Telegraph report on Netflix figures

(can't remember who posted the figures at the end of the last thread to acknowledge, sorry)

In between the Mr. Mischief on Facebook revelations and the Netflix numbers confirming a flop, I am not sure what H&M's strategy is, if any.

Every court case brings more revelations that silence would have avoided. Previously H&M denied briefing Scobie for Finding Freedom, only for emails to emerge showing email instructions to Jason Knauf to brief Omid Scobie. In this ongoing case we have been treated to Mr. Mischief's varied recollections...such as his ludicrous claim about not visiting Ibiza before his dating M when there are plenty of photos in various tabloids of a twenty-something Mr. Mischief partying in Ibiza.

Netflix did not become an entertainment juggernaut by indulging failure as management is accountable to a Board of Directors scrutinising quarterly earnings and determining pay packages. All the messaging in the world could not cover up that the entire lifestyle show was shot at once, there was no Season 2 renewal, and that the holiday special was dead on arrival. All the meg-mathics numbers of millions of dollars in spread and other goods sales exist in the realm of imagination.

H&M are yesterday's news...totally boring. How do you even begin to resuscitate such a damaged brand?

Ouch 😂

The Independent does not hold back.

Harry won't be pleased about these articles, highlighting all his shortcomings and failures.

elessar · 23/01/2026 13:45

I’m sure he will also not be pleased by the plastering of the court drawings all over the place that are exceedingly unflattering 😂

It wouldn’t at all surprise me to find that he has Liam on overtime trying to get them taken down.

Perhaps he'll suggest that Mr Mischief is an alter ego so "not really him", @My2cents1975? Let's face it, it wouldn't make any less sense than much he comes out with

I really wish you hadn't mentioned Jason Knauf though; these threads have been pretty well tempered on the whole, and the very name tends to attract those remaining fans who'll never forgive him

AtIusvue · 23/01/2026 18:57

Bit of respect for Harry. There’s a first! Although I am aware this is also a way of Harry trying to make himself an important figure. But who cares!

Trump is a fucking disgrace.

BBC:

Prince Harry, who served in Afghanistan, has released a statement in response to Trump's remarks:
"In 2001, Nato invoked Article 5 for the first—and only—time in history. It meant that every allied nation was obliged to stand with the United States in Afghanistan, in pursuit of our shared security. Allies answered that call.
"I served there. I made lifelong friends there. And I lost friends there. The United Kingdom alone had 457 service personnel killed.
"Thousands of lives were changed forever. Mothers and fathers buried sons and daughters. Children were left without a parent. Families are left carrying the cost.
"Those sacrifices deserve to be spoken about truthfully and with respect, as we all remain united and loyal to the defence of diplomacy and peace."

Just came to post this.

While I agree with him, he needs to be careful. With the previous comments alienating Trump (and the comments about the Constitution that @BemusedAmerican has told us about), making public statements in the middle of the current febrile atmosphere may not be wise.

True.

Normally, I would be pissed off about him making such statements and how it underlines why he shouldn’t have titles.

However, on this one occasion, I will let it slide.

If it has consequences, it has consequences. What Trump said, what the Whitehouse has refused to apologise for, is truly sickening. They need called out.

But….if you piss off Trump, Harry may get a special visit from ICE.

OP posts:
BemusedAmerican · 23/01/2026 19:43

I think Harry's visit from ICE will be different from the average person's visit from ICE.

I just posted comments in the PR thread about your king's visit to the US.

BemusedAmerican · 23/01/2026 19:44

Sorry - the Trump insulted thread.

WMW · 23/01/2026 19:50

However pretendy Harry's time in Afghanistan was, he served with real soldiers who got real injuries and lost real lives. I think that was a good statement he gave.

He was there in the capacity of a helicopter pilot. Any other low-ranking pilots posting their 'statement' would be ignored. He is stepping on his father's toes and blundering into diplomatic territory. He should sit down and shut up.

HeddaGarbled · 23/01/2026 19:58

Agree: good statement and I’m glad he made it.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 23/01/2026 20:09

Just a small point, but while opinions will naturally differ on the statement, does anyone suppose Harry actually wrote it?

Seems rather unlikely to me, but of course I could be wrong ...

I assumed it was a PR person.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm no supporter of Harry's. I just thought it was a good, heartfelt statement.

bluegreygreen · 23/01/2026 20:14

It's difficult.

What he said was reasonably sensible (though with a bit too much 'I' rather than 'we' for my liking).

As a member of the British Royal Family, though, he's not supposed to get involved in politics - and given the febrile nature of the current political scene it may have consequences. It certainly doesn't make tricky decisions about state visits any easier.

Mylovelygreendress · 23/01/2026 20:23

I agree @bluegreygreen. He is a member of the RF ( and don’t you forget it!) so really should not get involved in anything political especially when KC will soon be making an official visit to the US.

HeddaGarbled · 23/01/2026 20:27

I think this is an advantage of his current status: everyone knows he isn’t representing the royal family but what he says will be reported.

If only a few Americans read that and learn that what Trump said is an ugly vicious lie, that’s a win.

Charles et al have to tip-toe around Captain bone spur, but any consequence on Harry speaking out will be felt by Harry alone.

elessar · 23/01/2026 20:34

For once I agree Harry’s statement is actually pretty good (I’m guessing Liam wrote it - isn’t he also ex military so a subject close to his heart?)

I do agree though it could tone down the I references - this one really doesn’t have to centre you Harry.
