That’s interesting because the Twitter post shared by the SS member about their invitation to Chatham House on Tuesday - specified it was an Invictus Games Foundation Event … maybe decentralisation is afoot?

That’s the company their bodyguard Chris Sanchez owns / works with.

A thought has just struck me about how it’s not unusual for people with addictions to come up with creative excuses to avoid events that will prevent their indulgence.

The bit that doesn't make sense is this. Let's say I was coming to an event and my private security team said look it's too dangerous, then the natural answer to that would be to think: a) how essential is my physical presence at this thing? (Minimal) b) would the threat dissipate if I stayed at home and did a little speech by video? (Possibly)
So then the safest thing for the participants and attendees would be for Harry to stay away.
It's not even the actual Invictus Games- it's a 'one year to go event.'

Sorry, but if the whole thing's true, more fool them. It seems obvious to anyone with a brain that H&M's stories change like the wind according to what suits, so I'm not sure how this could have escaped reporters, royal rota or not

If he trusts his own private security firm more than RAVEC, and if they have told him he is genuinely at risk at an IG event, then the obvious step is for him to reconsider or cancel the entire 'event'.

Also, most people would be very relieved to hear that an expert security assessment has shown that the risk to him and his family has not increased, so therefore there's no need for extra security. But Harry takes it as a personal insult. He really is terribly mixed up and in need of intervention.

It's all nonsensical. They very obviously planned full bells and whistles tour. Paps with KC and probably his kids papped with his cousins. All refused but he kept persisting . It's reported that he bombarded PW with calls for a long time. He probably realised last weekend that it wasn't looking good for him now we have this circus. I actually don't think he'll even turn up now

Ohhh that does make sense, the recognisable bodyguard who is always front and centre of their protection, not surprised he's involved in some way imho.

Which friends ? He seems to have alienated his long standing friends as well as his family .

This just about sums up the 'will he, won't he' debacle of this week. From Tom Sykes of The Daily Beast:

Yeah, I’m wondering why the DM have not mentioned it, obviously it was only sent to the WhatsApp group of preferred journalists to read and publish the details.

I suppose we should presume that the unconditional worship serves an essential psychological purpose for a very mentally disturbed man. Like she’s (for him) the reincarnation of you-know-who.

Anyway, he’s now at least visibly in the ballpark of being a danger to himself and others, so maybe someone will finally DO something. People who’ve pandered to him for political and personal gain like Yvette Cooper and Chris Ship should be bloody ashamed and held to account now.

I do think what would be a law of unintended consequences is if BCC or various veteran organisations just said "Thanks H for highlighting the danger to other ex members of the armed services. We now regretfully decline your invitation to the 1 year to go event and will be cancelling the whole thing. Thanks for the heads up"

It seems pretty shitty to me if he is drawing in other pilots ( and therefore because of the nature of the event other veterans ) to bolster up his wants for his security. That's aside from any other questions about the IG. Or as a pp eloquently posted the worries of people who live in Birmingham.

Why bother with Prince Harry when you can have King Harry?

@IcedPurple Quite - and if I may be frivolous for a moment , at the least the footballing Harry keeps his beard nicely trimmed.

There's also the fact that he's extremely talented, has a supportive wife he's known since childhood and is not a whiny, attention seeking man child. So pretty much the opposite of that other Harry!

Herald reporting the ANL judgement out on the 7th July. Which is when Harry is supposed to be in the UK.

Some saying online- that he already knows the result and this is why Harry is spiralling and that he will be a no show next week- blaming the security issue.

But is that how it works? Will he have the judgement already and Tuesday is just a public reading?
