week and feeling positive.

Mounjaropen · 21/11/2024 15:05

Exercise done. I’ve done 50mins of walking at 3.5mph and a 6%incline and then a 30min sculpting/Pilates-style class followed by a dog walk. I have done my 10k steps for the day. I do feel much fitter.I’m off to play tennis tomorrow so will easily get my steps in there too. I’ve been avoiding playing for a bit because I felt so fat and sluggish- so whilst it’ll be cold, that’s also great for the calorie burn.

I’ve no one to bore in IRL about this so I’m sharing with my fellow weight loss buddies in my phone 😂

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 21/11/2024 15:06

Hi everyone, W3 D1, 9lbs off so far and was glad to jab last night, suppression is there but not as much as first week. Have enjoyed catching up with your posts while having a late lunch (tuna jacket, cucumber and tomatoes) am finding I can eat more than week 1 so chosing sensible portions and focusing on whole foods which does include some potato like today.

Right off for the school run now, arg the cold, the cold! 🥶 Was glad to hear it is going to warm up again at the weekend.

Have a good afternoon everyone and catch up with you later

Just one thing for the poster who got Laxido - you may need to experiment with how many sachets you need. I don’t find one sachet is quite enough for me and currently having 1.5 sachets daily, but sometimes up to 2 when needed.

Just tried a clear protein drink. Blimey, these are filling

Pumpkinforever · 21/11/2024 16:07

Bore away @Mounjaropen.
I love how we can we can all celebrate victories together and encourage each other to get over hurdles.

No way would I be chatting about constipation IRL 😂

Demjay · 21/11/2024 16:09

I’ve been so hungry the past 2 days 😭😭😭. I don’t know why. Maybe the cold? Anyone else?
Feeling fed up. Side effects are awful and I’m losing weight but I think it’s finally dawning on me just how much I have to lose before I’m actually going to feel good about myself again 😭. I know it’s a slow process, but I just want it to speed up 🙄😭. And I want to eat. Ridiculous I know.

Weird, I found exactly the same thing and there's absolutely no reason it should be different to any other weight. I hit the 12s during covid and have really struggled to get back into the 11s. I've finally done it after 3 weeks on MJ so there is hope!

Voy have just told me my 5mg pen has shipped so I'm hoping that doesn't bring horrendous side effects next week!

Me too Demjay! I think it is maybe a combo of the cold, monthly hormones and the suppression has diminished for me on 2.5mg. Food noise is there and feeling rather hungry 🫤. Sorry about the side effects, is anything helping? I have a lot to lose too. You know what though there’s plenty of scope to feel good about ourselves on the way down 🙂 little victories here and there we can celebrate, even small losses and NSV’s 🌸

Have spoken to Voy and got a 5mg pen coming for the next month. May do 3.75 as a bridge still but if suppression has totally gone by then might just go straight to the 5mg.

I haven’t kept up with the thread but I didn’t have a weight loss this week but my scales show two different weights!! I’m going the higher of the two so not to get my hopes up!

It was injection 3 yesterday, but I’ve ordered my next pen today. Superdrug only offered a 10% discount so I went with MedExpress this time. Was super easy to swap and I got approved in a few hours. I have another week on 2.5 and hopefully then the bonus before I use my next 5 pen.

Ive added my referral code to the thread if anyone needs it x

I had my first naughty treat on mj - haven’t fancied anything until today but went to Costa at work (in a hospital) and planned a black Americano… ended up with a Terry’s chocolate orange hot chocolate. I had skimmed milk and no cream (love the screens where you order so you don’t sound like a pretentious twit at the til reeling off what I want). It came with a chocolate orange segment.

30 minutes later I was on the loo but it was worth it. Just need to not let the creep set in.

I was out for lunch today and I'm out for dinner later. This is more food than I've eaten in a fortnight! I don't have the suppression that stops you eating mid meal but I have no hunger at all so I'm trying to psyche myself up for tonight.
