Hello I thought I'd start a thread where we can build up the excitement for tomorrow 😂

I'm enjoying the English Country/ family vibe I'm getting from the setting and wedding prep.

Fox Gloves in the flowers 💕

I'm looking forward to seeing Harriet's dress, she's a very attractive women, but the flowers are always of special interst to me.

Who do we think will be bridesmaids? Peters P's and Harriet's daughters presumably? Zara's kids?

I read that Philip and Zara have a half sister who will be attending, I didn't kow about her!

I also read that Peters first wedding to Autumn was sold to Hello and criticised for this. Very tacky. It looks like he's learned and is not cashing in this time, so hopefully we'll get a good look at evryone.

I like Catherine’s hat. Really don’t think the dress is doing her any favours and an odd colour choice for a wedding.

Quite liked Beatrice’s whole look. Also Zara’s.

I think Kate's outfit is a bit drab, but I think it's very nice of her to pick something she won't stand out in. As the next Queen, it would be very easy for her to unintentionally upstage the bride since she usually gets so much attention, and she's clearly taken care not to do that.

I like Kate’s outfit more every time I look at it. She is a great hat wearer

Had to laugh when someone said she looked like a Norland Nanny! She does, a bit!

I don’t think it’s attacking either and I was not aiming at you. But the comments have been horrible in part, from calling her a frumpfest, saying her dress looks like it’s choking her, itchy, that eugenie and Beatrice look a fright, Anne looks awful, Kate looks too thin, the guests dresses are awful on the women. That the brides dress is ott for a 46 year old on her second marriage, how awful her dress is, how her hair isn’t good, how the flower girls dresses are better suited to toddlers,. It’s an endless list of horrible comments. Pretending it’s not doesn’t change it, it’s there for everyone to read.

Well done for going through the 20 pages of this thread and noting down every negative comment. Have you nothing better to do with your time?

I'm another feeling there should be a picture of the bride's mother.

I really like Camillla's cream scalloping. So pretty.

Me too.

@Scorchio84 @PrincessBeatch the correct pronunciation is definitely boo-kay not bow-kay. Hyacinth is right!

NameChangeMay2026 · Yesterday 16:50

I think the bouquet was too small. A little bigger in a tear-drop shape would have been much better.

I actually love her dress. I think it is beautifully tailored and the colour is clearly distinct from bridal white. I'm relieved for her it wasn't sunnier though, as the fabric looks heavy. I guess she had several options lined up.

I think the bride looks radiant and happy and, while I was surprised to see the whole veil thing for a second wedding, she was elegant and church appropriate.

I liked Sarah Chatto's skirt!

The Isabelle lady looks lovely but I'm never a fan of that sort of thin satiny fabric.

I really like Kate's outfit too. Apparently it's Roland Mouret which I would never have guessed. As someone said above, that silhouette suits her figure much more than the pencil dresses she often wears.

Omg, so funny! Now I see it!

It's a beautiful silhouette. Really liked her outfit today.

Sophie's handbag is a very odd choice! Looks like she's off to the pool or beach!

This sounds like sophistcated back-handed insult! I loved it, full stop.

I think her skirts are too long these days. She often wears them almost to her ankles, like here, and it makes her proportions look off, imho. Makes her torso look really short compared to an extremely long bottom half. I know very long skirts almost to the ankles are a trend, but I'm not a huge fan, personally.

Love the Norland Nanny comparison 🤣

Just looked and yes could have been a bit bigger.

Really? Why do you love it? It's really nothing to write home about, when you compare it to many of the lovely outfits she's worn in the past. It's beige and boring in both style and colour. I truly think she wore something nondescript so as not to outshine the bride.

You’ve summed it up beautifully! Everyone has an opinion. If the comments are critical, why is that wrong?

I would never have guessed that, either. Looks like something from Wallis! Or Marks and Spencer.

Ah you see I like the length. I never like an "English Ma'am mid calf" look.

Camilla looks really lovely, but I wish she'd drop her hemlines by an inch or two to gain fluidity and avoid that matronly length. I think that would have taken it from lovely to stunning. But she looks wonderful all the same.

They're both divorced and in their forties after long marriages and have families with their first spouses. Seems a bit silly to have a big white wedding, as if they're a young couple in love embarking on building a lifelong marriage and family together. Muttons trying to be lambs! 🤣 I'd have expected them to have a wedding more like Charles and Camilla's.

Muttons trying to be lambs!

You again.

@Firesidechatter at first I was thinking you’re wrong, they’re all broadly supportive comments. Then this gem turned up.

I think there’s a difference between enjoying chatting about fashion and then using words like frumpfest and suggesting a woman in her 40s has been round the block too many times to be appropriate in virginal white, etc.

😁 It genuinely was my first thought (before I get accused of being mean) and only when I read the caption did I realise who it actually was.
Maybe Specsavers is calling louder than I think!

ExitPursuedByABare · Yesterday 17:03

@Chrysanthemum5 Me too. I’m easily pleased. Although I’m really not keen on Beatrice’s dress but I’ve never really liked anything I’ve seen her in.

I love Sophie’s bag but that’s just me. Think Kate looks perfect but she usually does. Anne her usual bonkers self. The leading royals all seems to have gone down the pale buttermilk palette, as is Charles’s waistcoat so presume it was deliberate and on the Royal WhatsApp. Beatrice has never been on it. Pity the young ones were not there.
