As ever and PR disasters continued

So Meghan lost her fathers number but is ringing round hospitals and will send a handwritten note, as per Sussex sources speaking through the Sun, the Telegraph and the Times.

I mean I have no idea, how it works with PR for very famous people, but surely there are scenarios they prep for?

Her dad is in his 80s, severely obese and has suffered ill health for years. You would think, there would be protocol in what to do should the worst happen.

That would include having up to date contact info. This isn’t something Meg would need to have/get involved with if she’s estranged, but surely ‘The Office of the DDOS’ would. Then engage in their set plan- whether that’s a public statement that this is a private affair or that contact has been made through the proper channels.

Whatever this is, it isn’t professional-it’s complete chaos.

I wonder if she’ll chuck a few sprinkles in with the note to elevate it?

Talltreesbythelake · 07/12/2025 21:53

That's a nice idea, she could send him a gift basket. So thoughtful. Signed, HRH, the Duchess of Sausages. 🌟 if you get the reference.

AtIusvue · 07/12/2025 21:54

We honestly can’t rule out anything!

I joked on the previous thread, that she will send a note saying ‘you’re so brave’

unbelievable

Maybe she could write on a banana and pop that to him?

To me at least the obvious thing would be to issue a statement saying this is a private family matter. Yes it would instantly be pointed out that they've trashed the privacy of so many others, but at least it might get them off the hook of a situation they've clearly got no idea how to handle

What’s the hand written note to achieve ? Is it to avoid talking to him on the phone - or the call being intercepted by TMjr? It’s not a dialogue or a two way street - it just puts her in a more controlled position. She clearly doesn’t want to hear from her DF or speak with him - just slap a note out to cover her back.

I noticed when I went to the local shop the Daily Fail had a big spread of him all over the front page begging his daughter to come and see him, no doubt orchestrated by the scum bags at the mail and exactly why his daughter won't visit. You would think he would have learnt by now that spreading himself all over the front pages of the tabloids like this guarantees that Meghan will not be seeing him any time soon.
Im hardly her biggest fan but seriously if that was me Id be running away in the opposite direction.

Is it a handwritten note so that she can discuss it with "5 friends" who will leak the contents to People, Page Six and her other favourite outlets?

And claims that she has been reaching out to her dad since the wedding but, despite hiring a bunch of employees - some with the word 'communications' in their job title - and private jets at their disposal, didn't manage to get in touch with him. And now she's lost his phone number.

FFS I know which hospital he's in!

A point I made on the previous thread - dog-ate-my-homework excuses to make it all Daddy's fault that he never got to see his daughter, SIL and GCs.

How long until Meredith Maines walks?

https://www.thesun.co.uk/royals/37562017/prince-harry-armed-police-security-kids-king-charles/

Can you image how the public will react if he gets security?

The article is written in a way which suggests this is a U turn, but from reading the detail it sounds more like they’re just doing another risk assessment which must be relatively standard.

I’d have thought it’s very unlikely that his risk will have increased from 5 years ago - if anything surely more likely to have decreased as he becomes less and less relevant.

Meanwhile the shenanigans with Meghan and her dad continue. The latest nonsense about phoning around hospitals and a handwritten note, it just smacks of absolute desperation at this point.

Mylovelygreendress · 07/12/2025 23:12

If all else fails Meghan could send smoke signals ?

AtIusvue · 07/12/2025 23:19

Also weird that the Sun got two exclusives.

That Meg has been calling around hospitals and that Harry is getting another review and the security stuff. They’ve obviously put out the info about the review to try and cover the disaster PR over Megs dad.

The review has been underway for weeks now….but today we suddenly hear about it.

I think the home office are attempting to placate Harry- but there won’t be any actual change to the set up. But that’s a dangerous game, because it makes Harry believe he is entitled and correct to be following this path. The fuckwit that he is.

Another review. So yet more public money spent on this useless Rent-a-Prince. If ever there was an advert for contraception, he surely is it.

chunkyBoo · 07/12/2025 23:27

Sorry not RTFT but this is Megain using this as full PR potential only. She has no shame, she had no time for him when he was ill around the wedding … anything now ye PR only otherwise why fucking tell all the media?! She’s a monster

AutumnCrown · 07/12/2025 23:31

Actually I think this is the Mail and the Sun now pissing about with H&M just to play silly buggers.

The review is a standard review. The Mail stuff is game-playing because I suspect the Mail knows there is no Global Chief Communications Officer in place doing anything remotely useful.

I thought she had gone according to the last thread?

Obeseandashamed · 08/12/2025 00:11

I could be wrong g but isn’t he in a hospital in the Philippines. If so, I don’t imagine it being as straight forward as you’d hope

BemusedAmerican · 08/12/2025 03:29

If Harry loses the review does he have to pay the costs?

TM Sr. has the name of his hospital printed on his hospital gown. He's not hard to find.

It's because they can't resist "seeing the record straight" everytime they receive even slightly negative press. This backfires massively in this sort of situation where no one knows what is really happening but everyone wants to speculate and rumour becomes truth through repetition.

I agree with a simple press statement stating it's a family matter and then being silent regardless of what is written or said about them. It's the only way to stop the press, remove anything they can feed off.

Absolutely. He is such a great target because he will always clap back and provide material for the next day's articles. They hardly have to do any work to keep the clicks coming.

I was going to say the same. The headline is sensational and dramatic, not surprising given that it is The S*n. But it's not that the HO has been required to reassess his level of security. Just that there will be a new threat asessment. It's been 5 years, so I doubt this is unexpected.
