I wonder if Hazbeen knows about the divorce laws in California, they're only two years away from when the divorce laws start to apply, where the wife gets pretty much everything including the kids.

I shouldn't think he has the first clue.

In fairness, they’ve lasted longer than I thought they would.

Harry must be incredibly difficult to live with. I expect him to be extremely moody and we know he has admitted to using drugs on a regular basis.

But I think the real challenge will be the next few years. They simply can’t continue to live this very expensive lifestyle. As ever won’t make any money and will fold at some point.

There’s no more big money pay days coming their way. This is when I think Meg will get tired of Harry. He doesn’t work, he’s miserable/paranoid/ sullen and cant keep the billionaire lifestyle going.

If she divorces Harry, she’s still Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. So she isn’t losing her title.

I think it’s a few years off though……maybe 5 years

"She" will be thinking hard about ditching him before the ten-year deadline, so that "she" doesn't have to support him.

I think this up-coming visit andvthe 6-month campaign leading up to it is/was a test for him in this respect - an all-out, throw-everything-at-it attempt to build a way back towards relevance as RF- adjacent, with him thereafter doing the half- in and her the half-out.

DancingFerret · 02/07/2026 17:07

If Richard Eden is to be believed, the Sussexes effectively "kippered" the journalists who faithfully reported the details of their upcoming UK visit.

It’s hilarious. They complained in the NF series about the royal rota and the ‘leaking and planting’ and they have just been proven to be doing exactly that.

If you're right, @Rhaidimiddim, then it's just one more thing he's failed at - and now potentially with another court judgement in the middle of it which may or may not suit

No wonder he looks so haunted ... and while I've no idea if he knows anything about Californian law he'll certainly have heard the reports about Meghan's team discussing a post-divorce book, which won't have done anything for his mindset

He can't possibly win against ANL next week? After the CG email dump too

Harry fought in Afghanistan, there'll be people after him for that.

Harry married a woman of colour, there'll be people after him for that.

Not in Birmingham they won’t. Very insulting to suggest otherwise, it’s an extraordinarily diverse city.

Thank you - what is it people find so hard to understand? Harry gets fully assessed taxpayer funded protection.
It may not be armed close protection officers though, and that's what pisses off Harry and his ill informed fans.

Well I'll hold my hands up and say I don't understand what funded security you say he gets?
I thought the situation was that Harry doesn't get any taxpayer funded protection. He has to give 28 days notice of intention to travel to the uk so the current risk is assessed. Only if risk is assessed high enough will he get state funded protection.
He would get security if staying in Royal residence but not outside of it. Hence his statement of the "risk follows the person ..." or some such. I took this to mean he had no state funded security as soon as he leaves the residence? Or if he stays elsewhere, he has no state funded security.
Please could you clarify what it is he gets?

DaisyDooley · 02/07/2026 18:14

I would like to thank all of you posters who have been on these threads from the beginning and accepted me when I suddenly discovered you all & started posting, barging in with my opinions.
You have taught me a lot.
@BasiliskStare made a post this afternoon and a penny dropped with me.
You said they ‘could have had it all’ .
They could -but only if they stayed.
The Royal family ISNT about the people in it -it’s an unseen faith in a system and what it gives to the people and the nation. It’s a consciousness that threads its way into our lives without us realising. It’s incredibly’British’ and this could be why non British people don’t understand it or why it’s important to us. It’s like we are born with an understanding of it - is it like a genetic print handed down to us?
Again - it’s not about the people in the bubble it’s about them being in this invisible bubble of Royalty.
And this is why, when H&M left they simply became normal people. The magic and mystic has gone. The stardust & glitter dried up. They simply became a nauseating entitled middle aged couple making demands on a nation that has no time for them. They left the bubble.
They are a fabulous example of why monarchy cannot be sold.
By God, they tried. Yes there was initial excitement but it didn’t take long for the world to see that they are nothing special with no discernible, marketable talents.
Anybody can bitch about their family to raise their profile (hello Brooklyn Beckham) but the sales dry up and the phone stops ringing. They have nothing else to sell and nothing that people are interested in. This is because they have shown you can’t take the mystique with you. Harry isn’t a member of the RF any more. He’s simply a member of the Mountbatten Windsor family.
We are watching him implode.
I really hope invictus is cancelled - reading the posts from people in Birmingham is awfully sad. I had some great times on Broad Street in the last century!
Harry is a real time car crash.
He is a twit as he thinks we are as stupid as he is. We see through him and see him for exactly what he is -and that’s nothing remotely special.

