Bolt is £179 for 10mg. I use them and am very happy with them. They deliver fast and cold to me.

Afternoon All,

Well done on the losses, especially when it's holiday and BBQ season. Welcome to any newbies, wishing you a good journey on MJ.
I remain in the slow losers club, but at least I'm still a loser!
85.1kg this morning, 13kg loss in total, I reach my 6 month MJ milestone this Sunday. 85.0kg is my lowest weight to date, summer weekends caused a 1.5kg gain that has now shifted again.
Not really felt as much suppression this weekend, have definitely needed to think about my intake and to stop eating when I'm still hungry - had hoped to stay on 10mg but will see how I'm doing by the end of this pen. Am 1.6kg away from overweight - really really really want to stop being obese!

JamieFrasersSassenach · 19/08/2024 12:48

Has anyone given blood since starting on MJ? If so did you tell them about it? Thanks

I gave blood last Friday. I ticked the box on the form about other prescribed meds, we discussed it, the nurse was very interested. Said they get a few Wegovy users but she hadn't seen many Mounjaro users yet. I got to give blood.

JamieFrasersSassenach · 19/08/2024 13:03

Thanks @Choux - I felt I should be declaring it but wanted to make sure

Choux · 19/08/2024 13:35

To everyone: giving blood is a sure fire way to lose 1lb as the amount they take out is 470ml which weighs just over a pound!

They also encourage you to drink lots of water before and after which flushes out any salts and can help with weight loss

If you don't give blood already lease consider it.

Darlinghag · 19/08/2024 13:58

Afternoon folks.

i am now 17 hours post first dose and not feeling much change. I slept fine and the main symptom i seem to notice is that I am cold today - but that could be down to the change in weather!

i wasn’t hungry this morning but that’s sometimes the case - so not sure its down to the jab. I ate a little anyway, and will be sticking to be existing deficit calories - I am really keen to not step into restrictive behaviours beyond a reasonable 500 cal deficit (unless I am genuinely not hungry - if I am, I will eat my calories!). Lunch time, i felt hunger though!

i chose mounjaro to help me stick to my deficit - but i was also motivated by the slower digestive process side effect - I had my gallbladder removed 9 years ago and have suffered with dumping syndrome ever since - If it solves this problem for me I will absolutely be converted for forever hahaha! A few folks I have followed on tiktok have commented this has been the case for them - anyone else here?

Hi do bolt notify your gp if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks

Most of my diet is protein and veg, definitely getting enough protein in. No Need to worry about time of the month, I'm 58, had a surgical menopause 18 years ago.

If I eat more than 1000 cals I gain, that's what's got me to this weight. If nothing else I've begun to understand how my body functions, I can't now tolerate pasta, white bread, anything high fat. Have reduced my sugar intake to bare minimum and anything sweet now tastes awful, even yoghurt I'm finding too sweet.

Could be the weather, definitely feel a bit 'puffy'.

Have you tried to build muscle? That should help increase your metabolic rate. It won't help your weight decrease but should help your fat percentage decrease

SwimingSummer · 19/08/2024 14:09

@Darlinghag i don’t have a GB and I’ve felt better since being on MJ but I do avoid fatty & spicy foods plus can’t stomach wine at all sadly. My reflux is 90% improved and I’m off omaprazole

I tried Omeprazole and it didn’t really do much for me. Good to hear on the reflux - I don’t get a lot but its horrible when I do!

I do try to watch my fat intake, but my problems occur no matter what I eat - I have been managing being out and about with lopermide but it doesn’t always solve my problem, unless I am throwing them back like sweets.

If I can get to a place where I am not worrying about eating my lunch on a day out, I will be pleased!

SwimingSummer · 19/08/2024 14:32

Have you tried a food diary to find the triggers? I’ve gone gluten free in the last 12mths and it’s been a game changer for me. Took me ages to work out what was causing my diarrhoea

Currently desperately scrolling through Vinted to see if I can find my favourite winter coat on there but three sizes smaller. No success yet. 😭

Yes, my whole life has revolved around a food diary followed by elimination processes 😂 there is no rhyme or reason unfortunately.

I've put the heating on today! Not sure if it's MJ shivers or it's just quite cold here in the north...

I’ve decided that the north voted against having summers ever again while my back was turned

SwimingSummer · 19/08/2024 15:42

I do have socks and a jumper on and I’m way south there’s even rain forecast as we’ve not seen any for a.bit it So it’s probably both the storm in coming & MJ chills

I have given blood since being on MJ. I scheduled it for the day before my jab otherwise I think I would have felt worse. I drank a TON of water before and after and also made sure I had a meal just before and allowed myself a club orange afterwards. I definitely felt more tired than I usually do. I also failed the first iron test but then passed the second.
I declared the MJ and the nurse was super interested.
