Parttime That sounds interesting, a casserole with avocado in it! Was it cooked? It's annoying, I like avoes but they give dh the gyp so I don't buy them!

B. Finished prune/pear smoothie with figs and walnuts.
L. Slices of new rye loaf with the kale/garlic mix and my spreads and salad. Choc.
S. Bowl of porridge with mix seeds and molasses

B - toast with naturli spread, green smoothie
L - Nakd bar
D - stir fry with tofu & rice noodles

B: porridge with sultanas and seeds
L: sweet and sour tofu with rice
D: 3 Richmond sausages with loads of veg (roast butternut and carrot, buttered leeks and steamed spring greens). And gravy (obvs)

@ppeatfruit - it was a baked rice really, with the avocado and other things served on the side (think burrito filling in a bowl with all the Tex mex extras 😂) I think maybe in the US it's called a casserole if it's cooked in the oven (@Citygirlrurallife?)

Avocados keep well in the fridge when they're ripe, and even for a day or so when they've been halved (just keep the stone in and keep well covered in the fridge). I'd still buy them sometimes even if nobody else in the family did

ppeatfruit · 25/01/2023 08:46

Sounds nice Domestic City I did used to buy avoes anyway but noticed they bloated me. At my age a lot of foods give me odd effects that never used to!
B. Lemon,apple\apple juice, ground pumpkin seeds, fresh ginger smoothie
L. Steamed spinach, shallot with turmeric scrambled tofu and mushrooms. Choc.
S. Rye toast with my fave spreads and shallot salad

Yeah @PartTimeDomesticGoddess and @ppeatfruit Americans call baked dishes usually involving rice or pasta a casserole, not at all the same as our version of a casserole

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 25/01/2023 21:05

Hi nice to hear from you Pauline and vince (smile) those noodles sound unusual I've not heard of them before.

Citygirlrurallife · 28/01/2023 08:22

Yesterday:
L: creamy smoothie (bought rather than made, stuff like dates and almond butter and maca powder rather than fruit based)
S: tomato soup
D: chip shop chips, dark chocolate, red wine

can you tell it’s that time of the month? 😂

ppeatfruit · 28/01/2023 11:17

(smile) City I'm glad not to have that problem! That smoothie sounds unusual for a bought one (I find the bought fruit ones not fresh enough).

B. Prune smoothie
