Are the bets on or off for an invite to Balmoral?
Will Meghan bake a humble pie for Catherine?
Let’s discuss……!

OP posts:
AutumnCrowsMusings · Today 08:16

Why would David ‘MAGA’ Foster want anything to do with a couple whose known associations include Soros and the Kennedys? And W.H.O? Labour cabinet members?

Is Harry pretending that he has fingers in many pies? Honestly, you’d think someone like David Foster would do his research (or have someone do it for him) and twig that HaM are troublemaking berks who put the love of money and publicity before all else. When did H last deliver a deal that wasn’t for his own personal benefit?

Plus, being in the company of HaM must be excruciatingly boring. I don’t think I could take it for more than twenty minutes.

But I guess Foster’s using H somehow, in his head.

This is one of the things Harry & Meghan complained the RF would NOT do for them.

I think Harry makes a few personal calls pleading on behalf of Meghan because she is home on the floor crying her heart out, I imagine they put a lot of emotional pressure on people to do their bidding.

Whatever it is, David Foster now looks like a right idiot.

Whatever it is, David Foster now looks like a right idiot.

Not half as big an idiot as H&M, with their desperate need to clap back at every single little thing.

As I said before, I have no idea who he is outside his 'friendship' with the Sussexes. But if he's as big a deal as others are saying, then it costs him nothing to put his name to a stupid 'statement' very obviously written by Meghan, as a favour to his PR firm and/or his wife.

Also, as @Choux pointed out, this type of stupidity further distances them from any genuine connections with the elite. They may get one invite, sure, but translating that into a serious relationship is an entirely different thing.

AutumnCrowsMusings · Today 08:39

To add: Sophie Chandauka was absolutely adamant that the research she and Sentebale commissioned showed the Sussex brand to be ‘toxic’, and Sentebale must be prepared to put this evidence before the High Court as it started the whole defamation saga. And this was before the ANL verdicts and press revelations.

This can’t be news (can it??!) to successful multi-millionaire businessmen and -women like David Foster and Martha Stewart. So it’s interesting to see how differently they behave in the face of the toxicity of the Prince & Duchess. The possible commonality seems to be batting them away like flies, perhaps?

Meghan made the ‘baby brain’ comment to Catherine, Harry made the comment about needing to make sure his dear old grandmother had the right people around her.

They like to undermine people.

Which is the classic behaviour of bullies.

i find the comments "just swallow some humble pie" quite aggressive. How the hell do they think this will help them ?

My theory is that Meghan is still undermining chances of a reconciliation but doing it in such a way that she can blame it on the awful RF for rebuffing their attempts to 'reach out'.
She's dropping enough red flags for advisors to KC and the family inner circle to say they absolutely leak, cannot be trusted, will continue to disrupt and undermine the institution of monarchy and will be awful on a personal level. Whilst still thinking they're untouchable. So grey rocking but some polite rapprochement continues.
And HAM can use this approach to double down on the cold and unfeeling RF rejecting them through spite, mostly attributed to W&C.

Thanks for the new thread.

Am just catching up, so this point may already have been made (so ignore if so).

Why should W&C be the ones to "eat humble pie"?

They're not the ones who are returning to an institution that they had to get a freedom flight to escape from, that caused them to be "suicidal" (& yes, I'm using the quotations deliberately), that "lied" about them, that was full of institutional racism, that withdrew their security, that discussed the colour of their children in a derogatory way, that refused them help when "suicidal", that took away their passport and car keys, that leaked and briefed against them to the media, that silenced them, that cut them off financially.

Why exactly would the Wales' eat humble pie out of the 2 couples?

But why undermine reconciliation if she needs and wants royal adjacency for $$$$?

Are KC3 and PH not already reconciled to a degree personally - PH met with his DF after his cancer diagnosis and has met with him a number of times since.

Maybe there are many very separate / conflicting agendas at play at once.

#PH wanting a deeper personal reconnection with family and friends in UK for himself and his DCs.

#PH wanting to reclaim his royal status by association with KC3 in public as he holds zero status in US.

#MM pushing for a very public HIHO royal adjacency solely to boost her brand and $$$$$ in the US.

#KC3 wanting a private but distant light touch relationship with H,M,A&L - very much tightly managed by him and the MIG to mitigate every risk of H&M.

After this summer:

PH thinks he has got some of what he needs and wants.

KC3 has got everything he needs and wants.

MM has got nothing that she needs and wants so is throwing a hissy fit / narc rage as she has worked out it’s game over for her agenda.

Reconciliations may vary….

Scorched earth is always how she has behaved in the past when things didn’t go her way with husbands, siblings, parents, friends, colleagues, employees etc. It’s totally intolerable for her personally to comply conditions that don’t serve her.

She will be raging after the summer visit. I doubt she will ever be back to experience that again. I see PH coming more on his own now and maybe even with the DCs and not her unless she can reconcile on her mind that even the smidgeon of private royal adjacency being gagged and controlled is worth a $ to her. But I don’t think she has the emotional balance and capacity to absorb the indignation to play the long game.

It’s not long until the 10 year marriage benefit kicks in - so I expect she will spend the next 18 months writing her memoir and drafting her divorce papers ready to push the button in May 2028.

See I’m the other way on harry and the military- he thrived in the military. But the “firm” wanting him as a working royal and to be fair, it was a good short term plan. He was popular, he worked well joining William on engagements together, the public warmed to him. But longer term I think he’d have been happier as the career military man of the family. (Not sure Meghan would have been interested in a royal who wasn’t a celebrity though. )

Harry chose to leave the Military, and become a working Royal. A good few years before William did.