Of course there are racists in Birmingham. I fired a staff member for it. My brother has been in a secret mixed-race relationship here for almost two decades because of difficult interracial issues.

Whether any of them have genuine plans to attack PH is judged by RAVEC, but it's silly to pretend there aren't racists here.

My understanding kitty is, he gets royal protection when staying in a royal residence or out and about with a senior royal. Now, I'm not sure if that's armed security. He wants what only the king, queen and the the Wales get which is 24 hour armed protection which he is not entitled to

Your question wasn't for me, but I can say that nobody knows exactly what level of security an individual gets. For obvious reasons, this is not revealed to the public. The fact that Harry has made it into a matter for media speculation and gossip shows he hasn't got a clue of the sensitivity and confidentiality of the subject.

And close protection isn't an 'either or'. It could be that he has an unarmed officer but 'wants' armed protection. It could be that he will be assigned a police officer but Meghan won't. It could be that he will be have a police escort when doing 'engagements' but not, say, when visiting friends. We really don't know. Nor should we.

What we do know is that RAVEC have an excellent record in keeping people safe and it's highly unlikely they would ignore any genuine threat to the King's son. So while security can never be guaranteed, it's a safe bet that whatever protection is provided to be Harry will be perfectly adequate, his ranting and raving aside.

canklesmctacotits · 02/07/2026 18:22

I can see a stint in rehab in Harry’s future. Not for substance abuse or addiction, but because of a breakdown and unravelling. The situation he’s got himself into is really serious (a level and type of isolation and mistrust of everyone that his mother felt, with nobody to turn to unlike his mother) and could be too much for someone who hasn’t thrown away a princedom let alone someone who has. He’s being used by literally everyone in his life right now. The one person he should be able to rely on - his surviving parent - can’t help him even if he wanted to. I think this is a tragedy unfolding before our eyes.

Obviously i don’t know but i am fairly certain that Royal lawyers will have been working behind the scenes in anticipation of a divorce . There have been numerous rumours about Meghan’s life pre Harry and I doubt she will want that or the bullying report to be made public.
At the end of the day Harry is the King’s son and I am sure they would allow him back into the fold and find someplace for him to live quietly .
They will find a way to remove M’s title .
It is Archie and Lilibet I feel sorry for.

@Starryfifty - this did make me laugh - your comment " or he's just a knob "

I'm sorry - that gave me a giggle . Of course inter alia with his PR spraying it is very possible that H is just a knob. Who of us knows , but I refer to Arthur Conan Doyle " “When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” It is possible H is just a knob. 😂 Ach - if Catherine , W and Edward Sophie etc can cope with RAVEC protection , really why can't H.

I agree with this. What H gets should stay confidential and secure. That he is blabbing is wrong, and a breach of the trust of others.

I’d also add that an individual commissioning his own private ‘risk assessment’ from three jobbing ‘intelligence analysts’ reports proves nothing but his own gullibility and the size of his own ego.

Anyone can call themselves an ‘intelligence analyst’. It’s not a legally protected term here on the UK or in the USA. Anyone can write a report based on grandiose sounding OSINT (‘open source intelligence’) which is effectively just all the stuff anyone can find on the internet.

I’m afraid I struggle to see a tragedy here.

More the inevitable consequences of being a narcissistic pillock who doubled down by marrying in his own image.

Thanks for replying.
I get that ravec is not going to give details, and I understand the flexibility of his bespoke arrangement, it was the confident assurance of the PPs saying he does get protection that confused me. I thought that like Anne and Edward etc. the baseline was nothing unless the review undertaken during the 28 day notice indicated risk. So, as ravec don't publish their outcomes, how are pps confident he receives anything?
