@JaneFallow, hi there 😀

I feel your pain with regard to what will be left to tuck into pants going forward but I think good shapeware is our friend.

This article is a good explanation about visceral fat and large tummies and dodgy blood sugars.

Anyone ordered from MedExpress in the last few days? Wondered if they were still taking forever or are they back on track?!

Pinkbendyman · 18/08/2024 10:43

NSV - spent hours over the last couple of days going through my entire wardrobe.

So many of my clothes were huge on me, nearly all size 18 - I kept laughing with happiness ☺️

I’m spending today putting everything on Vinted and I’m going to use the money to treat myself (but only once I’ve reached my goal weight)

Okay, back to taking and uploading a gazillion pictures 🤣🤣

SnacklessWonder · 18/08/2024 11:23

Second jab of 2.5mg for me today. This week has been okay, no side effects, definitely loss of appetite but feeling hungry. Struggled to hit my 1200 calories but have planned out my food this week and will make more of an effort. Official weigh-in tomorrow to see what I've lost.

ItsAlrightDarling · 18/08/2024 11:25

NSV for me. 2 years ago DH bought me an expensive coat for my birthday and I’ve never been able to zip it up. Happened to glance at it in my wardrobe this morning so thought I’d give it a try and it fits!

Ordered last Saturday. Pen arrived Wednesday

SnacklessWonder · 18/08/2024 12:02

Question - I ordered my start 2.5mg through MedExpress. When I want to go up to 5mg do I have to go through all the assessment again?

Yes but it’s mostly filled out from your original answers. No more photos either.

SnacklessWonder · 18/08/2024 12:18

Ah okay, thanks @ThirdStorm

NewLifter · 18/08/2024 12:21

The good thing about the insurance of photos is that it forces you into taking 'before pics' ❤️

Fabulous 😍 those are the best kind of milestones!

Are there any problems with switching to one supplier and then going back to the original? I got my first pen from Zava but might try someone else next time if I can get it cheaper. If I then went back to Zava some weeks later, would it be an issue? Also, does it mean your GP gets bombarded with lots of medication notifications from different providers?

TheShellBeach · 18/08/2024 12:27

OMG the scales said 16st 1lb today.
It won't be long before they start with a 15!

Lots of people swap for each pen without any issues. I personally have stuck with Zava and purchased three pens so far. Need to make a decision soon on where I'm going for maintenance but I'm taking my time as only want to move once. Unfortunately Zava aren't doing maintenance.

weaseleyes · 18/08/2024 12:34

@NewLifter Thank you!

Sorry, I'm being annoying again with lots of separate messages, but trying to help fill this thread as people have already moved to the new one 🙈

Shouldn’t be an issue and they should be able to prescribe from the dose you’re on (not back from 2.5), you probably would need to send them photo of your latest pen (dose, date), and probably fill out their assessment questionnaire again

DreamingofGinoclock · 18/08/2024 13:10

Just done this week's injection (start of 2nd 5mg pen)

I realised something...just before injecting ...more often than not I end up with a bit of the medicine left behind on skin (first couple of times I worried about getting full dose...but as it has been working haven't worried since)

Today I realised it's more than likely the priming liquid from the priming 🙈 that is still on the outside of the needle ...so today after priming I shook it off and volia no medicine on skin afterwards

Thought I'd mention here if others have been worried that it's actually part of the dose!

I got 16 st 0.2 lbs this morning so understand your excitement.
Very exciting as I started at 18st 6
Not seen a weight of 15 something for about 8 years.
Bring on the 15s 😃

Well done!! 👏

There is something so magical about dropping into a new 'stone zone' - nearly there!!

JamieFrasersSassenach · 18/08/2024 13:42

Quick question with regard to the bonus dose - would anyone recommend drawing the liquid out with an insulin needle over the twist really hard method?

I'm due to take jab 4 this week and I'm thinking of taking it a day early and then doing the bonus jab after 6 days, then starting on 5mg at 7 day intervals again.

I am overthinking the hard twist and trying to decide which way to approach it?

Yes the syringe method is foolproof, it's the only way I've used as have seen people come unstuck with the hard twist method - pen breaks, plunger doesn't move down all the way, for example. Plus you can measure dose properly

Choux · 18/08/2024 14:01

I use a syringe as well. I think because of the shape of the pen you can't get it all out with the hard twist method. And I want every last drop of it!

Hello everyone,

I am an avid ready of this thread and think I joined in thread 2. @ObsidianTree it is thanks to you starting this thread and your and everyone else's inspiration that u started on MJ. I have lost 2 stone since 2nd April which I am happy with. I'm not sleeping well at all but that's something I can handle. Someone mentioned not having swollen and puffy ankles anymore and that's me too! I've just been in Spain in the 40 degree heat for 10 days and didn't have puffy legs and ankles once which has never happened before. I'm thrilled. I still felt very self conscious in my swimsuit, and kind of felt like I looked no different to when I was 2 stone heavier but I know that's in my head. I think I have about a stone more to lose to get me to a BMI of 23 but would also be happy if o didn't lose quite that much as all my clothes actually look nice now.

I am going to continue with 7.5mg as it's working well for me. The appetite suppression is high and I get a bit nauseous but so far I haven't been sick and don't want to push that by going up to 10mg.

I wondered if anyone had a Zava or any other code they might be able to share with me? I started with Voy so can't benefit from their codes h fortunately. Thanks in advance xxx
