Hello I thought I'd start a thread where we can build up the excitement for tomorrow 😂

I'm enjoying the English Country/ family vibe I'm getting from the setting and wedding prep.

Fox Gloves in the flowers 💕

I'm looking forward to seeing Harriet's dress, she's a very attractive women, but the flowers are always of special interst to me.

Who do we think will be bridesmaids? Peters P's and Harriet's daughters presumably? Zara's kids?

I read that Philip and Zara have a half sister who will be attending, I didn't kow about her!

I also read that Peters first wedding to Autumn was sold to Hello and criticised for this. Very tacky. It looks like he's learned and is not cashing in this time, so hopefully we'll get a good look at evryone.

I would never have guessed that, either. Looks like something from Wallis! Or Marks and Spencer.

It really doesn’t

I love this lady’s outfit the best. Although I’ve never worn red. I don’t think it’s for me. I like the clean simple lines. Her sandals are pretty too. And the big poppy hat/fascinator is fun and set off by the simple dress.

The flowers in the church are gorgeous.
Not unlike the lovely church flowers I posted yesterday done by some florist who posts on instagram.

Yes I liked that outfit too
Agree with PPs that Mappo Mozeeli looked a right mess

I'm fed up of all the media going on about 'NHS nurse'.

FGS- are they trying to say' He's married a commoner'?
Or she works for the NHS?

She can't pay £60K school fees on a nurse's income so either her ex or parents are funding it.

But the headlines make out she's a pauper .

Quite. She’s from an upper middle class background, Grew up in a six-bedroom Gloucestershire house. Links to the Courage Brewery dynasty and educated at Dean Close school.

Asking again - what is stuck to the tiara? And why wasn’t it removed before the photos?

It does look odd. I think it is to do with the veil and fixing it, but it should have been more discrete. 🤷‍♀️

Is Eugenie’s wedding outfit the same one she wore to the coronation?

Harriet is quite a stylish woman generally, so I was expecting to be impressed by her bridal look. However so many people’s sense of style seems to desert them on their wedding day! I can’t work out how a dress could make a woman that slim actually look broad, but it succeeded. The shape doesn’t work and don’t get me started on the veil.
It’s really not a good advert for Emilia Wickstead! The bride and I are exactly the same age so there is no ageism here.

The bridemaids’ dresses are lovely on the other hand, and I actually think a more interesting and sophisticated version of that dress could have looked lovely on the bride. It’s such a chic hemline! India Hicks wore a similar silhouette at her wedding a few years ago and it was beautiful (although still wore a veil…)

Catherine and Camilla looked wonderful. Though overall I thought the guest fashion was of a very low
standard.

She is a pretty woman but it felt a bit much - the long train for a small church, tiara with full veil and lots of lace! She is a slim woman but I thought the dress material gathered over her hips when she walked so it didn't hang as elegantly as it should. Her hair and makeup was lovely. Do we know how tall she is/dress size? That sort of column dress is amazing on tall women. She looked very happy and that is the best thing to bedeck oneself with on a wedding day. I hope we hear more from her as she seems quite a grounded person who could do a lot with her new position.

PlentifulPeoniesPlease · Today 20:55

Catherine's dress looks very beige in most of the photos but I saw it described as "blush pink" and it did indeed look a pale pink in one photo I saw. The pink looked prettier! It's a gorgeous dress imo but she must have been cold. It was cold outside and churches are always cold inside.

BasiliskStare · Today 20:56

I'm sure Eugenie's shoes were well balanced and easier to walk in than they looked but they just didn't look elegant to my eye. & yes as @NameChangeMay2026 says wouldn't be my first choice whilst heavily pregnant.

I thought in the published photographs Zara seemed to be doing her fair share of the heavy lifting in making the York girls feel welcome. I didn't like Beatrice's dress , but that is purely a sartorial opinion - a lot of people did like it. I thought neither of the York husbands looked particularly great, but E's husband probably had the edge out of the two of them.

Thank you @PlentifulPeoniesPlease for your selfless on the spot reporting. I didn't really think you were that woman , it just amused me to think so. Anyway your shot of the "crowd" said to me how very brave a lot of those guests in short sleeves were - it did look more like rainproof jacket with hood weather 😊I'm sure they're all warm and dry now though.

Edit spelling dry not spry - though they may be that too 😂

Linencat · Today 21:00

I think its a white rose petal on her tiara
It wasnt there when she walked in and there are petals on the ground

It was only borrowed from the jeweller …I think it is the security tag…or maybe one of those tags that say ‘if removed this item cannot be returned’ .😉😂

(I think it is a white rose petal from the arch)

They are regarded as an invasive species - I have quite a few wild ones on the edge of my garden and I thought I might have to pull them up. But apparently you are only obliged to remove them on public/communal land. They add colour to my garden in summer

Where is this roughly?

Is Eugenie’s wedding outfit the same one she wore to the coronation?

No, her dress at the coronation is navy but a shiny, satin thing with a high round neck and an embellished collar/diamond necklace (with matching earrings).

But Today's shoes and coat are the same as at the coronation. Likely she threw on the coat last minute b/c it's dang chilly for 'summer'. Lucky it's all navy. Good on her for 'recycling' and also planning well for the weather.

Just looked up India Hicks' wedding. Elegant? Noooooo! It's probably the frumpiest wedding dress I've ever seen! It has a polo neck 🤣, sleeves down to her hands, skirt almost ankle-length but not a beautiful bridal length, and all in thick, solid, curtain-like fabric. What was she thinking? She looks like a nun attending a tea party! For reference, one of the wedding dresses I've liked best was Kate Middleton's. Appropriate with just the slightest hint of sexy, and nothing frumpy about it at all!

India: Omg.

India Hicks’ mother died yesterday.

Edited

hahaha!
I agree that it's a rose petal or similar but 'security tag' is a great line!

I googled Eugenie's shoes because I just couldn't make them work in my head from the photo angle. They are these apparently . I personally can't see the appeal 😊 By which I mean they are to my eye just very ugly. Each to their own.

All of Zara’s kids were there, and on another forum someone said Harriet’s nieces/nephews were there.

I don’t think not inviting cousins children is too bad tbh. There would have been 8 children just between William, Beatrice and Eugenie’s children, then children from Mark Phillip’s side and then Harriet’s cousins.

I think even when you’ve got plenty of money drawing a line somewhere is fair enough.

This is a very good point i didn't think of.

I fell into the trap of presuming the POW etc were more important in the wedding party than non royal aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.

Of course they're just cousins and cousins children unlikely to be invited!

I was too busy royal watching to think about the actual family hierarchies here.
