hello I know there are a few threads in here in for this but would like to start a new thread, for people starting out!!

I have stage 4 endometriosis and have been slowly gaining weight over past few years. Have tried so many things to shift it, calorie counting, exercise, high protein, low carbs and I loose a few pounds but that’s it!

just taken my first dose of mounjaro and really hoping that it works for me!

anyone else just starting??? Anyone got any great motivation for those starting!!

I am looking into starting this ! My bmi is 30, is that what it has to be to start ?!

Well I've ordered some. But Asda wanted a photo of me from the front aswell, anyone else had this ? I'm still waiting to hear back after I uploaded the second photo. The photos are fucking awful too. If anything it's made me realise I really do need to do something about my weight regardless. It's all on my stomach, I look like I'm either pregnant or have a beer belly.

@meteow yes I did similar photos for Asda, thank goodness that no one else will see them, they can stay buried in the Asda vault forever. It did also ram the point home to me that drastic action was needed.

Yep and feet on scales too. I think it's probable worthwhile to have a clear record of where I was starting from, if I want to ever look back and see progress.

Help! I’ve just done what I thought was my 4th dose on 2.5mg but I’ve still some left in the vial…I’m suspicious that I’ve not fully dosed myself one week, or is this what a finished vial looks like? what should I do?!
options are to use the remaining dose next week or Throw away and start next week on my new 5mg vial.
Argh really don’t know how this has happened but it might’ve been the first ever dose as I was a bit panicked and probably not concentrating as much as I should.
any advice would be great. (Pic so you see how much is left)

That's a pen after 4 doses. There will be liquid left over, that's spare to use when priming.

You can tell you've done 4 doses because the grey plunger is now at the 4th line marker on the side of the glass vial.

Pen is perfect.. means you have not wasted any priming.. there is always a bonus dose.. you can get 5 weeks out of a pen, and that's still in the 30 days..

Now either pop another needle on next week for a 5th 2.5 dose, which is what I did.. or you can syringe the liquid out and you will end up with about 3.75mg, which is a good bridge to move onto 5mg..

Either way, use it, don't waste it.

I think I’ll use it as it’s so expensive feels criminal to throw away.
Any idea where I can get spare needles from for the mournjaro pens?

Personally I'm not doing they syringe as I don't feel comfortable doing it, but I think it's easy.. the extra needles I just went into a chemist and asked, got a box of 100 for I think about £8 . They are universal so fit most pens . Just ask for the size that it says on your mounjaro, can't remember it off top of my head..

I’m not going to syringe not at all confident there, I’ll just inject the remainder next week.

Hi everyone, I had my very first injection at 9am on Friday. I have had a pain in my upper right abdomen area ever since. I feel so bloated. Is this normal? I don't have a gallbladder so hope this isn't going to effect me. I have no food noise and don't want to eat at all at the moment.

Yes this is quiet normal and will pass within 24 hours.
as you progress things do change and the syptoms become less and less

Starting weight was 13stone, height 167cm. (Age 37). I have been on Mounjaro since August - lost 1stone 5lbs so far. I can’t really excercise due to also having stage 4 endo, my hips seize up. I’ve been having regular scans for a year due to ivf and I'm under hospital gynaecology care now to have it removed so have had recent scans and MRIs. The only side effect I had was the day after the first injection (muscle pain) and I’m up to 7.5mg now. First month was good - lost half a stone. I had awful indigestion on 5mg and didn’t really loose any weight. Now on 7.5mg and it seems to be coming off. Back to the scans - no noticeable difference in the endo on the scans but I feel that the injections help somewhat with the pain and mood swings- my partner says I’m more cuddly (got to be a bonus for a long term relationship struggling with all the emotions of not being to conceive). Current weight in Nov 11stone 11lbs.

I started on 24th October weighing in at just under 14 stone, went on MK, initial loss was 9 pounds first week but then slowed down to 1 pound a week, This morning I weighed 10 stone 11 so that is a total loss of 3 stone in 6 months, or half a stone a month, I still have a couple of stone to go as only 5ft 3. I am also type 2 diabetic with high cholesterol. I find the injection combined with a high protein diet has helped massively and I no longer am considered diabetic or even pre diabetic, but scared to stop having them when the time comes.
