We're not likely to run out of things to talk about any time soon.

Morning! Thank you for starting the new thread. Yes, I'm sure there's still lots to discuss. The whole security issue has been fascinating.

OctopusFriend · Today 08:49

I can't believe the contrast of Harry's security demands and how the other royals manage to live, even KC and the Wales family.

Mylovelygreendress · Today 08:49

I am usually a bit ambivalent about Tom Sykes but I did enjoy his article criticising H and M and the fact that he admitted being taken in by them .
Wonder if others will follow suit ?

Good point, although I suppose it's hard to admit, especially if you supported them and believed their stories.

I think they like to feed Harry's drama.

I think it's being covered now. All those negative comments on People magazine show how opinion is changing. Their security requirements just look ridiculous compared to the royals getting on with it.

Waiting now for the revised itinerary to be released, where Harry will go ALONE to his engagements, presumably wearing a flak jacket.

Still announced ahead, though.

Harry seems to think, in his usual self obsessed way, that he is more of a target than other royals because he once served in Afghanistan, imho it's more about status and his injured pride than anything else.🙄

How can they live with this constant drama and stress? It cannot be healthy for either of them. I cannot imagine how awful it is for those kids

It's just crazy. What a terrible atmosphere, constantly putting themselves out there, constantly desperate for fame and headlines.

What I’m finding interesting is that this latest development seems to have irritated many of the journalists so much that they’re coming clean about the behind the scenes PR machinations.

For the last few weeks we’ve heard lots of “sources close to the Sussexes” or “insiders” as the sources for the stories. Now the media are saying openly “the Sussex office briefed us that Meghan was coming, that the kids were coming, that they would be meeting the King” etc etc.

Of course we all knew that this was Sussex sponsored leaks, but this makes it so clear that it’s all coming directly from them, not even from plausibly deniable ‘friends’.

The reporting sounds like a lot of the media bought into what they were saying because it was coming directly from them. And are feeling really really pissed off now that they’ve been made to look like idiots. Tom Sykes’ article is probably the most obvious example of this, the MSM articles are a little more subtle but the same tone is apparent.

I agree and it really annoys me that no one in the MSM points that out.

Many thanks @Mylovelygreendress👋

Not2identifying · Today 09:48

'Harry's got a mountain to climb to fix PR issues' is intended to contrast the chaotic and silly Sussexes with the rational, low-key Waleses.

NormalAuntFanny · Today 09:48

Thank you @Mylovelygreendress enjoy your op status!

Am going on holiday for 5 days so expect we will be on thread 21 by then unless things calm down a bit.

The Times is pretty down on the harkles today. Share token here.

The press seem pretty united in feeling duped by the latest drama, they finally seem to be able to make the point that security is always on offer as is accommodation, something they seem to have been incapable of pointing out in the past.

Is Megxin or Megxoff … Are Harry and Meghan still playing games?

The Sussexes appeared poised for a return to the UK with their children. Now, it seems, King Charles may be in for a longer wait to see Archie and Lilibet

Recklessismymiddlename · Today 09:51

Maybe the scales have started to fall or maybe they are finally pissed off enough at the games they are playing or seen the comments and seen the way the wind is blowing.

Starryfifty · Today 09:58

I bet he won't even come on his own. Ingriftus need to get shot of him asap

BigWillyLittleTodger · Today 10:19

Thanks for the new thread @Mylovelygreendress Harry has really shot himself in the foot this time by pissing off the media, he thought he was being so clever by manipulating the press and trying to manipulate Ravec and the Palace, what a tool.

binkie163 · Today 10:20

I have tried repeatedly signing Harry/invinctus petition and I don't get the confirmation email to click on 🤷 my husband also tried. Anyone else had a problem? How many signatures not getting through.
