I think you are on to something there . I have felt ever since “ Project Thaw” was first mooted that Meghan would try to scupper a reconciliation.
She loves her title , access to money , mansion , staff etc etc but there is no way she wants back to the restrictions and protocols of the RF.
She also must know how unpopular she is and how popular Catherine is and I don’t think she can cope with not being top dog.

@Mylovelygreendress - It did cross my mind that she was a bit nervous about appearing in public. Not because of a real threat but because of the reception she may get. But I don't know , that is my musing only and I'm not saying it's true.

I Don't live in uk but my impression is, his reception wasn't great.

My impression was , apart from reporters wanting to know about the ANL case , and apart from people inside the venues he went to for his charities , his reception was largely one of utter indifference.

Over on X there is speculation regarding Where's Meghan?? She's not been seen since the roundabout speech.

From the newspaper articles/bits on the tv it looked like the only times he has people round him was when he was in side his pre planned meetings with people who presumably like him.
There was no indication of any public waiting to see him-just reporters.

In light of Ann Widdicombs murder -no matter what your political beliefs-I think people are disgusted with him demanding ‘security’ while people who are living here and are public political figures are potentially fighting for their lives.

Interesting that Geneva roundabout was the last public appearance. However I doubt she has had (more) work done - unless it was all healed for her scheduled public engagements accompanying PH (which she subsequently pulled out of).

She doesn’t want her personal brand tarnished (and future earning capacity limited) by PH and his ANL shit storm, the upcoming Sentable shit storm, his irrational and entrenched security nonsense.

It was announced in January that Meghan would release a cookbook in 2026. Maybe she is home working on it. 😁

Countryfile were saying tonight that there might be a market for a Bronze Age cookbook including ‘menus in the moment’ involving honey, porridge and venison. John Craven seemed bewilderingly enthusiastic about it.

I would imagine the food would be rather bland. I can't see Neolithic cooks using lots of herbs and spices - they were pre- Silk Road. Tomatos, peppers, potatos, eggplant came from the Americas.

Also, it's not easy to find venison in the US. If I wanted it, I would have to order it online.

I'm quite convinced she is largely the driver behind the whole securidee nonsense. She feeds his paranoia because it suits her purposes. She doesn't want to appear in the UK. Neither does she want to see Harry's family in any shape or form. I imagine she put up with the brief meeting with Charles out of financial desperation. They want the bells and whistle of being in the RF to save money and make more.

And he’s too stupid to realise that she’s totally manipulating him to further her agenda. As soon as she’s got what she wants she’ll be off. From the very beginning I think she’s had an agenda that won’t feature Harry in the long term.

Harry's been emphasising his connection to the UK recently so I find it very interesting he wasn't at any England WC matches. He might have looked a little like he was representing the country if he'd been seen there, which must have appealed given that he's pretending to be a royal. My guess is that the FA (with PW as patron) didn't invite him to the main box where the important people sit and he couldn't bear to get a ticket sitting with ordinary people in the crowd (shades of M at Wimbledon).

I agree that M pushes the security thing to have an excuse for not visiting but, also, I think H feels guilty because I think he promised her they'd always have security (silly muppet, we could have given her more accurate information about that than he did).

To be fair, they will always have security. It’s just it’ll be security based on the actual level of threat. It’s no one else’s fault they have an inflated sense of their own importance.

100%. MM arrived in the UK with a commercial agenda. She was looking for TV work and/or a wealthy 2nd husband. Even with PH she has her lawyers, agents, PR team and accountants on board throughout ready for deals - which to be fair they delivered once she had cemented her financial future with a baby. Why was Oprah Winfrey sniffing around Nottingham Cottage. They weren’t friends. MM had her eyes on the prize and it was entering the Hollywood A List back home in Cali - PH was just a stepping stone - could have been any wealthy sportsman, actor, celeb

So H was on Corden’s show saying he didn’t think he didn’t think England were in the right mindset for the tournament. Putting aside whether he is correct or not, since when has H been a football fan?? He’s clearly jealous of the attention his db has been getting over his passion for football. Or perhaps he thinks faking an interest in football is an easy way to get the approval of the British public.

Oh fhs Harry is not wrong in this instance! England did well to get where they did in the tournament but they rarely start confidently, and once they get ahead they tend to crumble. If that is not a mindset issue, I don’t know what is! Many other commentators have said the same.

With regard to the "massive internal security" had it not occurred to Harry that he is paying for security and it is in that company's financial interest to provide a massive amount of security? All that phrase tells us is that someone is making a lot of money, and it isn't Harry. It says nothing about his actual need for security.

Imagine having so much wealth and privilege yet just swanning around attending awards ceremonies and talking shit to oafs for attention. He is a complete waste of space. Sooner or later he's going to say something really really embarrassing and stupid. What a liability. .
