Yes, also with Camilla and DV, and Sophie highlighting women and girls who are victims of sexual violence eg in Sudan.
Genuine commitments, not click driven.

The other thing with these causes is they weren’t fashionable when they got involved. H&M prefer causes that are already fashionable.

Oh yes!!
YES. I would tune in for that -but obviously wouldn’t buy anything like the vast majority of viewers I suspect.

Joking aside! , I really liked the look of and wanted the “wisecrack egg peeler “ , unfortunately despite hours of searching it doesn’t actually exist!!! Booooo!

Listening to Robert Hardman. He claimed that HAM had contacted high profile charities and hospitals announcing they would be visiting (no invitation btw). These charities/ hospital boards contacted palace for clarification.

Clearly, they were setting up a rival court in UK

Yes this is what I suggested earlier that must have triggered the letter required due to the numerous enquiries BP has had. I suggest this was also a problem in July when PH extended his private existing small scale charity visits to the NHS and had planned to bring MM along (cookie cutter of the Australian trip) - I don’t want precious and finite NHS resources (people, logistics, time, money) diverted from a creaking system to line the pockets of these two grifting, grasping, grandiose bullys. Also it’s vile to coerce vulnerable ill parents and children on the spot to facilitate their delusions.

Keep away from rinsing our underfunded public services their scant resources people / time / logistics / money are needed for the waiting list of the chronically ill and dying - not disrupted and diverted to these two.

Ah, and I wonder if ‘HRH’ was being used in these announcements of hospital visits?

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to inform the Board of St Custard’s Infirmary that they shall be visiting your establishment on the 15th September at 10am. Please follow normal royal protocol and security measures and provide a meet & greet photo opportunity with suitable patients, preferably bald children. We request that our principals’ expenses are processed within 7 working days (to follow).’

Sounds extremely likely autumn ! If it’s needed to announce Meghan to an empty room or to deliver an ice cream to her friends….it’s obviously an important issue for them!

It's also worth remembering that Diana proved to be a bit of a loose cannon in her final years, in terms of her humanitarian "work". Perhaps that's what they are desperate to avoid a second time round. Charles will remember this all too well.

Re security, former PMs and Harry etc..

I don't know whether H has a case or not (that's for RAVEC) but some of the claims why PMs need CP are a bit out there.

Just like most secure systems "Codes" for nukes (if such exists, even if UK even uses them) will be changed on a regular basis, and I'd put money on that happening certainly when a PM changes. In general the PM will be subject to need to know just like anyone else.

FWIW there will be some junior and senior officers and junior officials round with State Secrets in their heads that are just as important as anything a PM carries around....and they don't get protection.

I suspect the main reason PMs get CP is because of their profile and history, not because of secrets they may know.

Maybe Harry has also had the briefing about the existence of the ministry of magic so needs protection.

@AutumnCrowInAbeyanceIt’s like the progresses of Queen Elizabeth the first and monarchs in days of yore, when the cost of a royal visit nearly bankrupted the unlucky recipients.

No. Just no thanks.

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 09/09/2026 11:36

@jeffgoldblum Except there is NO hospital that provides security measures for ANY royal visit. Neither would they host without the Lord Lieutenants office being involved. This is why clarification was needed. There are no informal channels for “Royal” visits and everyone has been reminded of who represents the RF, and who does not.

I agree with much of what you're saying but with regard to KC3's statement, I think you may feel underwhelmed by it partly because you're taking it at face value and not reading between the lines.

For example, to take your point about "grifter getaways', the statement says that any
questions from organisations about the reception to be given to the Sussexes:

"particularly where recourse to public funds may be required, should be directed to Buckingham Palace".

I can guarantee that none of the 100 organisations that this statement was sent to will be contacting BP. Why? Palace statements are always impeccably polite, so I'll translate what that actually means:

"In the highly likely event that the parasitic pair attempt to gain public funding to cover the cost of their clothing, transport, hospitality, entertainment and all else, the answer is no fucking chance. They are not working royals."

HRH - they've already lost their use of HRH, it's in abeyance. I do understand they flaunted this rule whilst in the US but now they are back over here, it won't be tolerated, it'll simply be removed.

Palace website - the King is most likely reluctant to remove them because of his grandchildren. But if they carry on behaving like dickheads, that could happen in the near future too.

Apology - whilst it would be nice, I think an apology is highly unlikely. They appear to have zero self awareness.

Chaos for the monarchy - I don't see this happening. Six years ago they were popular and had credibilty. They've systematically destroyed all of that. Creating further chaos whilst in the UK will backfire on them because charitities and other organisations won't want their brand image to be tarnished by them. It would just be yet another case of them shooting themselves in the foot.

Yes - you really have to read between the lines with letters like this written in "Palace speak"

I used to work with one of the late Queen's former equerries - we called him the "smiling assassin" because he would put the most awful criticisms whether in writing or spoken with such elegance that you never saw the knife coming!

The following sums it up

Yes. It is, as has been said, like listening to the King’s speeches in America. Light, fluffy and witty on the surface with an undercurrent of pure venom 😆

Yeah, although I imagine it would be quite boring. I'm wondering what the fee would be?.

Who or what organisation paid their huge expenses for the last Invictus games? I can't imagine them paying it all themselves and there must come a point where their name isn't enough for them to freebies, in return for promoting products by being seen to use them. It might even become counter productive.

Subtlety doesn't work with HAM. They are just too dim. All they got from Palace statement is private citizens

It's also worth remembering that Diana proved to be a bit of a loose cannon in her final years, in terms of her humanitarian "work". Perhaps that's what they are desperate to avoid a second time round. Charles will remember this all too well.

It was Diana’s loose cannon approach to her charity work, arranging high profile, emotive and evocative photo opportunities where she was seen 'helping', that fuelled the manic media interest which ultimately made her so famous, or rather infamous. Before that, people were somewhat interested in Diana, but not quite so obsessed, and the media did not yet create such a hysterical circus around her.

Harry and Meghan look to be wanting to follow a similar approach. Very unwise strategy as it didn't end so well. But Ham will try to recreate that sort of publicity. HaM are Diana 2.0 just without the fashion sense and striking looks.

The Palace is unlikely to allow the same publicity pattern to play out for a second time.

These 2 lack decorum and discretion.

Oh yes. But everyone else in the UK heard loud and clear. In the same way we totally heard the Trump
put downs by the King 😆

Megan is ten years older than Diana was when she died. Both women were good enough looking when they were younger.

If they don't get the security they want, I wouldn't be surprised if they released a statement saying they are not sending the hamlets to school at all 🙄

Maybe their Daddy can homeschool them, they would really do well!

Hadn't his appearance fee dropped? I'm not sure what Harry can talk about, apart from his own sense of resentment.

Yes

When he first moved to the US he was commanding about $500,000- 1 million for a speech at a JP Morgan conference in 2020. However the rumours were that it was disappointing - they expected Harry to talk about business related subjects - perhaps sustainability as he had just started Travalyst - but what they got was the usual nonsense about his sad life as a Prince in a Palace and being son of Diana.

Most recently he was paid around $40,000-50,000 to speak at a convention for Estate Agents but it was half empty as they couldn't sell tickets,