Did he not fail the Officer Exams?? Whether he could have knuckled down and resat I'm not sure, but he could have stayed on in the Military. Or he could have done more pilot training and segued into something like search & rescue, or Air Ambulance. (Very much depends on ability, of which I'm not sure about his level).

But he had more options than just "Working Royal".

Beesandhoney123 · Today 09:50

Perhaps Mr Foster is on the look out for his 5th wife. Or suddenly realised M had him.on her radar and that was the snub reason.

M has no reasons to refuse to return to the UK. Apart from no one likes her. But she doesnt care about that. The woman thrives on drama. They will return, because fighting from the inside - here- makes more sense.

The only question is where will they live- no one will put then up, even the Althorps, and they will struggle to sell the white elephant house.

So they need a base, and a home. They have no money and no cachet.

Did M really lead prayers on set? What fresh hell is this? Is she that religous? Is the movie industry religious? Does she lead prayers at home? Does H pray now or sit morosly with a pint and a fag watching his wife peformance pray?

JSMill · Today 10:10

@Beesandhoney123I agree they will struggle to sell the house. Multi million dollar house do sit on the market for a long time. They were very foolish by rushing into buying. They could have rented but I suspect M was trying to get H to put down roots. The running costs of that mansion must be horrendous. There’s no way either of them fully understood what they were getting into. H has also wasted a disgusting amount of money on his legal action and is about to waste even more when costs are decided for the ANL case. They are such foolish people. They threw away so much.

Puzzledandpissedoff · Today 10:12

But why undermine reconciliation if she needs and wants royal adjacency for $$$$?

Maybe because she's already got enough adjacency by being married to Harry, @Claregalway?

Every time she feeds some nonsense about them being slighted, every time she drags hapless Harry on for a cameo appearance, every time the will they/won't they come kicks off again, the royal relationship is brought into it - though so far the RF have had the sense not to engage publicly

On this analysis there'd be no need for her to return to the UK, and I very much agree that as long as Harry's any use to her she'll be doing anything she can to sabotage any return for him

David Foster seemed to not have had any big names at his 40 year foundation gala, other than Harrry and Meghan. Adam Levine did a few numbers but without the full Maroon 5 group.

His foundation supports a great cause, however it has been given 1 star rating from a charity watchdog.

‘Because program costs and direct family grants account for less than 20% of their annual revenue, the foundation funnels a massive amount of its incoming money directly back into its savings. This continuous loop explains why their total asset pool grew aggressively from $49.9 million in 2024 up to $64 million.’

The Canadian media are also questioning the lack of transparency.

Maybe that’s why he decided to make an announcement about Meghan’s hurty hurty feelings, a bit of diversionary tactics.

Here’s how much money from Victoria’s celebrity gala actually went to charity

The David Foster Foundation has revealed to CTV News how much of the money raised at a glitzy gala in Victoria will go to families in need.

Milking the Royal connection I guess, probably aiming for connection and kudos higher up? Goodness knows why!

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · Today 11:02

On the matter of religion, she converted to marry her first husband whilst she was also leading prayers on set?

I'm not religious, but I can't abide it when people who claim to be shown such poor adherence.

MrsLeonFarrell · Today 11:06

Reading through got me wondering ...

Even if Meghan wants HIHO, even if the King allows it, neither of which are a given, I still don't see how that will help with sales of over priced generic jam and candles. If you want royal candles you can get them directly from an actual palace or the King's country house. There isn't a gap in the market here.

I don't see how HIHO helps then at this point. It won't necessarily mean increased security, it won't raise their profile and I doubt it will bring in more sales. Is it purely to give Harry something to do?

Alternative theory:
William’s lot put out that story to undermine the return and generally put the spooks up MM (&H).

Just jesting but I like it.

HIHO in that scenario would probably translate as 'half heartedly in, but only so we don't have to flog UPF shite and can just live on the largesse of the RF whilst merching outfits worn to official engagements for extra pocket money.'

She's not going to keep flogging her tat if KC can provide an alternate income stream.

If they can claim to represent the monarchy again I'd have thought that would give them access to more money @MrsLeonFarrell?

More "expenses", more clothing for Meghan (and never mind the vast previous spend on outfits not seen since), and yes more whines about security "because we're higher profile now and we need it" - and that's not accounting for the tales they could sell when it all went wrong again

Every little helps as they say, and since they've failed at every recent attempt to make money for themselves, that "little" might matter

AutumnCrowsMusings · Today 12:18

@Beesandhoney123 I believe that David Foster's current wife is his 5th wife! - according to Wiki, at any rate.

AutumnCrowsMusings · Today 12:25

Harry ... thrived in the military

Did he though? Did he really? These days I'm wondering where the proof of that is, and whether it was all just another illusion wafted our way by the MIGS.

One of the bits of documentary footage that has since disappeared, about Harry in the army, shows him sitting hungover-looking on top of an armoured vehicle with a fag hanging out of his gob attempting to look cool while issuing some instructions to part of a platoon. I think this part was filmed in the UK. He seemed very contemptuous of the officer training he was receiving.

That really is the triumph of hope over experience!

It reminds me of (I think) Steve Martin, saying "I'm not going to get married again. Next time, I'll just find a woman I dislike and buy her a house".

A little more money but I'm not sure it will be enough. They'll get housing and an allowance but, outside the Royal Duchies, no one in the family seems to be living the life of a billionaire. Millionaire sure but I think they are aiming higher than that. It won't give them personal commercial success, that ship has sailed.

Does anyone know when the Sentebale case is likely to start? Because I'm really hoping we will finally get some details about Harry's appalling behaviour rather than the constant minimising and excusing.

I also really hope Sophie Chandauka gets to have her day in court and the opportunity to show the evidence she has of Harry's treatment of her (and his behaviour towards Sentebale generally). And that she isn't under huge financial pressure to settle.
