GBNews reporting Harry and Megan moving back to the UK

GBNews are reporting that Harry and Megan are moving back to the UK at the end of August.

I won't believe it until I hear it on the BBC.

OP posts:

The BBC article online I think says they are keeping Montecito.

Wouldn't have thought that would make much financial sense. If they want to keep a base in California they could do it much more cheaply.

Routers also reporting it now.

I'm quite surprised, I must say!

I think it’s visa related. This was published in the US last week. I think attention is focussing on if he lied on the application and has thus far been getting a free pass from Trump. Plus they know they don’t have enough cash and earning potential for their lifestyle. Returning to captivity is their only option.

William must be furious.

Couldn`t give a hoot.
Let people be.

Screamingabdabz · Yesterday 23:00

People are very naive if they think they give a flying shit about the health of King Charles.

This is another desperate attempt to cash in the remaining ‘relevancy’ chips they have left. After openly lying to Oprah, being burned by South Park, lambasted by Netflix, rightfully mocked for scraping the barrel flogging jam and fakery to sycophantic nutjob ‘followers’. Hollywood types are embarrassed to be seen with her.

So what do they have left? ‘Let’s give the kids a posh education and a British accent, I’ll do my Princess Di eyes and wear her jewellery…’

🙄

None of us know them.

Good for them. I hope they take it by storm and show will and Kate what it means to be a popular figure.

In your previous post you agreed with this poster now you don’t. I am confused about your position.

lazymaw · Yesterday 23:01

I saw a headline a few weeks ago saying will n kate held emergency talks after the H & M met charles. I didn’t read it or think much of it at the time but i guess now it makes sense. They’d all know of this, no way it’s a surprise.

JulietBravo999 · Yesterday 23:02

I wonder if it’ll be somewhere rural or maybe Scotland. They allegedly had a mini break up there the other week. Surely they can’t live any sort of private life in London!

Money isn’t an object. They have access to fair more than we know. It will be kept fully staffed too.

Superhansrantowindsor · Yesterday 23:04

Perhaps he is worried about his family’s position when William becomes King? It could be something to do with that. Or his Visa? Or money?
I suspect this is a soft and gentle launch back into the royal fold.

HollyhocksandPeons · Yesterday 23:06

I am amazed and in awe of the British Royal Family. None of my friends from council estates would have allowed their brickie sons marry this American fake, naaah. The British Royal Family allowed this farce, then got accused of racism, and it looks like they ate shit and welcome these liars back with open arms. I am in awe at their ability to forgive, it is admirable.

TwoSteppinRoundTheRoom · Yesterday 23:10

I’m not surprised. Charles is mid 70s, has cancer and they’ve reduced his treatment. That doesn’t look good.

I don’t think William and Catherine need any help on that score, from you or them! Grow up!

Lifeomars · Yesterday 23:10

I think that Charles hasn't got long to go and that this is the reason. I have no time for the royals but they are people and if Charles is dying then I hope that there is time for all parties to be reconciled and be together

MiceSpiders · Yesterday 23:13

I don't really understand how two weeks ago Meghan and the children had to be snuck in because of the huge safety concerns and lack of security, but now they can live here and go to school here quite safely?
I don't have a strong opinion on them, it just doesn't make sense, where did the threat go?

And the interview with Camilla where she speaks about her feelings when Charles was first diagnosed was on the news today, I am sure this is not a coincidence

BruFord · Yesterday 23:14

I think this is the best option for them tbh. I'm in the US and they haven't been high profile here for a while (they were initially but it faded). PH hasn't found a meaningful role and MM's projects are floundering.

I think he'll be happier and perhaps she's realized that compared to her own toxic family, the RF aren't so bad?! I feel sorry for William though, I hope they don't make his life difficult. I hope KC isn't on his way out either, that would be sad for them all on a personal level.

So what was the point of all that legal action about RAVEC if it suddenly doesn't matter?

Meghan curtsying or not to the king - every little move they make will be scrutinised.

Since they won't be working royals, there's no reason why they should be seen at public events with the King, so there'll be nothing to scrutinise.

I suspect it's about money too. The BBC says a non-royal residence, but possibly Pa is helping with housing costs and school fees - with some pretty strong conditions attached about talking to the media about family affairs.

I do think it will be nice for Archie and Lili to get to know their cousins though. There are quite a lot of them all around the same age.

I cannot imagine the Tindals, Edinburghs or Phillips will want to be anywhere near HAM. Beatrice seems to have her own problems so that really only leaves Eugenie .
Not quite the big cousin reunion some imagine .
But if I were any of the RF I would keep my distance and keep in with William.

Nah , they are too self centred for that . I suspect it’s for financial reasons .

Agree - they are trying to renew their so called brand

and never see them one on one and have them frisked for recording devices always

This.
Looks like the move to US has been a big fat failure despite making millions slagging off the RF and making the Queen’s final years pretty miserable.

Ohcrap082024 · Yesterday 23:21

What?

I thought the UK was terribly unsafe for Megs. The kids are already enrolled in a school!

It’s either Charles’ poor health or bankruptcy is looming. Or both.

I'm sure this is part of it but they also need to make amends with William if he's about to become the big guy. If Charles has been subsidising them for things like security or housing costs then they have a problem if he's no longer here. Pure speculation because I don't know if that has been the case.

Edited

Please keep them!

I think they will be booed at every time here

This is not news.
