Can someone please PM me. ZAVA code? I’m not a new customer. Thank you

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 20/08/2024 12:22

@MounjaroMunchie be very careful cooling and reheating rice if you do it. I had the worst food poisoning of my life from reheated rice! Too many surfaces for bacteria to live on apparently!

MounjaroMunchie · 20/08/2024 12:45

@IReallyNeedThisToWork Yep, me too - years ago now, but I've been super careful about it ever since. Definitely don't want to go through that again!

Time4changeagain · 20/08/2024 12:49

@DramMum
i think all the codes are for new customers, I haven’t seen any that are for returning customers. If you post your code on the discount code thread hopefully someone will use it and you will then receive the 15% off too

Hi everyone! I'm starting today and feeling a combination of excited and nervous.
My diet has gone a bit off the rails the last few months so I am excited to get some healthier eating habits but nervous about doing the first infection. I was on insulin in my first pregnancy because of gestational diabetes so I'm ok with injecting myself, thankfully. But I wasn't paying a large sum of money for the insulin so didn't matter if something went wrong. Once I get going, I'll feel better!

Happy to be a part of this supportive community 😊

Melty · 20/08/2024 13:00

Just had my diabetic monthly mounjaro review and am going to continue on 5mg. Happy enough with that.
Minimal side effects, and loosing weekly. Blood sugars steady. Less than 7 each morning but mostly between 5 and 6mmol. So as I was frequently having 10 to 11 mmol fasting numbers this is great.

However, I just rang my local Boots to see if it was in stock, she said no, but would order. Also said can't confirm when it will be in as its showing as Amber at the warehouse.
My next dose is due Friday night. I suppose I could take the "extra" dose if needed as I am going away Friday directly from work. Hope it won't be an issue.

Mounjarojourney · 20/08/2024 13:41

Hi All, I wonder if you can help me with some questions, please…

I’ve been on MJ for 17 weeks now am on 10 ml. I’m not a fast loser but that’s okay because it’s coming off slowly but surely. My questions are should I move up a dose as usual or stay on 10 ml? What’s the pros/cons of staying on the same dose longer to moving up?

Also, does anyone get the rage after their injection? The day of my injection I see red very quickly. It does die down but it is certainly noticeable.

Are you all very good about drinking water? Sometimes I wake up dehydrated and do worry about my kidneys shrivelling up (as well as worrying about my underactive thyroid).

Thanks for any help you can give. I’m 1lb away from the next stone bracket- yippee!

Pinkbendyman · 20/08/2024 14:08

@afinethingindeed welcome! It’s going to be one of the best decisions regarding your health that you’ve ever made!

@Mounjarojourney I started on 16th May, so almost 14 weeks and have gone up a strength every 5 weeks (including the bonus doses) We must have started about the same time! ☺️
I’m now on 10mg and have a 12.5mg pen ready in the fridge to move up to next.
I haven’t noticed any behaviour changes (should ask my other half that though!) but I’ve definitely noticed a massive decrease in any side effects compared to lower doses.

Pinkbendyman · 20/08/2024 14:10

@Mounjarojourney also got hypothyroidism - it’s been so hard to lose weight pre-MJ

QueenOfHiraeth · 20/08/2024 14:12

I've been bouncing around the 100kg point for 2 or 3 weeks but can't claim it's a stall as I've had a week of stress (lots of hospital visiting, eating on the hoof, etc) then a bit of normality followed by a week away with family so lots of eating out and treats we wouldn't normally have, although some of it will have been balanced by extra activity with the grandkids. It's a good job I wasn't posting on "What I eat in a day"! Grin
Hoping I can get back to normal and start losing again soon

Lastchancefatty · 20/08/2024 14:14

Since when do medexpress spam text? I have not even ordered from them, only did a consultation once. Gets right on my wick that. I'll not order from them at all now.

