I despair

LovelyIssues · 06/01/2022 14:14

Well that mild weather swiftly ended Sad

Cocoabutterformula · 06/01/2022 16:51

Oh well then that's ok isn't if it's turned cold again for 48 hours Hmm

KangSaeByeok · 07/01/2022 08:24

Phew. It's cold again, climate change isn't a thing! EVERYTHING IS NORMAL GUYS

AutumnAlmanack · 07/01/2022 19:43

It's just normal weather. It gets cold, it gets warner, it rains, sometimes it snows, sometimes it is frosty. Stop worrying - it won't affect us!

KangSaeByeok · 07/01/2022 20:53

Long as you're alright eh @AutumnAlmanack?

Take it your 'us' doesn't include the brown kids in the global South. FFS🙄

It won't affect you - you sure about that? Have you considered what would happen the UK if the gulf stream stops?
CrankyFrankie · 07/01/2022 22:13

Er yes it will @AutumnAlmanack. Flooding etc aside, how does 150-200 million climate refugees by 2050 sound? Because that is what the UNCC projects. For comparison, the Syrian refugee crisis was ~6 million.

You don't get the difference between WEATHER and CLIMATE, do you. And who's 'us'? It's already affecting me.
FindingMeno · 07/01/2022 22:45

I've seen a couple of wasps in the last fortnight.

CrankyFrankie · 08/01/2022 10:22

Also @AutumnAlmanack might be worth considering (presumably) living in the UK, a small island nation heavily reliant on food imports, and how global food scarcity will affect ‘us’ then.

saltedBubbly · 09/01/2022 00:52

It will be fine, nothing to see here, don't look up. It won't affect us...

Our grandchildren on the other hand...

KangSaeByeok · 15/01/2022 13:34

Oh look, it turns out it's not normal weather after all.

Is anyone else freaked out
