What pp’s are confident of is that he gets appropriate levels of security offered to him based on the way this is assessed on an ongoing basis (and also the track record of RAVEC).

Re the £26 million for Invictus Birmingham - I’ve linked this before. It’s a puff piece from the time (with full hagiography of St Harry of Walking-on-the-Water) with some background on where the money is coming from.

Basically, the Government’s veterans’ fund.

You think everyone who holds racist views will be “after him”? I doubt they’ll give him a thought.

Because he has a (very generous) special arrangement with RAVEC whereby, provided he cooperate with them, all appropriate security will be provided. We aren't privy to the details, nor should we be, but we do know that RAVEC have access to the latest intelligence and will base their level of protection on that.

So he receives whatever protection is appropriate. We really don't need to know more than that.

Which could mean he gets none.

I'm not trying to be awkward or defend Harry's extraordinary behaviour, I'm just responding to the positive assertions that he gets protection when he's in the country and trying to understand where that certainty comes from.

All we are certain of is that his risk is assessed.

So he receives whatever protection is appropriate. We really don't need to know more than that.
That's really my point @IcedPurple we don't know. We know the process not the outcome. But PPs were certain he receives protection

Just to add to this to date PH has been offered (and to date declined) the additional security offered to him by staying in protected royal residences - choosing to stay in hotels.

What is incredibly frustrating re: this topic is the significant gap between the noise he makes about his security and (numerous) ways in which he undermines it himself - from publishing itineraries in advance, refusing to stay in royal accommodation, random wanderings around London knocking on the wrong door and lest we forget choosing to leave the UK and a home within the Windsor security cordon and stepping down as a working member of the RF.

He has a very generous, bespoke arrangement that no other non-working royal has.

He can give 28 days notice (required by employment law, to allow time for assessment and staff to be available) and will have an up-to-date assessment of risk by professionals who have access to the latest intelligence, and will be given the level of protection appropriate to that assessment.

@Ohpleeeease There will be racist people in Birmingham , there will be racist people in London , or Scotland or Wales , there are racist people in the UK , BUT not everyone is racist. and many of us deplored H&M's documentary with video clips of the ENL / ENF whatever it was implying that. I was a wee bit cross about that. My DS's partner is American , Parents Black American & Cuban - does that make me an expert - no it doesn't but don't tell me I'm racist because I live in the UK . I do realise I am verging on - some of my best friends are gay territory there 😊, but seriously . Right - someone tell me where I have crossed a line there because I will happily ask for my post to be deleted but I don't believe the RF are inherently racist & if H is continuing this for security purposes - I think he's out of time on that one.

Yes, @BreadInCaptivity - none of which are things that anyone who is remotely concerned about real security would actually do.

He also has his own personal security team, he is pissed off because he has to pay them and clearly doesn't think they are up to the job to protect someone as special as himself. He wants free security on the UK tax payer.
The other issue is he wants guns because he likes his Xbox war games! He needs to grow up.

As I've mentioned before Ravec's track record is excellent, but apparently not good enough for Harry because it includes palace staff - how else are they to know the RF's arrangements? - the whole thing's a stitch-up, and anyway some of them "want him dead"

I rather think that most people genuinely seeking to protect themselves would a) listen to the experts and b) cooperate for their benefit and safety. Not to mention the safety of any family members who may or may not be coming along too.

But that’s for people with actual security concerns. Not Harry wanted his ego massaged.

If I were W and I wanted anyone to join the team - I would choose this young woman rather than H or his children. She may not want to. However, I think she wears her privilege lightly - cf the sitting on the train carriage doing her homework as well as driving the carriage her Grandpa gave he (which is proper privilege . ) I'd back her rather than the Sussexes any day of the week. But she may not want to or be asked to.

Obviously they don't announce his security arrangements as that would not be secure.

However when he announced he was arriving with 24 hours notice to see his father after the cancer diagnosis - he left Heathrow in a 3 car convoy - 2 Range Rovers and a marked police car.

His security has also been sufficient for his previous visits for all of his court cases plus his annual appearances at Well Child.

I see she is another described as the late Queen's favourite grandchild, @BasiliskStare - she seems to have had a few!

There was a post congratulating her on the RF Facebook page, with a couple of nice photos.

Yes, these arrangements always have flexibility included for emergencies, but 28 days is sensible for normal employment requirements.

As close to normal as it's possible to be in the RF. why on earth would Louise want to be a working Royal? I hope she has a great career ahead of her.

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t think we are an inherently racist country but that isn’t saying that there are no racists. Of course there are. Is it born out of hatred or ignorance? Debatable.

My point about Birmingham is that it is famously diverse. If Harry can’t bring his biracial wife and children to Birmingham in safety then he may as well not come at all.