Aitchtee · 20/08/2024 14:17

WitchyBits · 20/08/2024 04:12

Trigger warning ( don't read ahead if queasy/delicate)

Over half way through week 2 and I'm sat up with the most horrific upset stomach ever. I swear to god right now I would 200% rather be fat than have to go through this for a second longer. It's been 9 hours of intense diarrhoea every few seconds and about an hour ago when I was convinced there was nothing left inside me, I started projectile vomiting. I don't know if it's the delayed stomach emptying thing or what? I would have bet my savings that I had nothing left inside me but boy was I wrong.

Funny enough after the first weeks brilliant loss, the last 4-5 days I've been gaining weight so this could be a digestive blockage that my body needed to clear out? Could also just be a stomach upset. Either way I never ever ever want to go through this again. Degree going to increase my fibre etc.

Word for word, I’ve had EXACTLY the same night as you. Horrific. I can’t even sip water.

I've never got a single text from them and I AM a customer LOL!

TBH, they're not bad...up until a couple of weeks back they even did fast deliveries! Now it's a bit slower for some, I think because they have more demand, but they are pretty lucrative...

  • You get £40 off your first order if you use a discount code
  • They have a price match promise, so any pen you find cheaper elsewhere they will price-match for you
  • They support maintenance once you reach healthy weight...
The one time I've had a real issue with them (or more accurately with Royal Mail), they did end up sending me a free replacement pen...Honestly, I've had my moments with them and being frustrated but overall...I can't fault them.
ItsAlrightDarling · 20/08/2024 14:30

I haven’t had any issues with MedExpress either and they’ve been helpful when I’ve emailed with queries. Even the week that they emailed saying there were delays my pen came within 48 hours of ordering. My ice pack has always been frozen on delivery too.

Pinkbendyman · 20/08/2024 14:40

Some of us were very excited about Oushks announcement at the end of the last thread (19) regarding maintenance plans.
I emailed them asking for more information (currently with Zava)

Thanks @Pinkbendyman. Yes, the struggle was hard before MJ with the hypothyroidism. I really feel like a new woman (not all down to MJ admittedly). I started on 22nd April so not much before you. Do you drink much water?

I've blocked and reported them.

BemusedBrenda · 20/08/2024 15:46

I had a delivery from Zava today and they have deifnitely upped their game in terms of packaging - it was well packed in a cool bag and cold to the touch. I know some people have had warm deliveries and my last delivery was not really cold, but it looks like they've improved.

Pinkbendyman · 20/08/2024 16:07

@Mounjarojourney I have 2 small cups of filter coffee when I wake up then during the day I drink at least 3 glasses of (sparkling) water a day but also drink endless cups of decaf tea. Judging by the number of times I need the loo,I’m thinking I’m definitely not dehydrated!

Sounds weird but I also check the colour of my urine (not after every wee though) It should be pale yellow not dark.

Mounjarojourney · 20/08/2024 16:21

Thanks @Pinkbendyman

Does anyone know where I can order extra 4mm or 5mm needle pen heads from please?

Ignore above - just seen it in the MJ newbies thread. Thx

Peggy148 · 20/08/2024 23:19

Good evening! Thank you SO MUCH to all the kind people who replied to me back in thread 15 and 16 about how to manage my family trip to Barcelona whilst keeping my pen/MJ a secret.

I didn’t take it with me in the end so did a super long 10 day gap between doses, it was very hot so I wasn’t massively hungry even towards the end (although I was hoovering up the snacks and chocolate, shamefully!) and I’ve stayed exactly the same weight!! Hurrah!! Hoping I don’t have a big fat backlash this week though…😬

I’m about to do my order for my next pen with MedExpress, moving up to 7.5mg - it took over a week last time for approval and delivery, is it getting any better recently?

Thank you all so much for being such a wonderful community and hype team xx

The short sightedness of people spamming their referral codes everywhere to try and get a free pen despite it clearly stating it shouldn't be published online.

I have benefitted from privately sharing my code but can understand the tight policing of this is needed - it could easily be twisted to an MLM model.

It's a fine line between inspiring people and selling to them I guess!

MooFroo · 21/08/2024 01:02

Little non scale victory - got into an old 40DD bra today instead of the 42 DD ones I’ve been wearing for years.

Was 191.1 today, started at 196lbs so have lost around 5lbs in the 3 weeks since starting so hoping the losses pick up a bit!
