GBNews are reporting that Harry and Megan are moving back to the UK at the end of August.

I won't believe it until I hear it on the BBC.

Money isn’t an object. They have access to fair more than we know. It will be kept fully staffed too.

And you know this how?

BemusedAmerican · Yesterday 23:45

I was hoping that because of his dodgy visa, there would be an ICE raid on the Montecito home. 😁

I feel bad for William and Catherine.

I'm envisioning Meghan bringing out an American -centered line - pecan pies, buttermilk biscuit mix, chocolate chip cookies.

Been obvious for a while. They’d run out of options in the US. There were rumours of them wanting the children to be educated in the UK. Talk of ‘Operation Thaw’; a PR campaign to manage their return. I wrote on MN months ago they’d be back and was rounding slammed and told I was insane.

The PR on this has been fascinating and I’m convinced there has been one for a while.

It’ll be interesting to watch it further unfold.

I wonder if Charles Spencer had offered them a home. RF cannot be seen to house them.

I hope Harry will be happy here. I’m not convinced Meghan will be (mostly because it’s not sunny, healthy California).

Wonder if Doria will come?

I would bet there were already legal contracts in place about her having the right to move with the children.

@Joliefolie Perhaps. I hope it works out for them; it may just be a case of thinking that the grass was greener across the Atlantic and realizing that actually, it's not! They can have a great life in the UK.

Meg will hate it all over again. Didn’t she claim that being in close proximity to the royal family last time caused her to have suicidal thoughts?! Funny idea to go back then really in any capacity.

It's also cruel for the kids. There will almost certainly be children in the class whose parents have told them about the Megxit drama and how she branded all British people racists before flouncing. In any upper class school, you can bet your arse there are plenty of genuine wealthy racists who don't like them either. The kids will be harassed and told stories about the whole skin colour before birth debacle and the Royal Racist from their own family who still hasn't been named, and is definitely still alive since they excluded PP and the Queen.

No need for her to be in close proximity to the RF if she doesn't want to be.

The schools will absolutely push these kids fast track and ignore any requirements like exams etc.

They want these literally world famous pupils.

Which schools? Probably some
would be like that.

But for many schools having world famous students is just a practical headache and not something other parents are all going to be thrilled about.

Also what’s the PR risk? H&M are not shy about making public allegations if they feel slighted.

Turning to the current members of the royal family, Prince William and wife Catherine continue to come top of the list, with 76% and 75% positive ratings respectively.
Princess Anne is not far behind, on 70%.
King Charles himself is popular with 60% of Britons – a figure unchanged from the previous poll. However, one in three (34%) have a negative view of the king.
At the other end of the table, Prince Harry and wife Meghan continue to be unpopular, with just 30% and 20% respectively taking a favourable opinion of the Sussexes.
And of course, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor comes dead last, with just 3% holding a positive view of the former prince – the joint-lowest to date. Fully 93% have a negative view of AMW, including 85% who have a “very negative” view.

I do wonder how 3% of the UK population manage to have a positive view of Andrew…

H&M aren’t going to be housed by the RF nor doing Royal duties. W&K can avoid them within the family. It is rumoured that Catherine wants William to make up with his brother. They will reconcile.

It is - features on newsnight

that’s a programme about the days news by the way

I'm saying that a few people moving from country A to country B is not a story of any importance.

Just because it's on a news show does not mean it's important.

BemusedAmerican · Yesterday 23:54

The Montecito school system is excellent. There are many excellent private schools in the US, too.

Pretty sure (at least) 3% of the population are also pedophiles.

I really doubt they’re coming over here to live a quiet life away from the fold. What else does Harry have? What will he do? And there’s no way Meg has any intention of fading into obscurity. And when Charles does go she’ll be expected to be present at the funeral. there’s also no way they’ll keep any details of their children private unless they have the weight of the RF behind them.

Sereine · Yesterday 23:56

GustyGertie · Yesterday 22:31

It’s got to be to do with Charles’ health. Or maybe Harry has mellowed a bit and decided it’s time to mend some bridges before it’s too late.

Well, no, it's obviously financial.

There's an empty royal residence in Windsor, after all.

Poor souls. They are brave to come to this racist hole.

AutumnAllTheWay · Yesterday 23:58

Charles is on his way out and they want to get back in when there's money and power to be divvied up

Plus points for flying home despite the safety concerns to be with daddy in his last months

They are sickening

I feel she's got some sickening PR moment planned with her children. She's probably sold the rights for the first public "face reveal" to a magazine already so there will be a huge exclusive once they return. Maybe hoping that using the kids will endear them to the public more. And of course, they know the kids faces will be seen at major events they have to attend anyway so they're going to capitalise on that before it happens.

Youre the racist one for calling those racist who dislike someone because they treat those closest to them like dirt

We arent allowed to dislike somebody because they are of a different race? That is truly insulting to all involved

NoDrums · Today 00:01

Life is depressing and hard enough as it is in the UK. We don’t need this. Literally, just when you think things couldn’t get any worse. It’s so utterly grim.

@User7989776 I actually think it'll be better for them in the UK. My feeling is that they're somewhat isolated in the US, no family on speaking terms (except their Grandmother) and parents struggling to find their way.

LivelyGreyShark · Today 00:03

Glad to see them back actually, although i believe its reported its just for an extended period.
