Storms a coming!

Lightening map shows a huge storm in the south west heading central England. Is anyone experiencing it? Please send it up to me 😁

Google still insisting it’s not going to rain today! Meanwhile SE London there’s a glorious storm!

Hit SW London about 20 mins ago with the loudest thunderclap and so much lightening! DD and DH obviously sleeping through it while the cats & I watch out of the window.

South West London here - my gosh I don’t think I’ve experienced a storm like it!

I think we must just be catching the edge of it here in Kent. Thunder is rumbling, but not crashing overhead.

I'm reading downstairs. I haven't got to get up for anything in the morning so can go back to bed and sleep late if I want to.

Deafening thunder woke me up @ 3:48. Torrential rain and T&L still relentless but a bit further away now…SE Londonish!

Also in London. Urgh I HATE thunderstorms. How long do they take to pass over?

Lightning and rain in south Essex. Not much thunder weirdly, guess we’re on the edge.

And just like that, it stopped! I can hear the thunder in the distance but I think it’s passed.

It’s passing over South West London and hell it’s angry!!! Lots and lots of lightning, torrential rain and angry crashes.

Still going strong in London. I’ve never seen lightning like this in all my years.
It’s every 10 seconds, interspersed with thunder.

Seems to have calmed right down (south west london). Been awake for around an hour - the thunder was very scary. Can hear faint rumbles and light rain now. Wow! Was not expecting that!

Just posting from SE London as been awake for about 30 minutes now it’s still really close by. Had to run around making sure all the windows were properly shut! It’s quite scary

Glad I shut my kitchen velux in the evening…..I hate leaving them open while out / at night just in case……

Every time I think it’s moved on, there’s another faint flash or rumble.

Thunder and birdsong….

Surrey - its happening now - the thunder and lightening have woken me up !

South east London and wow, it’s so intense! Expecting floods with this intensity. Gosh with the lack of sleep tomorrows going to be interesting

Yes another one in SE London here. I couldn’t resist getting up and sitting by the window for a while. Not seen a storm like it in years. It’s crazy!

Yup, it’s hit south London. I’ve got to leave the house for work at 7am. It has better have buggered off by then.

The BBC still isn’t showing it on the forecast. Do you think the temperature predictions might not be quite right?

My wish was granted. Any chance this might mean cooler weather tomorrow?
