I am currently reading Russsll Myers Catherine & William. Enjoying it but one thing that stands out is how the Middletons have never put a foot wrong.
Carole was not from an aristocratic background nor was Michael but they raised their kids not to put a step wrong. Kate also had embarrassing family members (Uncle Gary) but she still invited him to the wedding which was the right thing to do & it nipped the media scandal in the bud & took the wind out of any sails.. Meghan invited none of her extended family or her dad & it caused massive media speculation.
Kate was born for royal life & is a natural. Very proud of our future queen. Her parents did an amazing job.

So what if he paid thousands, she was the child, he was her parent and the grown up. My kids fathers have both paid for them, it doesn’t make them great men or entitle them to anything.

FFS paying and good parenting isn’t the same thing. You have some very dysfunctional views.

I’m just pleased William was allowed to find a mate for himself rather than Charles who had, in essence, an arranged marriage which just didn’t work! I think he allowed William to find his own way with love and that’s the best way. Thenmiddletons are just a pretty decent hardworking middle class family who did well for themselves. Good for them!

Look at the way she has treated her family especially her father... she is no role model for my children!
Look at the way Ham have treated their own children, moving them accross to start at a new school & pulling them out after two days!

Please read your posts. The first few were sycophantic adoration of Kate, then you couldn't resist dragging "Mrs Ham" (your words) into the conversation saying she was bullying and Kate knew

It is truly nauseating.

I don’t get the mindless adoration of the Royal family and in particular Kate/Catherine.

I’m sure that she is a perfectly nice person, and she is a good fit for the role.

But the role is mainly to turn up at places liking polished, smiling and waving, never having any opinions and generally just being very bland. She looks like she probably has an eating disorder, although it could be crohns. There are rumours that William had an affair. They are mainly living off taxpayers money for doing very little in the grand scheme of things.

I just don’t see why they are people to be admired and adored. There are many more talented people, people doing great work and keeping the country going. Yet people idolise figureheads.

The hatred towards M&H is utterly deranged. Meghan is probably a diva and Harry a very damaged man from his dysfunctional upbringing. They have made fools of themselves but they don’t deserve the hatred and I do believe that they were probably given bad press down to W&K feeling threatened by them initially as they were once very popular next to bland boring K&W.

Ultimately Kate has done nothing wrong but also nothing worthy f being so adored.

They are very popular with the British public. That makes them an asset.

Yep. It was always destined to be. Even supporters don't have much to say about Catherine. Even media articles about Catherine always mention Meghan to try and generate reader interest.

Catherine has never had a proper job in her life. She went straight from university to belt in the Royal family. We know very little about her really.

As for Meghan, she fell out with her father after he went to the press, and he and her step siblings did nothing but go to the press. Which in itself is horrible.

Families fall out, we the public will never really know the full truth about any of it.

The fact that people act as though they actually know these people personally is mental.

They both worked in aviation, these people are strong and hard working and taught to 'keep up appearances'.

But I am sure that there was also a LOT to learn about being a royal for Catherine.

The children are adorable, but I don't think they should be in the public eye so much.

Kate is perfectly acceptable, she is the ideal 'have no opinion' royal trophy wife. She might be thoroughly nice, who knows, there is a way for her to be portrayed by the media, and they fall into line with that.

Of COURSE Meghan was never going to fit in! She is not what they want within the royal family for a myriad of reasons. I think they have been treated abominably at certain times and have become the proverbial punch bag. Very many people make a hell of a lot of money disparaging them. Of course they don't help themselves at times, but reporting on them is so skewed. Meghan was blamed for an nasty mum selling screenshots of a mums group school WhatsApp to the Sun!

Their teen and pre teen are in boarding school. The youngest has a nanny.

They have servants, they don’t do much work.

Can anyone tell us what they actually do that’s so valuable and worthwhile? Most of us out here are working in full time jobs as well as bringing up our families, doing all our own housework and ferrying our own children around without drivers and convoys. All while doing essential jobs to actually keep the country running and paying tax to keep the Royal family on their positions.

But what about Doria's family?!! They also spoke out about their confusion about not being invited to the wedding.. The niece that she was apparently very close to got no invite.. yet she invites the Clooneys who she never met!
You can't defend the indefensible, actions speak louder than words.
Poor A&L now have no relationship with their extended family either thanks the Hams actions.. and so the cycle continues. It's very sad.

And I’m not a H&M fan. I think their behaviour at times has been ill judged and done themselves no favours. They were very popular at first and have made themselves looked spoiled if not deranged.

However there probably is some truth in some of their complaints and ultimately the hate and constant comparing Meghan with Kate is even more deranged and childish from grown adults.

Usually if I dislike a celebrity/famous person that must I try to just avoid them.

I actually read people on here saying how H&M are not welcome in this country. As though it effects them personally.
