Well done @Paperwhite13 - seems like we started at similar weights too!

I'm hoping to do the same between now and Christmas and I'll be nearly 4st lighter!

Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday! Incredible to come home lighter too ❤️

NewLifter · 02/09/2024 09:03

Quick update from me! Was hungrier over the weekend than usual but not sure if it's just because of my period, because I was very active or because I need to increase dose! Also haven't weighed in for over a week - also due to having my period and feeling bloated. Waiting for that to go away first 😜

But! I wore an old pair of size 12 jeans last night so that's promising!

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 02/09/2024 10:57

🎉🎉🎉 I broke into the 102 barrier. I'm 102.95kg

I am so happy. I know it will yo-yo but knowing I've beaten that bottom barrier is a huge accomplishment for me.

Congrats to everyone else and @Newlifter size 12 jeans 👏 👏 👏 that must feel really good to slide into some 12s. I can't wait for the day.

Not a sausage, I’m still stuck waiting for my order to be prescribed. It’s SO annoying. At least I have my bonus dose left but I’m not impressed with them. I really hope you get yours soon @BellaCriesAndThatsAlright . Unless you have a Royal Mail email with a tracking number they shouldn’t have boxed it up yet 🤞

I ordered a second pen last night for my husband and it's now awaiting dispatch.

To be fair, it's more of a squeeze than a slide 😂 but thanks ❤️

Congratulations on breaking that barrier!

Paperwhite13 · 02/09/2024 13:05

Thanks @InspectorGidget ! Congrats on your holidays victories. That's the reason I started Mounjaro... I felt like I was missing out on a lot of things because of my weight. I'm so pleased you had a great holiday.

I'm still on 5mg too and hoping to stay on it for a while longer as I'm still losing on it.

I'm feeling slightly better today, thanks @NewLifter. And congrats on the NSV of fitting into old jeans!

Well done to everyone else who had scale victories today.

I’m exactly the same. I feel like a lit fuse and my rage goes from 0 to 60. I’ve never been like this in my life!

Started a thread a while ago about mood changes on Mounjaro but it didn’t get much traction, so I thought it must just be me..

@SnacklessWonder

Hi both!

I had very severe anxiety and MH concerns a while ago on MJ. I had to start taking meds I hadn't in a long time.

I wondered if it was missing dopamine from food (ADHD) or if I was in ADHD boredom, or if it was indeed the Mj.

I can confirm I've just realised it's gone! Now, I have moved house, and job in the last month 🤣. So of ADHD boredom, then that's cured haha.

I do think mj had a lot to do with it. I think it was 7.5 when it started. I'm now on my second 12.5.

So hang on in there if you can! It got better for me! And I agree, it's an unusual side effect.

Umeboshiune · 02/09/2024 13:30

Is Zava reorder working for anyone today? The questionnaire isn’t loading. I’ve messaged the team but curious to know if it’s just me.

@FlappyFish you are a huge inspiration! Amazing loss!

SilenceInside · 02/09/2024 14:17

@Umeboshiune I had a similar issue with Asda the last time I ordered. I had to use my partners phone to access the website and order, as it just wouldn't load on my phone or my laptop, whichever browser I used. Maybe try a device you haven't used before?

hoarahloux · 02/09/2024 14:20

Back to work today after the summer holidays and my colleague looked at me and said "Hoarah you've lost a lot of weight, it's a big change". That was encouraging after a few slow weeks

Ifyounevergiveup · 02/09/2024 14:56

@Jimmyneutronsforehead superb! What an achievement, and I’m glad I’ll be here to see it when you get into the 90’s, too! Brilliant!

Well done. How much do you have to lose before your colleagues notice as none of mine have so far! Or not commented at least.

ItsAlrightDarling · 02/09/2024 15:47

Someone just told me I was looking ‘trim’ on the school run!

BellaCriesAndThatsAlright · 02/09/2024 16:06

@hoarahloux That's fab. No one has noticed my weight loss yet.

KrankyKumquat · 02/09/2024 16:07

My neighbour just told me I'm looking very 'narrow' 😅

Belugaheights · 02/09/2024 16:29

I have lost just over 15% of my body weight and am now in a healthy BMI. No one at work has mentioned! Apparently people feel it’s rude to comment either way on someone’s weight now so they don’t.

Either that or I am still chubby 😂

20lbs or so. My clothes are a lot looser so inches coming off quicker than the pounds.

MountKilimounjaro · 02/09/2024 18:37

@Slimstar13 your post about 10mg was perfect timing, I really needed to hear that.

I'm on my second month of 10mg and have a had a bit of a bad week, was debating moving up to 12.5mg but having read your post I've decided to keep going at 10mg for now.

I have a long way to go still (3 stone down and 3 to go) so it makes sense not to rush upwards.

Choux · 02/09/2024 15:46

I'm down 40 pounds since last summer and almost no one has said anything.

I think maaaybe 2 people, possibly 3, who don't know I'm on mounjaro have said anything.

My mum has noticed but she knows so I am not sure that that counts 😅

I am choosing to tell myself that this is because everyone is just far too polite to comment on my weight, just as they didn't comment on my gaining weight. Tbh I am mainly glad because I hate lying and don't want to tell people.

I also stay exactly the same shape and just expand or contract by basically exactly the same amount in every dimension. It means I get away with weight gain but don't benefit (in appearance) as much from weight loss.

ItsAlrightDarling · 02/09/2024 19:22

I’ve had quite a few people comment on my weight loss, which I’m not actually a massive fan of. I find it awkward. Only DH knows about the MJ. Weirdly the only people close to me who haven’t commented are my parents.
I’ve lost 30lbs, but my starting BMI was ‘only’ 31 so I’m close to a healthy BMI now (1lb to go!)

Is anybody else feeling a bit stressed about the AIBU thread about what happens when you stop using weight loss medications? There are some really thoughtful posts, but lots of ones designed to scaremonger and judge.

Saw it, didn't engage.

This site is full of people who think that because they can survive on eating 500 calories a day everyone can. A lot of them have very unhealthy habits.

I'm sure by the time I come to come off it, long term maintenance doses will be recommended. I'm working on my diet. I'm eating whole foods and focussing on that. I know I'll be okay

TheRoseShaker · 02/09/2024 19:32

Hi all, I'm back from Spain, need to catch up on the thread, just came on to say I bloody left my pen out there didn't I! Only had two doses from it too, what an idiot 🤦🏼‍♀️ it's my mums place, she's going out there in October so now I'm going to have to come clean to her 🫣😅

The whole OP is a thinly disguised attempt at disparaging weight loss injections. Not worth reading.
