He is basically the boy who cried wolf at this point. As far as i can see the BBC aren't even carrying the story. I don't think he has any grasp of his unimportantance.

I was just about to say the same thing. We are all so fed up of this. I really hope they don’t come especially if its all such a risk, let the events happen without him.

if Reddit is to be believed, Harry’s ‘team’ submitted a 40 page document to the Home office outlining some threats and the potential security risk to ‘the public’ IF Harry was targeted by terrorists.

If that is the case he needs to cancel all his public engagements and why the fuck is he exposing wife and children to such ‘risk’ .

i saw a funny comment on Reddit. ‘If that’s the case, why is he not moving all public engagements to a safer country, like Ukraine, Nigeria or Colombia.”

Invictus cannot go ahead with any of this if Harry really believes there is a risk to Harry, his family and the general public, purely for a bit of PR for their games.

The Invictus 'event' is a joke anyway,

"One year to go." Name me a single other minor sports event which does this. As I've said before, it's time for the IG to be wound up or merged with a similar charity. It's years past prime and is just a stage for Harry and his wife to strut upon now.

But more to the point, what the f*ck sort of game is Harry playing with this 'security report'? Even by his standards, this is starting to look seriously unhinged. You can't pressure a govt dept like that! No, not even if you're a Prince of the Realm. I'm so glad RAVEC basically told him to do one. Come or don't come Harry. Bring the kids or not. Nobody gives a toss. What an arrogant moron.

Harry fought in Afghanistan, there'll be people after him for that.

Harry married a woman of colour, there'll be people after him for that.

Harry is not the only person in the U.K. to have done those things!
they all seem to manage.

There is no evidence whatsoever that he has any more of a risk than the Head of State, the Heir to the Throne and their wives.
It's been assessed by counter terrorist officers, MI5 and the like for RAVEC.
He should stop leaking all the details about his life and that of his children and shut up for 20 minutes.

Agreed...

This "but I served over there so I'm in danger" is wearing thin with a lot of people who served in conflicts over "there" and in also in other conflicts.

Certainly if he's really worried about his personal security he should stop highlighting his itinerary week's ahead, if he's really worried maybe just not travel...

GirlsInGreen · 02/07/2026 12:56

I'm in Birmingham. I want it cancelled. The City is teetering as it is.
The City Centre is a mess, it doesn't feel safe even in the middle of the day. Its scruffy, the shopping/dining/night life have gone to pot.
I really feel for IG participants who may shell out ££££ to get here & stay here.
I pray to god we've seen the last of terror attacks on our streets. Birmingham has never really healed from the pub bombings, death, destruction, 6 innocent men jailed & no justice to this day for the dead & their families.
I can't explain how fucking livid I am at that spoiled prick, invoking death on our streets again.
CANCEL IT.
It feels like the City is on the cusp of sectarian violence at the best of times.
And don't even start me that tax payers money is part funding this egotistical jamboree!
I don't know anyone who wants it here. Not one.

I think he is really mentally ill now. What can Charles do in this situation? It must keep him awake at night.

I think so too. He's spiralling and there's nobody to hold him back because he's cut off everyone who ever cared about him. He only has Meghan, and she is encouraging him.

I wonder if he knows he's lost the ANL case and is in line for major humiliation and a massive legal bill? That could be a contributing factor. He's come to Britain before without his preferred level of security and has sulked about it but not thrown a weeks long hissy fit on this level. I don't believe it's because he's terribly concerned about the children he regularly leaves behind either. All is not well in Casa Montecito.

Harry fought in Afghanistan, there'll be people after him for that.

Harry married a woman of colour, there'll be people after him for that.

Yet his "reason" for coming to the UK is to attend Invictus Events where many of the participants will have fought in Wars (including Afghanistan) and many will be people of colour who go about their business on a daily basis without the drama Harry is creating. The events themselves as military events will have security. It should be about the veterans - currently it is the Harry show.

Harry has been offered secure accommodation in royal buildings protected by armed guards - yet he refuses to accept it. It's about security theatre not really about security.

I have a feeling KC and Ravec will bend because of this ffs

Of course they won't. (It's not up to KC anyway.) Harry is coming across as, frankly, a deranged lunatic.

Agreed! And I would also highlight something from Harry’s bogus security report, that I missed and others may have too!
so we are told that Afghanistan wants to assassinate ALL the pilots who flew in Afghanistan during the war!
what about the other pilots Harry? What about them? Did you give that a thought before you went ahead and released this statement?

My sincere sympathy is with you and others in Birmingham 💐, rest assured that most of us have highlighted the cost and effect this would have on Birmingham and its residents.

Justdancevance · 02/07/2026 13:04

Those soldiers suffered life changing injuries and many will have battled mental health issues, and now they have to listen to this.

i think the idea of IG is wonderful but they should be spending the money helping soldiers get training, equipment, counselling and money towards attending the Paralympic’s with perhaps some extra events or categories geared towards the armed forces

GirlsInGreen · 02/07/2026 13:05

The Bham Councillors who went along with bread & circus to try to cover their inept mismanagement of the City ought to be held accountable - what risk assessments were done specific to Birmingham?
In a City where armed forces MEDICS were asked not to wear uniform outside of the QE Hospital!!!
Where we narrowly avoided full on race riots a few years ago.
Where Jews were asked not to come to a football match?
WTAF are they all thinking?

Justdancevance · 02/07/2026 13:05

The IG just gives me pyramid scheme vibes with the push towards getting new countries in.

Justdancevance · 02/07/2026 13:09

As some Jewish soldiers shot out and killed 15 paramedics in an ambulance convoy in rafah and then buried them to hide the evidence with so far I have seen zero consequences so far I don’t think it’s appropriate or safe for all attendees for the IDF to travel to IG.

Starryfifty · 02/07/2026 13:11

Wonder did he get word that he lost his ANL case and this hissy fit is a way of him staying home in montshitshow? He's manipulative enough to do it

bluegreygreen · 02/07/2026 13:12

If IG 2027 is cancelled, what happens to the £26m? Did it come from central government or from the city council?

I was wondering the same.

But if it's true that the judgement will be released on the 7th, I think he's likely only hearing about it today or at most a day or two ago. Parties to a case get advance notice so that they can prepare a statement and decide if they want to appeal, but I don't think it's more than a few days. Open to correction on this.

Never mind H's mental state. What medication is Chris Ship on ????

Chris Ship is well and truly in H&Ms pocket, so he'll follow whatever narrative he's told to, imho of course!

RAVEC specialise in protecting high profile people. That's their job, and they do it very well. They are far better informed about current threats to Harry than you or any of us here, and will have based their judgement on the high level intelligence they are privy to.

Do you really think the British govt would want any harm to come to the son and grandchildren of the King on their watch?

ETA: Harry does get protection when he visits. I do think this needs to be pointed out regularly.

Indeed! And I would add that Harry has been swanning around the world visiting war zones and controversial countries, yet we are led to believe these “assassins “ are patiently waiting for Harry to return to the U.K. to make their move? , Harry has already travelled back to the U.K. multiple times with no incidents , but they are waiting…because….🤷‍♀️

Meanwhile Catherine manages to wander about a packed Wimbledon and sit in Court 18 without clearing the seats around her !
