hello I know there are a few threads in here in for this but would like to start a new thread, for people starting out!!

I have stage 4 endometriosis and have been slowly gaining weight over past few years. Have tried so many things to shift it, calorie counting, exercise, high protein, low carbs and I loose a few pounds but that’s it!

just taken my first dose of mounjaro and really hoping that it works for me!

anyone else just starting??? Anyone got any great motivation for those starting!!

Hey, I’m week 2 and just took my 2nd dose of mounjaro!

I’ve just ordered my first pen. Will be here tomorrow and starting on Sunday! Very nervous.

Jabbed myself this afternoon and now of course imagining all sorts of side effects!

I used ozempic back in 2022 when this stuff was less regulated and you could choose you initial dose

I chose the largest dose (idiot) and put it like this, I injected myself once and just the once. Was as sick as a dog

So im a bit apprehensive but fingers crossed.

I started 2 weeks ago and haven't noticed any changes. How are you getting on@GreyFinch ? Good luck @Belladonna432 and @fucknuggetsandchips !

I'm on day 6. It's wearing off today but staying strong until next jab on Friday morning. Lost 6lb so far with about 2.5-3 stone to lose.

Only bad side effects have been very painful trapped wind on day 2.

My losses have been slow and steady (to my disappointment) but it’s easy to compare against other’s big losses. I’ve felt less hungry physically but still have the food noise wanting to eat and I have to remind myself I’m physically not hungry. No side effects thankfully but grateful the scales are moving! I’m sticking with it as I have quite a lot to lose at 271lbs.

Im setting myself some non-weight goals such as fit into a lovely pair of trousers that I bought that I can’t even fasten. Trying to not focus on the scales as much

I have 2.5 stone to shift. I can maintain really well but yo-yo about 3 LbS and want to just drop them to give me the shift in the right direction. Worried about side effects.

I just order my first pen Monday with Voy and omg I’m not ordering from them again , they asked me 5 photos took over 2 days to aprove and still hasn’t been shipped . So disappointing as my period is due at the weekend and I wanted to true the first dose without being on my period as I normally feel awful already .

@fucknuggetsandchips I’ve maintained for years not really going up or down much and if I have motivation to lose weight it’s always a couple of pounds then I give up. I am probably looking at 8 or 9 stone loss unfortunately so it’s going to be a long road ahead of me!

I haven’t had any side affects at all, I do have IBS so frequently have cramps and regular toilet visits so unsure if that’s down to the IBS or the jab! I’ve unfortunately gotten to the point that I couldn’t carry on the way I am as my mental health has took such a beating. I haven’t told anyone I’m taking it either

I only had to send 1 photo in and it only took 3 days from ordering to being shipped, sorry you had a bad experience! Was the photo you sent initially not following their guidance on what they needed?

If you already feel poorly on your period would it not be worth taking it straight away and then any side effects you have are at a time when you’re already feeling poorly? Instead of being awful on your period and then potentially having side effects?

The first pic was exactly what they asked and my bmi is 35 so well above the weight but they requested a side pics and then the side pic I looked forward and they wanted a clean pic of my face too so send another photo , despite being the same room and the same clothes so the last time I ended up sending 2 other photos and finally got approved yesterday but still not send 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I was hoping to see some loss before my holiday in July , I’ve been on keto for over a month with minimal loss of 8 pounds , since I removed my gallbladder and turned 40 it’s so much harder to loose weight . I’m also getting married next year and wanted to loose as close to 5 stone ( 30 kg ) as I can .
So I’m feeling extremely frustrated at the moment and under pressure .

I took mine about lunchtime today and it was very scary! But couldn’t even feel the needle going in so really nothing to worry about!!

feeling ok now, but not hungry yet, felt alittle nauseous when I was driving but j agree @OwlWhereIsYourTowel , I’m probably imagining it! I was also abit naughty and have started on the 5mg, against the advice online. Hopefully it’s ok

have you been tracking weight @Tailfeather ? Fingers crossed it will start to work soon. Or when you go up a dose.

slow and steady is the way to go for sustainable weight loss @GreyFinch such a good idea focusing on other goals that arnt weight, as weight not shifting can be caused by so many different things. And can be demotivating.

@Anonymous2025 I ordered with Asda as I noted that Voy price went up a lot after the first month. And just wanted to be able to reorder with same company to keep it simple. But Asda needed 2 photos and took 2/3 days aswell. But after approval it still took 2 days to come. Was so frustrating!!! im sure now it’s been approved it won’t take long and you can get started!!!

Thanks . I honestly just want it to work so I’m eager to get started . I’m in no illusion that will be easy but I’m good with dieting and exercise at least 3 times a week ( cycling 8 miles ) , so I’m hopeful .
Can I ask you how you got endometriosis diagnosed? I’ve always thought I developed after my last c section but the gp had no interest

@Belladonna432 I was on Wegovy and lost 3 stone but then started having gallbladder attacks so came off it. I had my gallbladder removed last month, and then had complications, so just restarted, but thought I'd try Mounjaro this time. I haven't had the same instant appetite loss than I had on Wegovy. I hope it'll kick in when I go up a dose. 🤞

Oof Op! You're brave going straight in at 0.5 but I understand why. I was far too nervous after my Ozempic fail. Hopefully you'll hit the ground running tomorrow!

@Tailfeather what dosage are you on? Any side effects at all?

0.25. No side effects so far. But that also includes no appetite supression or weightliss. 🙁

I'm on day 2 & have only eaten one meal each day and feel totally stuffed.

I would like to loose 3 stone 5lb, which would get me down to 9 stone

@Tailfeather how disappointing. Maybe you need to be on the higher dose which I understand is considered the therapeutic dose

It’s week 3 for me tomorrow. Have to say I’m still as hungry as ever, still as much food noise.

I've ordered my first dose through Voy, can anyone tell me - is the packaging discreet? I don't really want the whole house to know!
