Yes

When he first moved to the US he was commanding about $500,000- 1 million for a speech at a JP Morgan conference in 2020. However the rumours were that it was disappointing - they expected Harry to talk about business related subjects - perhaps sustainability as he had just started Travalyst - but what they got was the usual nonsense about his sad life as a Prince in a Palace and being son of Diana.

Most recently he was paid around $40,000-50,000 to speak at a convention for Estate Agents but it was half empty as they couldn't sell tickets,

Oh dear. Very telling.

I know why Meghan has been missing, she’s training for attempting the three peaks challenge! Anything Catherine can do…..
BTW she should be ok after she is a seasoned social climber!

Surely Meghan would find a fourth peak, anything to outdo Catherine!

The Times is now reporting that Uganda have pulled out of Invictus.
https://www.thetimes.com/uk/royal-family/article/uganda-pulls-out-invictus-games-harry-meghan-pqk78s35s

It’s going to be awkward as well including the IDF given the government’s stance on Israeli Settlers…

Chrysanthemumsinpots · 09/09/2026 12:14

Without wanting to be critical of Megan on this point, age counts strongly against her. All women have a tendency to become invisible when they reach middle age and very few manage to sell themselves on their looks at that point. This would have hit her acting in America too if she had sustained that career. Some do manage to have a second wind as ‘glamorous old women’ but middle age and menopause hits hard.

Edited to make clear I don’t mean women over 40 can’t be glamorous, professionally successful etc. I am talking commercially in terms of selling yourself as a celebrity.

AgnesX · 09/09/2026 12:14

I'm very late to this party so apologies if these are stupid questions. The implication seems to be that H&M have returned to take up where they left off. Did H's reunion with KC give him the idea that this would actually happen or are they taking liberties? Or are they here, waiting for KC to snuff it? Not least what are William's thoughts (apart from "over my dead body" perhaps)?

I suppose that's a seperate issue. Plus Israelis get conscripted, whatever their political views, they end up in the army.

They absolutely were going to do that. Behave as royals but doing their own thing. Now there's a spanner in the works. I think there could be a compromise re security and the children will be given security. Which I could understand as they've not asked for this mess created by their parents.

Why can't they just pay for private security guards?

Most celebrity kids manage fine with bodyguards paid by their parents - although most parents don't publicize their itinerary the way that HAM does.

Working royals don't get full time security

Because they want the taxpayer to fund it.
Entitlement writ large.
Why on earth anyone who is republican supports them is absolutely baffling.

I like that table of subtlety. All noted.

Gosh, I am a thicky thicky dum dum - I never noticed the name figurations! I'm on the lookout now 😊

No not at all life you’re not dumb! Not at all!!

My original username from 25 years ago was same configuration. So it’s not always to do with trolls!! And I think my last month’s username was the same too.

Anyway, Dear Catherine / Your Highness / Kate / POWess.

Now that the kids are back in school and W is in Oslo, I hope you’re wrapped in a fluffy dressing gown on the sofa in comfy slippers and sipping a chamomile tea.

While you contribute to this thread under your secret name, maybe you, Camilla, Sophie, Zara too, Aunty Anne when she gets back from Oslo.

Yes I agree. I meant more it’s yet another controversy in and around something involving the Sussexes 🤷‍♀️

Lunde · 09/09/2026 12:19

At this stage HAM are more like Reality TV stars than public figures - especially their eagerness to instigate online spats and clapbacks! 🙄

Because they want the whole show. Ages ago they said they were IPP's International protected people. (Not International Pesky Pains) They want the state provided security. It will open doors and enhance their status. And private security can't carry guns.

IPP is limited by international treaty as it puts obligations on other countries. It is impossible that he would get that as no country is going to agree to expand their obligations to wider families of other countries’ heads of state.

jeffgoldblum · 09/09/2026 12:30

So Uganda has pulled out of invictus because they don’t like hams shenanigans and won’t participate in anything which disrespects the king! , well i must admit this wasn’t on my bingo card!!
I have a bad feeling that the blame is going to land on William somehow?! , more proof for supporters that he’s trying to sabotage them! 😬

I don't believe for one second he ever got anything close to that amount of money. Not even the likes of Bill Clinton or Obama get that. If he was lucky, he might have got a tenth that amount.

It won’t be just about any respect Ugandans may have for the King. It will also represent an attitude regarding respect for any leader - including the leader of Uganda.
