Denials by Americans will have more impact. The average American doesn't think about Harry.

Guest385 · 23/01/2026 21:06

I agree with Harry’s statement but unfortunately for me it looses its impact as it feels inauthentic after all he had said and done. I personally don’t believe he cares too much about his country unless he can get some money out of it. My thoughts are with those that have lost a family member and how hard it is for them when the leader of the free world is so disregarding of their sacrifice.

Not2identifying · 23/01/2026 23:08

I think it's a pretty good statement and I support his right to freedom of speech.

From a PR perspective (given the thread topic), I think this is a win for him.

From the RF's perspective, I think I'd be interested to see Harry weighing in on (arguably) the world's most powerful man. Chances are that he may continue to weigh in on highly sensitive topics and if he ever gets it wrong, his 'Prince' title will surely be at risk. On balance, I think this time he got it right. Next time...

I think this is an advantage of his current status: everyone knows he isn’t representing the royal family but what he says will be reported.

If only a few Americans read that and learn that what Trump said is an ugly vicious lie, that’s a win.

Charles et al have to tip-toe around Captain bone spur, but any consequence on Harry speaking out will be felt by Harry alone.

Agreed.

He's no longer "in" the Royal Family as such.

He has a public platform and he was actually in Afghanistan.

Plus - if what I've read is the full statement - he doesn't directly refer to Trump at all. He doesn't mention Trump's statement and say that it's a disgraceful lie, as many commentators have done. He just makes a truthful statement of the facts and of his experience. Which is, I think, considerably less incendiary and "political," while still highly effective.

Whoever wrote that statement did a good job, and Harry did well to deliver it. I'm not generally a fan of his, but credit where it's due.

Sunshine Sachs bringing the goods to the table ! Harry is still a twat no matter whose speech he reads.

MrMischief · 24/01/2026 01:00

He is so dim that light bends around him.

My theory is the brain inside his tragic barnet is like the Faraway Tree. Every day there is a new land / reality arriving there. His wife is the Angry Pixie and he has indulged in too many “pop cakes”.

I was thinking more along the lines of Faraway Cows.

There's something of the Dougal McGuire about Harry.

Probably not a good idea to be poking Trump when the questions over Harry’s visa are still ongoing.

I think Liam has been a busy bee! And … as ever … Megs jumping on someone else’s bandwagon … just happens to be Hazza’s albeit he was on the Army’s bandwagon, if as was suggested, he did virtually sod all in Afghanistan, and what he did he was heavily guarded with personal security

Telegraph:

‘The Duke of Sussex’s stalker sat a stone’s throw from him on two occasions at the High Court last week, The Telegraph can reveal.
Prince Harry was in court for the opening of his privacy trial against the publisher of the Daily Mail and gave evidence two days later.
It can now be revealed that the known stalker, who it is understood may be suffering from mental health issues, attended the hearing on two of the four days the Duke was in court, taking a seat in the public gallery just a few metres behind him.
On both occasions, the woman, who is on a list of known fixated individuals drawn up by a private intelligence company for the Duke, was immediately noticed by his private security team, which in turn alerted court security staff.
A source close to the Duke said: “There is nothing they could do; they are not the police. It’s a public building, and she has a right to be there.”
They added: “He is obviously always worried about his security situation; it’s not ideal.”

so……

  • The private security/intelligence was enough to establish there was a situation. So he doesn’t need public protection/access to intelligence then…..
  • This stalker, while I’m sure must be concerning, hasn’t attempted to harass or harm him. He didn’t seem to be in any danger.
  • He can’t expect a public place to be cleared for him. The audacity.

Also….we know that legal recourse is his first line of action.

This ‘stalker’ clearly hasn’t done anything that would mean:

  • the police would be involved
  • a court action issued : restraining order, harassment injunction, stalker prevention order

So can she really be described as such? It’s just a super fan clearly

Is she not a member of the Squad ? I thought H had been photographed with her or am I getting mixed up ?

I am not sure of her status but Harry has definitely posed for pictures with her and I think she was at one of the faux overseas tours (Nigeria IIRC).

BemusedAmerican · 24/01/2026 22:44

Did anyone post photos of her in the courthouse or drawings of her in the room?

She was personally invited to the IG thanksgiving service last year at St Paul’s Cathedral….she did a SM live about it afterwards.

Why do I think RAVEC is monitoring reddit & MN? 😁

Yeah, there’s something really fishy about all this.

ThePoshUns · 25/01/2026 08:46

Having a stalker shouldn’t mean he is granted armed security. There are plenty of members of the public who have stalkers ( who they haven’t invited to events!) who have to just get on with it.
play silly games Harry, win stupid prizes.

Thedom · 25/01/2026 09:04

I bet if she was a cute 20 something white woman fan, instead of a 60 something black woman fan, he might not be having the same 'stalker' concerns.

So, is she a stalker or an over-enthusiastic groupie?
